Same problem as S. Fuller. been charged twice .received email to say funds will be paid back to account. now 6 weeks no joy. I now have to prove to them that funds have not been paid to my account by sending bank statement.
. they will not prove it has been paid which would save a lot of hassle and negative reviews but looking at the reviews they just do not care. unfortunately this organisation cannot be avoided if you wish to work in construction. legal advise is the only option available.

I've just completed my two cscs courses last week and it cost me a lot of money!,so on the 31st of January i paid for my new cscs card.Yesterday the first of February i received a message telling me that because of a technical problem i would have to reapply,so i rang them and said ok we will just pay for the new card with what ive already paid,not possible they tell me!,so today ive paid another £36 for a new card and everything now concerning the card is ok but the problem is they do not want to pay me back the £36 i paid for the first card!!!!!,they just don't give a .........

Honestly wish I could give zero stars. Done my online test, and day course with city and guilds. Passed it all, but cscs refusing to issue my card despite uploading all evidence. Then just shutdown my account and refunded my £36 card fee. Everyone I spoke to was zero help. been trying to resolve this for 5 weeks now!! Just sent on a constant merry go-round!! I hate this organization passionately. I have passed the test, attended the training you would think issuing the card would be straightforward!!!!!

Dam been at it for days still unclear if i will ever get my card customer service is awful get more information out of a potato

Worst system I have ever had to use. Newly entered the construction industry after being in engineering. It is so dated & inefficient. I never leave reviews but I am this case hoping that something gets done. I am still awaiting my card after applying 2 months ago. The support system takes almost a week to get back to you. Awful organisation. Something needs to be done.

Terrible system, terrible company.
Absolute shambles, they seem to be determined to put up as many barriers as they can to stop you from having a card.
They took my money but can't get a card out of them.
There must be a better way to show site safety for workers!

Absolute scum bags!!! Money for old rope!!! Just pass you from pillar to post and all they affiliates to do any and all training courses , just so everyone gets some money from you on their two bit tests a monkey could pass!! I have been in my current job for 22 years, I have SSSTS, first aid, confined space search and rescue with full breathing apparatus, NVQ level 3 in site supervision, PASMA and a HNC in engineering along with various other training accreditations! I have had a red supervisor and or manager card with these clowns for several years now,, but CSCS have decided not to issue this card anymore, so I have been jumping through hoops for these tossers for 10 months now, ringing them constantly and getting conflicting stories on how to achieve one of their two bit s£&t cards that mean absolutely nothing!! I have been told to do this coarse, that coarse and gave their “mates” £100’s .. and once I have jumped through all their hoops, the website won’t allow me to update all my training certificates I have had to pay these wa£&ers for in the first place!!! NO WONDER THE CITB ARE PULLING OUT!!! You should be bloody ashamed of yourselves!!!!

If I could give no star for the service I’ve just received over the phone I would! Just reading the comments in here makes absolute sense! The horrible woman that picked up the phone has zero customer experience! Never in my entire life have I been treated like this! She was talking right over me the whole time without even listening to my query and literally told me that she will hang up the phone which she did! I’m speechless! Horrible service! Horrible horrible!

If i could mark zero that would be too much !
For a cashcow card you would think getting card would be simple( after old card expired & new test complete)

Easier to get a work abroad visa or a new passport!

Absolute scam. What else is there to say. I passed the online test but because I hadn't done an online course they wouldn't send me my card. Luckily a provider paid for the test that being said £22.50 for the test + £36 for the card which I won't receive + how ever much the 1 day online course costs. I did a 5 day CITB course a few years before and earned a certificate but was told it had "expired" and I'm sure that's how knowledge of H&S works.
I feel sorry for anyone who has to have one of these cards to work or has to deal with this faceless soulless money grabbing corporation. Thank god they're being phased out and common sense will become a thing again.

We all need to stand together an take legal action against this corrupt to the bone service think they have power you can't get anyone to deal with you directly it's all different business yet they expect you to have this card crooks the lot of them

Jumped through the hoops and paid my dues. Now a month later still can’t get on site to work because no card has arrived. In fact I just got of the phone to CSCS and it hasn’t even been printed yet let alone posted. Seems to me like a third party joke and nothing to do with safety.

I’m 52 Yrs old working as bricklayer since 14
Told now I need to do nvq which is my time and money wasted

Working with so called qualified card holding bricklayers on jobs that have blue and gold cards that are terrible at their job. Yet I don’t qualify?
Rip off scam scheme should not be allowed

Complete process is a joke, overcomplicated by people you cant speak with. Cant complain cant get it sorted and without the card you cant go to work- Perfect example of why the country is in so much trouble. What fool came up with this idea?

My husband is a site labourer. Depending on the weather & other stuff such as compo running out, or scaffolding not up etc, he nets on average £425 a week. His card ran out so to renew it he paid £43 for the CSCS test. The booking email informed him that he also MUST do the £150 safety awareness test!! We don't have £150 just floating about. Disgusting rip off!

What a service full of people who don't know what their doing ,refused my application because of 1 letter wrong in my name sent them my passport etc and they still messed it up now I can't application until I get my money back which can take 10 days totally raging

I have been a joiner for 32 years.
These fools have issued me with my gold card as I have city and guilds and advanced craft.
I need to renew as ran out. Now I am told that I need to produce certificates that I EARNT from 30 odd years ago!!! REALLY!! I'm lucky if I can find my bank card and car keys after destressing at weekends after dealing with fools who shouldn't be any where near a building site!!!!

Money grabbing, the whole CSCS card carry on is a rip off. It just it's a pay wall for workers wanting to get into the trade industry. Greedy companies looking to make money wherever they can. It's nothing to do with training all about GREED!!

Having past all the necessary tests etc, I applied for my CSCS card , after waiting just short of a week, received notification everything ok, card is being processed should be with you within 10 days, 13 days later , still waiting rang CSCS to find out the issue, told due to a technical difficulty the card hadn’t been printed, on asking why, was told that’s why we ask you to contact us if you haven’t received your card within 10 days.
I replied so if I didn’t ring in to ask where’s the card you would not have realised that there’s an issue … couldn’t answer.
Ok can you tell when I’ll receive my card answer No.
The CSCS helper all I can say , I’ve escalated your case.
Can I speak to a manager, reply NO,I’ve escalated your case.
How am I supposed to make a living without the card ? Answer I’ve escalated up.
They have had my money, left me in limbo for over 3.5 weeks and don’t give a toss about how incompetent they are, what hardship they are causing.
To me it’s another government quango, out to make money for whoever they represent, it’s certainly not the worker.
Terrible, customer service , terrible attitude, terrible people who don’t care.
They should not be allowed to trade.

cscs ripping off the working class ...i tried renewing my cscs card but now i took one test and thought id renew my card ...now i have to pay another 60 pounds for a card and another test costing 150 pounds ...total rip off..legalised scam preventing people getting to work
