Didn't have any small tankers functional but still took my order online and then promised a second delivery date by phone that they should have known they couldn't fulfil. Eventually came clean, but way too late. Had to order express delivery from another supplier at extra cost. Technical problems with tankers is one thing, but not being upfront about it is quite another

Something is very wrong at Darch Oil Services. The trusted reliable service is no longer there. Not meeting delivery dates. 12 days since my order placed. Now run out of oil. Have received oil but now have extra costs for plumber to clear air lock on the boiler and an engineer to clear air lock in the rayburn! An expensive delivery.

Reasonably straightforward to order and responsive and helpful in respect of email questions. In the past very pleasant over the phone too.
However it would have been good to have been warned in advance that the delivery was not going to take place by the date mentioned on the order. Once delivered very efficient communication.

Used Darch for years, will be looking for another supplier. Can’t stand companies who take your money up front, give you a date (“within 10 days”) and then miss it…with no warning and no apology. When we finally got through to the office we were told somebody would call back with an updated delivery time, they never did. Delivery eventually turned up on day 14. They’re happy to flood my inbox with marketing telling me I’m part of the Darch oil family but when problems arise they’re quiet as a mouse. I understand there may have been problems behind the scenes, that’s life, but to give no warning or apology is inexcusable.

Heating oil arrived in perfect time. The quantity we asked for arrived when arranged, and the delivery was done first thing in the morning - we didn't even know they had been. Easy and efficient - and a good price.

Easy to order. Alas the expected delivery was a few days late but they made sure we didn't run out.

I am a long time customer with Darch Oil and I can only express my disappointment with my recent order which I still have not received!
I ordered my oil ten days ago (6th Jan) and asked could I pay for next day delivery as was quoted on the website to which I was informed that it was not available and I was told that the delivery would not be scheduled until the 15th Jan. I rang this morning to confirm that my delivery would be coming today to be told that they had no idea when it would be delivered despite being promised and was given a litany of excuses, bad weather, no drivers etc etc. This is just not good enough for a company such as this, we have had to turn our heating off now as a result of running low on oil. We are both pensioners in out seventies and now have no heating or hot water .

Ordered and delivered on time, staff friendly, helpful and polite.

Ordered about 2 weeks in advance. They confirmed delivery would be between the 11th and 17th December. Phone call on 17th to say it would be the 18th. 18h, a text to say the 19th. 19th, a text to say the 20th. By 4:40pm n the 20th, no delivery and a very, very close to empty tank in cold weather! Phoned Yeovil, was diverted to some Midlands branch (phone lines probably busy with other people constantly let down). Was told on the phone it "should be on the 22nd, I can't promise anything, but we'll do our best for you|" So bloody annoying! This always happens with Darch - they set the date then cannot stick to it! I cancelled as I urgently needed heating oil and found another provider who came the following morning.

The team was incredibly supportive and ensured that the oil arrived promptly.

All round I was satisfied with the service, couldn't pay by the website but was called a day or 2 later via phone and paid, however this did result in a reset of delivery date.
