Very lovely staff, surprisingly fun… Great music
This place is made by the good quality rollerskates, excellent music and most of all really really lovely staff. I didn't even think I liked rollerskating and now I know I love it... had no idea how to roll, and someone patiently taught me from the staff… Everyone just Great, 1 million times nicer than iceskating
Flipper has left a Financial Mess and us several hundred pounds out of pocket
We have the same problems as the other reviewers. Flipper and their private equity company that owns them should be ashamed of their lack of professional conduct and web of financial mess they have left their customers in.
We had energy with Green. We were told when they went bust by Flipper not to cancel our direct debit. Flipper moved us to Avro. They went bust weeks later and 2 monthly direct debits were taken by both energy providers. We are in a real mess trying to get our money back - the mess that Flipper created and made oh so much worse but setting up flipper email addresses for us that mean we can’t access accounts. We contacted Flipper before they went bust and asked for a change of email address. It wasn’t actioned, and Flipper’s website has closed. Green is non contactable and Shell have completely failed in their duty to treat customers fairly and provide any form of customer contact (despite every avenue to try and get someone to speak to us).
Hundreds of pounds is sitting in Shell or Green Energy’s account and our energy broker (Flipper) who has a level of accountability completely shut down.
Flipper - it is one thing to wind up but another thing to be professional and not leave your customers with such a financial mess which you have every opportunity to resolve
And like a flash of smoke......they were gone!
As with others, Flipper left me stranded between two suppliers. In one week during September 2021, Green (being flipped from), Avro (being flipped to) and Flipper all went under.
I was £270+ in credit with Green, which has not been refunded from Green, or 'Shell' who were appointed by the regulator. NB Shell claim that the money hasn't been issued to them by the administrators (quelle surprise). Avro weren't officially my supplier as the flip hadn't completed, yet 2 days after they went bust took £186 direct debit from me (not to be refunded), and have on this day, issued a bill via their administrators for £97.79 for an account that they weren't fully responsible for.
I wish Flipper had stayed in business to help resolve the mess caused by the UK's failure to invest in nuclear. But, as is usual these days, the money is well received when the going is good, but at the moment trouble surfaces, they vanished.
A good service while it lasted, and no help when it all went pear shaped.
One hopes that those involved in Flipper will get their comeuppance, but it's more likely that my small subscription to their service is currently paying for a thread or two upon the duvet covers on their yacht in Monaco.
Live it up Flipper directors......you'll get yours for sure, the universe doesn't forget.

Such a shame they are closing. Been with them for year's. Even with them closing they keep me up to date and informed. Very polite and professional on the phone and quick to respond to emails. Hopefully they will return.

Excellent service. Sad to see Flipper fold. Sad also to see the alternative energy supplies go under. I followed the Flipper Dashboard details to access my supplier account (Green). Good communication from Flipper, Shell now in touch to take on the account and Flipper have already refunded the remainder of my annual fee. Sterling customer service in difficult times. Thank you.

Can't log into my Green energy account because the email address/id created by flipper isn't a real email address. All Green do is say we've sent you an email which never arrives. :(

So upset at this news. Flipper have been amazing for me for 6 years, and I don't think there's another service anywhere near as good which I can use instead. I hope there is a way for Flipper to get back up and running again at some point in the future. Such a loss!

Fixed or flexible contracts?
When signing up with an energy supplier there are fixed term rates for a set period, eg a year, which can be particularly attractive. Bearing this in mind does flipper still get best deals as it does not seem to go for fixed periods?

Flipper's customer service are ex utility company staff and are absolutely brilliant. They know all the ins and outs of the game and because they work for the client are on your side, so save you worry when the famed poor customer service issues with the utility firms come to pass. I’ll never use a free service again!!!

So far I have to say disappointing
So far I have to say disappointing. There was lots of miscommunication on first flip - that it had been cancelled then no it hadn’t, repeat requests for meter readings.. response to my email was very slow and I had to chase. I was expecting quicker comms from a digital company. on the day the switch completed the tariff then rocketed ( extra £500 per year than first estimate). I’ll give it a few months but so far I wish I had just stayed with my original supplier.

I truly recommend Flipper
It has been 4 years since I switched to Flipper, mostly because I was new in the UK and didn't understand local rules, I also just had better things to do than keep monitoring energy prices on the market ;) And it was a great decision. They keep 'flipping' my suppliers whenever something cheaper appears on the market and - comparing to my friends - I still have the cheapest or one of the cheapest energy suppliers without any hassle.
Did I mention that they have a great customer service too ? I really, truly recommend this service.

Sort yourselves out Flipper
I was happy with Flipper for some time but recently I have become mystified by what they are up to. I was with Avro and they flipped me to Green in May/June of this year. Avro took 8 weeks to issue a final bill, two weeks longer than Ofgem allow and we are waiting for the £30 penalty they owe me. I also ended up paying two energy bills in two months because that's what Ofgem allow. Now they've sent me a mail saying that they have flipped me back to Avro (who still owe me money) quoting numbers which bear no relationship to what I'm actually paying. The new monthly estimate with Avro would be £20 more than I'm paying Green. They tell me to pay no attention to the numbers in their email because they are "computer generated"although they know what I'm paying. I told them to forget about it and do this myself in future.

Very impressed - particulary today after a call (yes a real person - Michelle I think - calling me proactively! Not me on hold trying to speak to someone), with advice on my situation - renovating a property, needing a new meter - unresponsive supplier.
