I has some guitars and basses with various issues, from wiring and neck adjustments, to action and intonation issues. Steve had a look for me and we walked through the issues and what I wanted done, we agreed that the setup on one of my guitars was fine but I left him the others to work through and within a week I had a report showing his findings and the repairs he had made. I am very happy with the work, he has fixed all the major issues and set the guitars up just as we discussed. Next time I have guitar issues, or pick up something new or used, I will get him to have a look for me.

Very happy with the maintenance and detailing of my old guitar. Noticeably easier to play and looks great. I found Steve to be very knowledgeable and helpful to answer any questions. Friendly, efficient, reliable and would highly recommend.

Forestwood Instruments did an amazing job servicing my acoustic guitar, he outlined clearly after inspecting the guitar what work he thought was required. I couldn't be happier with the results, he reshaped the frets, cleaned the fretboard and body, restrung and set the action so it plays beautifully. Thank you, I highly recommend, the service was fast and efficient, my instrument was ready for pick up at the time suggested.

I found Forestwood online. They did a fantastic job of restringing my steel string acoustic guitar and doing some other minor repairs. They provided a fast service, communicated throughout the process and Steve was very personable, friendly and it was clear he truly has a love for guitars. Steve’s worked on a well used Heritage H-150 and a Schecter Omen 6 for me. His communication and speed are excellent, I had my guitars back and playing within days and was kept informed throughout the process. He did a really nice job fixing a ding under the third fret on the neck of the Heritage, and the rest of both guitars play beautifully now.
I can’t recommended Steve more highly.

Steve has serviced and repaired multiple guitars for me. Both acoustic and electric. I'm continually impressed with his eye for detail and his craftsmanship. You can tell that Steve legitimately loves and appreciates guitars. Personally, I think that's the reason he's so good at what he does.

Steve was such a caring and professional repairer. He took time to listen and understand the issues and then was very clear and honest throughout the repair process. I have a 50 year old Gibson bass that I'm very precious about and Steve was very kind with 'my baby'. Highly recommend!

After not playing guitar for 20 years, but getting the bug to play again I went to a local music shop's repair centre and was unhappy with the quality of service. Steve was recommended to me and I could not be happier. He is really chilled out and happy to answer all my questions and just talk guitars. My guitar is now playing buttery smooth. His prices were extremely fair and he went above and beyond, adding extra free bonus servicing above what was originally quoted when he found other issues with the guitar. Once completed he sent an email report fully detailing the work that he had done. This is old school customer service and I will be coming back.
