Ordered food items one afternoon, package arrived early the next day. This was 2 day's before Xmas. Competitive prices on pantry items. Very happy.

I ordered a book on the 7th of November thinking this is plenty of time before christmas and estimated arrival was inly a few weeks…. It arrived on the 1st of January. So i couldn't give a physical xmas gift. I then ordered another book stupidly on the 20th of December and i leave the country at the end of January and what do you know it hadnt even been shipped by the end of jan so i asked for a refund. Its ridiculous how long these things take to arrive but worse when they lead you on with estimated arrivals

If l’m looking for a book or a calendar Fishpond is my place to go.
Very happy with the service provided and the selection, also the prices appear to be reasonable.
We get great pleasure from the 365 pages a day dog calendar which l have been ordering for several years now.
I also purchase one for my sister every year as well. Thank you Fishpond because l can’t get this calendar anywhere else, it’s a daily dose of happiness for us.

Fishpond asked me if I wanted to sell a book I had bought from them. I thought why not. I had read the book so I agreed.

They come back to me saying they had a buyer and provided me with the buyers address and fairly comprehensive instructions on what I needed to do to complete the sale. I followed these instructions to the letter. Sent the book off after paying g $9.40 up front.

NZ Post come back to me saying g there is no such address. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO SPEAK TO FISHPOND ON THE PHONE!

They come back to me and say they dont know what I’m talking about and how can they help me today. I send them their own email outlining what I should do because they had sold the book on my behalf.

Then they tell have the audacity to tell me I need to follow up with their buyer. I tell them I emailed her when I sent the book - no reply - and when NZ Post contacted me to say there was no such address so I emailed her again - no reply.

Now I am being told by Fiahpond that I am not being fair blaming it on them that I have the book if it is returned and basically tough luck about the nearly $10 I am out of pocket “it is part of doing business”.

This company is an utter disgrace.
Their customer service is the worst I have encountered in NZ.

I have bought 3/4 puzzles from your company recently and am extremely satisfied with them. The designs are very contemporary, the colours are beautiful and the quality is excellent. I use puzzles to keep my mind sharp and enjoy myself at the same time. I will certainly purchase more from you in future.

I bought a book from a store and it was the first book in a series, when I went back to the store I was told it was not possible for them to order any more in the series because there from the UK. Fishpond was the only company that I was able to get the whole series from. It took a bit longer than normal but they kept me up to date the entire time. Thankyou Fishpond.

This company is not transparent. I ordered two books because I found they were cheaper than elsewhere. I paid. I reviewed my order and found I was paying over $20 more than the price stated on the website. Each book now had a “processing price”. This was not at all apparent when I ordered. I cancelled the order 8 hours later and although they will refund, I’ve been charged a $16 cancellation fee. The order had not even been processed. Unethical operating practices - misleading pricing and spurious charges.

It took about two weeks for them to inform me that they couldn’t source the books I wanted. Such a waste of time.

I have ordered lots of books and found that I was kept informed every step of the way. Delivery was always within the time frame given.

Great price for a large expensive hardback book. Exceptionally well packed. Reassuring people in customer service. Arrived very quickly in perfect condition.

I always have had a good experience shopping on fishpond. Definitely will again.

I orded and paid for a book at the start of the month. 18 days later,
"I followed up requesting a timeframe". That was when I was informed it was not going to arive.

The book was a gift for the end of the month, thinking I had loads of time. I pushed three times to get it sent ASAP, the responses were vague said well it needs to be orded again. I had paid, but they wanted me to order again starting it '"might be another 18 days". I said it was a present and need it ASAP but there was no difference.

I am still awaiting my refund 3 days later.

Terrible.
Ordered a book and received a delivery date. When the book didn't arrive I contacted fishpond and was told it was a supply issue and that I would have to wait another two weeks to see if it
might turn up from their overseas supplier or I could just get a refund.
When I asked how they can get away with advertising products they can't deliver I received no reply.
Utterly useless. Think long and hard before any purchase from fishpond. You may well get what you ordered or you may have to settle for a refund months later.
Not impressed.

I will never buy any book from Fishpond. They are absolute losers.
On 28 August 2025 I ordered Hidden wisdom from Tim W Murphy. Fishpond advised me that it will arrive between 30 September and 7 October. I have waited passionately till 7th October and as I didn't receive the book I sent an email to Fishpond. They replied that the book was not available and told me to apply for refund. At least I have got my money back.
NEVER AGAIN!!!

5 weeks later my book has not arrived. Is Fishpond a scam? Never buying from them again!!

Having some fun with Fishpond this month. I was browsing through the secondhand books that they have on offer and I spotted what I thought was a really good deal, a recent hardback for $15 in great condition. So I placed my order and paid my money and was informed the next day that the book was in their warehouse and "would be sent in one business day."
Few days after, I got a message saying "Good news! Your book has been sent from our US department." Bit of a shock, but I thought that maybe the secondhand book was not available and Fishpond were trying to put things right. Good on them, I thought. Especially as they sent me a link to the tracking number with Aramex.
20 days later, that link has remained unchanged, asking me to "wait a few hours for the system to update."
20 days.
Fingers crossed, but it looks like I will be cancelling my order at the end of the month, and moving on to another book supplier. Shame really.

Do not use this company if you want to receive your Book any time soon. I ordered a book around 21st July 2025 - birthday present for 2nd Sept. 1st week of August I checked progress - Fishpond had not received payment. No email to confirm still pending - nothing. Payment received 6th August. Heard nothing. 28th August checked on order - got this...'Your item was sourced from AU fulfillment centre; we haven't received it in Auck yet.' We can reorder but shipping may take 10-20 days.
I responded 'I need book - in 10days.' Nothing. 18 days later I get email - 'its on its way'...Arrived 16th Sept, 6 weeks after I paid. Too late for the birthday. NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!
