Late last year, we consigned a large number luxury items, that had belonged to my partner's late wife. She worked for major significant designers, including most recently Tom Ford, and her collection had been incredibly important to her. Beyond this emotional significance, it was also valuable - CSD set its re-sale value at 20,000 GBP.
We are owed 2,000 GBP for items listed on the account as sold, dating back from Dec 2025 to February 2026. I have had no update on the status of the large number of remaining items. Despite multiple calls and emails, I have received no response, payment or status.
I have sent a Letter Before Action together with evidence of the accepted items, sold items and lack of payments. This has also not received a response.
I am beyond appalled at how this company behaves, particularly as they continue to operate their online store, Marylebone store and make regular social media posts.

Be cautious! I consigned several items, and I am still waiting for payment for over a year. Despite numerous emails, repeated phone calls, and visits to the boutique in person, the matter remains unresolved. I have requested the return of my unsold items, and the store continues to hold onto them without explanation.
The boutique staff have always been pleasant and helpful, and they are not the issue. The problem is the back office, which has shown a serious lack of professionalism and accountability. Withholding payment and property from consignors for this length of time is unacceptable.
I have bought items here and been happy with my purchases, but the consignment side of this business is poorly run, and consignors are not treated fairly. Anyone thinking of consigning here should be very cautious until these issues are addressed.

HUGE SCAM do not sell your items with them. I've been waiting over 4 months for them to pay me for sold items. I'm out over 1000 pounds and no matter how many times I call or email in (over 10 times) they keep saying they'll reach out to the "accounting department" who never answers. I find it so shocking that they can run a company like this- they say there's no way besides email for them to get in touch with their own accounting team... Clearly the accounting team isn't even a real thing because they haven't answered for months..

Very pleased with the rates CSD offered. They gave me a great rate and made the whole experience very straightforward. Definitely happy with my experience!

I dropped off 11 pieces with CSD in May of 2025. I heard nothing from them in over a year until I reached out to find out the status of my items. Admittedly that is a long time but I live overseas and am in London about every other month. They told me that I needed to collect any unsold pieces which I did, only to find that there was only 1 unsold piece and that the other 10 had sold. I did not receive any notice of any of these sales nor the price at which my items were sold. I have been chasing payment since June 2026 and even went into the store to pick up my last piece and enquire about payment. They brushed me off with assurances that they are "escalating" it and chasing up the accounts team. This is a SCAM. DO NOT SELL VIA CSD. This review is just another drop in the ocean of awful reviews from this company. This company is unethical and has no integrity. It continues to accept pieces for consignment while knowingly withholding money from other sellers. STEER WELL CLEAR.

Step 1: Send a 14-Day WarningEmail them titled "Letter Before Action". State what they owe you and give them 14 days to pay. If you did this already, skip to next.

Step 2: Pay the Small Filing Fee. Filing online is cheap (starting at just £35). A complete no-brainer because when you win, the court forces CSD.shop to pay this fee back to you.

Step 3: File Online in 10 Minutes. Go to the official "Gov.uk Money Claims Portal". Enter the CSD STORES LTD address listed above.Paste this into the "Particulars of Claim" box: "The Claimant consigned/ordered goods with the Defendant. The Defendant failed to release funds owed, breaching contract and the Consumer Rights Act 2015. An LBA was sent giving 14 days to resolve, which went unanswered. The Claimant claims the principal sum plus statutory interest under Section 69 of the County Courts Act 1984 at 8% a year." Pay the small fee online.

Step 4: Win by Default (14 Days)The court will mail the lawsuit to their office. They have 14 days to respond. If they ignore the court, log back in on Day 15, click "Request a Judgment," and a judge will instantly rule in your favor without a trial. You can then send bailiffs straight to their Marylebone shop floor to seize luxury stock to recover your cash.

it's been 25 days since i ordered and i have no update on my parcel. poor customer service

I left 5 pairs of designer shoes with them to sell on 8 December 2025. As of today, 19 September 2026, all I know is that the shoes were sold early this year. I have no idea how much they were sold for, how much I am owed, and when or if I will ever receive this.

Every time I've tried to contact them, they say they will expedite to head office urgently and then nothing happens. I don't know whether they have cash flow problems, information management problems, or what. At this point I'm considering that the terms that were offered as part of her agreement have been broken and I am now forced to pursue it within the legal system.

If you are in a similar position, contact the citizens advice consumer helpline. They are very useful in helping understand what terms have been breached and will take it through the small claims courts on your behalf if necessary.

Edit:- They say my account is paid and up to date but it isn't. They haven't sent me any itemised record of what my items sold for and when. All they've done is send me an email asking for my DOB. If i'd known it would be the trust pilot review that would have got them to engage, i'd have sent this months ago!

Please do not ever consign with them. My item sold almost two years ago and completely forgot that I had my item with them. Had absolutely no communication that the item sold and I had to communicate with them in the first place. It’s been over a month I have called and email multiple times and they have barely given a response. I even went in person and was told that I would get paid in the next 2 business days. Still haven’t received my money. I never write reviews in general but this absolutely ridiculous. Still owed the money from an item sold two years ago. It seems like an occurring issue and don’t know how they can still call themselves a”consignment”store.

CSD have had 11 items of mine for 16 months. They ignored over 30 emails (to all their different emails, before they do the usual and claim I sent it to the wrong one), they switch off their customer service line so they cannot be contacted.

They haven't admitted to my sold items on my online profile, and I know for a fact they have sold. I was paid for 4/11 items in October 2025, and since, the other 7 have sold. And they have no admitted to it.
I was finally able to get through to the customer service line today, who blames the accounts team (they always blame someone else!). Not heard from the accounts team yet. The lady on the phone at customer service (not the asian one, the other one) pretended the phone line was breaking up, then proceeded to mute herself for 3 minutes and wait for me to end the call.

I am taking this to small claims court tomorrow and I cannot believe this business is still running. A complete disgrace.

DO NOT GIVE YOUR ITEMS TO CSD!! They have sold all the items I gave them which would be worth thousands and I have been trying to get my money since January 2026. This has caused me the worst stress especially as I gave them my items as I needed the money and thought it would be stress free and easy. They have done this to 2 of my other friends as well. They told me 2 weeks ago I would finally get my money on September 10th 2026 but that day has come and gone without a word or even a response! Although I feel terrible for the customer service team as they can't or don't know anything about it all they can do is email accounts and beg them to reply (which they have done about 50 times for me) which they eventually do but with lies about sorting it all out. AWFUL AWFUL COMPANY WHICH SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN AS THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND LIARS!!!

So disappointing CSD has yet to respond to my emails, emails from the Head Office and emails from the Marleybone Store asking for when I will be paid. My Chanel bag (£5200) sold in February and still no payment despite months of chasing and needing the money.

I trusted CSD based on the stores great customer service. A mistake I will always regret trusting them with selling something I valued greatly but needed to sell due to financial reasons.

Asking CSD again to make this right and pay what is owed immediately.

My item was sold over 2 months ago and I've been chasing up my payment ever since. Communication is non-existent, and when I do hear anything it's simply "we're chasing this up with accounting". I feel I've been robbed and am now pursuing legal action. Do not sell with this business as it's a scam.
