I recently returned from my first holiday abroad after years of caring for my husband who is completely disabled with secondary progressive MS. Leaving him for the first time was a big step for us to take as we’ve never before engaged a ‘stranger’ to look after him. Family members have helped out but only for a few days here & there. All her reviews had been excellent. A few days before she was booked to start she came to meet us & stayed for a couple of hours ensuring she obtained all the information she needed in advance. She was very smart, friendly, positive & easy to chat to. Meeting her enabled me to go away confident & happy that he was in very capable & experienced hands.

Delighted to say that he was more than happy with Michelle who provided absolutely faultless care. Nothing fazed her where Howard’s personal care was concerned. She handled the overnight requirements no problem at all. Was immediately confident with the hoists & other equipment. Very experienced & highly capable. She’s a great cook & they ate together. She proved interesting company.

The kitchen was left spotless. She even stripped the bedding she’d used; washed, dried & ironed it & remade the bed before she left - absolutely outstanding. We’re 100% happy to recommend her.

Elder has been great in assisting us to find Live-in Care quickly for our elderly mother. Friendly and efficient on the telephone and with a really slick operating platform. And this is what Elder is - a quick, friendly and efficient way for people in need of help to link up with Carers across the UK with full CV details and exceedingly helpful short videos.

With a recent change to the care for our father Elder organised 2 very good carers to look after him. Both settled into the routine established in the house very well putting our father at ease and reducing his anxiety issues.

Elder were very helpful and attentive in assessing our requirements to care for our mother on her discharge after five weeks in hospital. A suitable carer was quickly identified to provide 24/7 care and could start imminently to mother coming home. This proved invaluable in alleviating our worries and concerns as Mum had always coped admirably living alone in her own home and she quickly became more confident and mobile in caring for herself once again.

They were extremely helpful and understanding when I was unable to give them an exact time when my husband was being discharged from hospital. Due to the delay in the discharge, the carer was not required until a day after the original date booked. They just changed the date and alerted the carer accordingly. No fuss, no hassle and very polite and caring.

From the start Elder kept in touch with me about my requirements for a carer following my hip replacement, I was able to choose from a small selection of carers in my area or who were willing to travel and then I was able to speak to the carer before she arrived which was very reassuring. All arrangements ran smoothly. My booking was only for a week but I was impressed by this company

Excellent support in setting up a new account and finding a carer. The carer was great and did a fantastic job. Also a follow up call after the care to check all was satisfactory.

Elder Care has provided carers to work in a remote location for six months so far, which has allowed an elderly friend to return to living in her own home where her quality of life is much better, rather than staying in a care home where she felt trapped.

We are just coming to the end of our time with Elder and I must say that as a family our experience has been very good. All pricing was agreed and worked out for us prior to starting. The carer we asked for was Felicia. We chose her because of her experience in the nursing profession.
She was such a lovely person with a very positive and upbeat attitude. We are sorry to see her go. But mums needs are changing. So we must move on. Thank you very much for all you did for us.

Very caring company, all the admin staff are so helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The two carers we have had so far have both been a perfect match for my parents needs and are very good at their job. They show patience, compassion and have a very good knowledge of how to deal with all situations. Thanks Elder.

I was really impressed with my experience with Elder. They were super helpful on the phone initially when I was finding out about the service. They guided me through it without being pushy. It was very easy to use the online system and we managed to find a fantastic carer with only 2.5 weeks notice. Our live-in carer was brilliant, a total professional who we both liked and trusted. I'd definitely use Elder again.

Communication was excellent: a named contact kept in touch with me to ensure that any issues were dealt with promptly and professionally. Elder found a suitably experienced professional lady who was a perfect match as a live-in carer for my 96-year-old aunt, to enable her to continue living in her own home after a stroke.

Elder is an excellent organisation. Most importantly, they are really pleasant and efficient, and they have some outstanding carers. We couldn't have been happier with the one we used. We were so pleased to have used them when we went on holiday and needed someone to take care of my mum, who lives with us. I couldn't believe what a seamless experience it was. Thank you, Elder!

Don’t use this company, their workers are not properly checked. Some may be good but the woman they sent me did nothing!
When I came out of hospital I needed help day and at night. I was not at all well and the company I normally use were unable to cover night care so family got carer from Elder. Foolishly, because I was unwell I did not ask to see her qualifications and I wonder whether Elder recruit just anyone who applies without any checks. My daughter collected her from the station to save her walking up the hill. I asked her to collect prescription from pharmacy, a 10 minute walk. On her return she was so exhausted she said she had to rest for the rest of the day and did nothing to help me. I managed to get to bed but when I called for help in the night she never came.
When I wanted to get up in the morning, she never came! After managing a brief wash she never emptied the wash basin. Next day she said she was tired and lay on her bed all day and again was not available to help me at night. And again in the morning she did not come when I called!daughter then took her back to station as she was not available help what so ever!

We have been consistently impressed with the quality of service and support provided by Elder. From the very start, their team has been professional, responsive, and genuinely committed to ensuring that our family received the care we needed.

Communication was always clear and timely, and any queries or concerns were addressed quickly and with real understanding. The process of arranging care was straightforward and well organised, which made what could have been a stressful time feel much more manageable.

The carers provided through Elder were excellent — compassionate, skilled, and dedicated to maintaining my father’s comfort and dignity at all times. It was clear that Elder takes great care in selecting professionals who genuinely care about the people they support.

Overall, our experience has been overwhelmingly positive. I would wholeheartedly recommend Elder to anyone looking for high-quality, reliable, and compassionate care for their loved ones.

Right from the start I was impressed with how the company worked, how the carers were selected and the level of information available. The flexibility of the contract too was important.
The fact that we could chat with a potential carer was brilliant, even better than watching the video, though that was fantastic too.
The speed at which everything could be set up was impressive too. The level of support has been just right - there if needed, but not intrusive.
The carer was everything expected and more. The weekly rate is extremely competitive with no hidden extras.

While our Carer continues to provide a wonderful service, Elder Care continues to withhold money that they have fully admitted they debited my father's account in error. No date has been confirmed for the return of this money. Yes, Elder have great carers, the admin staff are helpful and supportive, however when an error occurs Elder has proven very slow to right the wrong. They are quick to take money but continue delaying it's return.
