Very helpful in reducing time taken on each project

My review on their Facebook page was twice removed as it was critical after evaluating their software. It also appears I was kicked from their FB group for being open and honest in my experiences.
So, we're now on Trustpilot. If they take this down, it just gets reposted. Usually happens when negative experiences are published on a website like this.
Negative reviews get removed? Not very nice is it?
It came to my attention that when trying out the software, there were several holes in the performance and settings, and privacy policy.
The processing was slow, and not utilising more than 10% of the CPU, and nothing of the GPU. An i5-13600k and RTX3080.

It also renders very very slowly when scanning the images. PhotoMechanic is able to exploit the JPG+RAW combined, using the system resources effectively and efficiently. Threading doesn't appear to be optimised in any way.
Settings were basic at best, there was nothing to control how things worked, tuning, what one would expect on AI software.
In comparison to the last issue, based around the privacy policy, processing of the images and GDPR.
I found nothing in the software that refers to off-site processing, geographic location of off-site processing, encryption of personal data, salting of personally identifiable data, how datasets or statistical analysis is done for off-site processing, where databases were aggregated or models stored, GDPR governance and oversight, and indeed nothing even suggesting this is done offsite.
I learned that it was done offsite, in a nebulous reply from Aayush
However, the 'privacy' link URL I was given, is again nebulous.
Considering the personal data and personally identifiable data, biometric data, etc contained in photographs from professional photographers, the end-users of this software, it's fundamentally not ready for market in my opinion.
Touted as a replacement for PhotoMechanic, it most certainly is not. Apparently doing a cull on 2700 images saved me 8 hours, well, frankly, this is nonsense, I can cull in a quarter of that time, at worst.
It's half-baked software, and most definitely still in Beta.
I'm a Chartered Journalist and have current legal training in media law, as well as being a photojournalist.
I also build computers and have been supporting photographers as a service for more than 10 years, including software training and support in hardware.
It's simply not able to fully exploit hardware, unnecessarily reliant on backend processing where it can be done locally, without the headaches of data custody and off-site processing, introducing many regulatory and compliance issues in whatever locale the user is in.
If you want to compare equivalent, look at TopazAI or any of their products, the AI engine utilises local resources, not remote. This totally mitigaes any GDPR issues and compliance etc.
As soon as I became aware I immediately uninstalled and mandated a erasure/purge from the Company.
It's simply not ready for a commercial release, and I would not be happy as a professional user risking my data policies for unknown storage locations, policies, and a heap of other things.

Big time saver! Definitely helps with culling lots of images quickly!!

Talk about a time saver! I am a notorious over shooter. I rather have plenty than not enough. But that means even my mini sessions have way too many photos to go through. As much as I love editing, culling takes me the longest. Having to check each one, each similar photo to see which the focus was better, it takes me hours. With FP the AI does it for me! It can really tell which photos are the best of the best. Using FP still gives you full control on the images, it will show you which ones were/were not picked so you can adjust if needed. I love that I don’t loose my control using AI.

I love this app! It streamlines my workload so well as a freelance photographer, allowing me to plug my SD card into my computer, open FP, give my latest project and let it do its thing. It filters out any out of focus, blinking, and otherwise unusable photos so i can focus on looking through the good ones. It even keeps a running count of how much time it has saved me culling photos, however I don't know how accurate it is. My only problems with it are that remains in windowed mode, constantly showing the taskbar, taking up valuable screen space. My only other problem is that when culling photos one by one, using the arrow keys and looking closely at each photo, the time it takes to load the next photo is just enough to be annoying (2-3 seconds). Keep in mind that I'm using this with RAW photos which do take a bit longer to load.

After using this tool for some time I feel I've got my life back. The flawless experience was with how it worked through my work.. Did what I'd do in multiple hours and in a matter of minutes... While I spent the time to make coffee and prepare for the editing part

The customer support is amazing and I can see them growing to new amazing levels as a product /company

Customer service was tremendous and the chat was exceptionally easy to use.

It works great especially for weddings! The AI features are advance and it saved me hours of culling which usually takes up 70% of my routine in editing wedding photos!

I am so excited that this photo culler picks certain photos out from the others based on quality! It will save me so much time sorting them myself. Thank you, Filter Pixel!

I cannot believe how quickly I was able to adopt FilterPixel into my workflow and how much time it has saved for me.

I trust this program completely to do an efficient cull for me, saving me time and allowing me to work on other, more valuable tasks.

More importantly, I'm not glued to my screen for hours at a time. Highly recommend.

This software has saved me so much time! I had 3500 photos to edit from a super busy weekend of photoshoots and within an hour, FilterPixel allowed me to finish all my editing that same day.

FilterPixel has improved my workflow more than I ever imagined it would. I have used culling programs before, but this one works really well and is really fast. It says something like, "We saved you x minutes" but really, they saved me A LOT more time than that.

I culled and edited an entire wedding in just 3 hours last week. YES!

First time using a culling software. I have been presented with many other culling programs while attending photography conventions, but the feature set of FilterPixel intrigued me the most. I am so glad I decided to try it. IT IS AWESOME and so easy to use. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

I absolutely LOVE FilterPixel! I've been using their software for about 6 months now. I've been in a beta group testing out new features, and I can tell you from experience that the developers LISTEN to their customers. When I (and other users) provide feedback, I actually see in the changes they make with every update. This culling software is hands down the best I've used. The user interface is intuitive and the customer service is the best I've experienced, with any business, ever. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could.

Inconsistent. It misses out on many great photos. It will pick images with eyes closed very, very often. The edits are wrong in 90% of cases. I tried it on many thousands of photos and can honestly say I cannot recommend this software at all!
Even the time it saved resulted in a decrease in overall quality.

I tried numerous programs for culling my photography images and settled on FilterPixel for a variety of reasons. First of all, I really appreciated the free demo use of this software in full functionality mode as it gave me a really good feel for what I was buying up front.
Secondly, I really enjoy the flexibility of its ratings system of my photographs and has allowed me to select the best pictures with just a few clicks.
To date it has saved me days that I would have otherwise spent in front of my computer culling these images manually.
I couldn't be happier with this software and am very excited about the upcoming improvements.
