Very smooth, easy process. Daniel explained things clearly and answered all of my questions without seeming patronising or dismissive. The surgery was much faster and less invasive than expected. Recovery was a little longer but I've been left with perfect eyesight, which has genuinely changed my life. 10/10 would recommend everyone does this.

I went to Dr Gore for bilateral TransPRK surgery. Moorfields was recommended to me by a number of people, but specifically Dr Gore. I had such an easy experience from start to finish. Dr Gore's PA, Shaima Patel was very professional and quick at communicating with me. Shaima booked in all my appointments and answered any questions I had. Dr Gore gave me good and honest advice and made me feel at ease. My surgery was very quick and the aftercare was amazing. I knew exactly what to expect and felt in safe hands. I have had fantastic results from my surgery. I've gone from -6 in both eyes to better than 20/20 vision. It's the best money I've ever spent and has honestly been life changing. I'm so glad I made the decision to have my surgery with Moorfields.

I booked the consultation as a last resort, as I didn't think there was anything that could be done as I had very dry eyes, I couldn't tolerate contact lenses at all and I had a high myopia (-8 or so with a mild stigmatism). I was pleasantly surprised to hear that I would be a good candidate for ICL (implantable contact lens) surgery & did some research before proceeding with the operation a few months later.

Dan & his team have been really helpful every step of the way. I needed to have some extra checks as I hadn't completed one of the eye tests properly & then the operation took place shortly after that. Dan and the surgery team were very professional and friendly; they completely put me at ease and answered all my questions. The surgery itself was nowhere near as scary as I thought it would be. Afterwards I initially could feel the ICLs in both eyes (I had them done at the same time), it feels like you have a contact lens in your eye and then that feeling gradually fades as the eye heals. In the days afterwards I found my left eye was struggling with dryness from the various medicated drops & Dan was available for me to speak to and he recommended normal hydrating drops in-between the medicated drops. I followed his advice and by the time of my follow up appointment, both eyes felt good and the vision was excellent. Since then my eyes feel even better!

Shaima was really helpful too liaising with Dan & dealing with all the appointment and admin queries, she also put me in touch with a third party loan company so I could spread the cost of the treatment. This has been a big help for me and meant I could proceed straight away after my initial consultation appointment and eye health check ups instead of saving up the money first.

I did lots of research and came to the conclusion that I should proceed, nothing is without risk. For me, this has been genuinely life changing - I feel more confident and I'm happier in myself. I am so glad that I went ahead.

For anyone who cannot tolerate contact lenses, ICL surgery could be a good option!

I had Bilateral Refractive Lens Exchange surgery. The whole experience went smoothly from the first appointment. Mr Gore and Dr Johannesson made me feel very relaxed and the procedure was painless. Twenty four hours later and my distance vision was already amazing. No glasses for driving, computer work, watching tv, reading and will only be getting better in the coming months! Mr Gore and the whole team were very professional and I would highly recommend his services.

I undertook SMILE laser surgery for myopia (-4.5) and slight astigmatism for both eyes with Mr Daniel Gore.
As some tests come back with a non consistent result, I was booked in for further testing before proceeding with the surgery to make sure everything was correct. The surgery itself was extremely smooth and only took 10-15 minutes for both eyes and Mr Gore also went through everything as he was conducting the surgery to make sure I was at ease throughout.
I had almost no discomfort post surgery recommend would 100% recommend SMILE, Moorfields and especially Mr Gore, his team and Shaima, who were all very open to also answering questions and queries by email between appointments.

Very professional service, initial consultation resulted in recommendation that I revisit contact lenses rather than undergoing the surgical procedure. Decided it was better to go forward with the procedure a year later, a great decision, very happy with the results, no more glasses.
