Good content for aspiring young writers. A little more slanted towards girls than boys, i think, but I have only gotten a couple of issues so far.
Communication could be a LOT better: did you get my subscription order? When will my first issue arrive? (That is a big deal, because it could be many many weeks after you send in the subscription request- which got barely acknowledged. You’re really left wondering if you were scammed. You weren’t! But you don’t know that.) When can I expect issues, in general? That sort of communication would earn Cricket the 5th star.

Magazines are great! When daughter's subscription lapsed, she begged to resubscribe. For summer or holidays, they're full of activities and great to take on the road. When traveling they're lighter than books and can be left behind for someone else to enjoy.

I have tried numerous times to subscribe and each time my payment will not go through. Customer service has been no help as it seems like it processes on their end, but it never works. I've tried possibly up to 6 times last spring. I give up. I even tell them that it is a problem with my billing address. I've tried calling to order and placing the order online. Also reached out to the Education rep and he told me to order online. And then even though my payment does not go through, I still receive magazines in the mail. My teachers are very disappointed as they do enjoy the magazines but it is too frustrating to keep trying.

I didn't expect two months of issue in one magazine. It's less content than I expected. I won't recommend to others and I also will not subscribe again. Too expensive.

It took numerous phone calls over several months and even now I am not certain that my gift will ever arrive. I received an issue to my home address, numerous emails and bills. Charges and a credit to my credit card. I love your products but I will never recommend it again,

I do feel subscriptions are a bit pricey though.
Poor Service
I bought this subscription for my nephew who was turning four on July 1st. I ordered it in early June, however, there was no gift card sent to advise that a subscription would be coming and the first issue did not arrive until September, along with the second issue a week later. I am not planning to renew this subscription next year.
Edit: customer service was very responsive. Further update to follow.
My grandson never got his magazine. I realized that I had entered my address on the subscription instead of his, immediately after hitting send. I tried to change the subscriber address to his. No magazine has come to either location. Very disappointing.
*based on this review, I heard from customer service the very next day. This mistake was in an error in the mailing address, and I have been assured that this will be addressed. When the magazine arrives, I will provide another update.

An old friend
We've been getting these magazines for a long time. At first the subscription to babybug was a gift when our child was very little, but we loved them so much we kept getting them, then switched to ladybug when they got older. They're engaging, great practice for reading, they have lovely art and a nice variety of stories, word and visual games, and poems.
Subscribed for my 2 grand daughters.
Subscribed to Cricket and Muse for my two grand daughters, 8 and 10. Back issues I ordered were delivered quickly and regular issues showed up on time. My son and daughter-in-law are both impressed with the magazines' content and really appreciate the "just facts", unbiased nature of the news stories.
Ordered early May, didn't receive 1 till mid Aug
I purchased one subscription in early May. By July 23 I had not received anything so I called. I was told my issue that was already mailed must have been lost in the mail so she would request a new one be sent. I was told I would receive it within 2 weeks. Three weeks later I called again and was told by a new rep that I never had been sent any issue because my first issue wasn't due to go out until August. She said it would arrive by Aug 16. I got it Aug 12. So ordering early May to Aug 12 which is ridiculous. I had wanted it for summer reading and road trips but got it the first day school started.
