Weigh loss prescription - buyer be aware of extra costs

It was easy and quick to get a prescription for birth control and I am very satisfied. Cost was 40$ for 12 month script.

From this great experience I opted to get a prescription for weight loss medication. Everything was good until it was time to renew. You must pay 99$ consultation fee every 2 to 3 months. I find this excessive considering the dose will change depending on side effects and progress.
The cost should be more transparent on their website.

Keep you captive

The company is doing everything to prevent the transfer of my prescription to my local pharmacist. They are not giving me the rebate that I should havé from my Wegovy card, and are charging almost 15% more than my pharmacist.

To clarify, we absolutely support prescription transfers to any local pharmacy of your choice, and we also provide direct billing when applicable. We never block or delay transfers — our team processes them as soon as the request comes in. We’re very sorry if this wasn’t clear or if it felt like we were preventing the process in any way.

Regarding your Wegovy savings card, we can apply eligible rebates when the medication meets the program’s criteria. We’d be happy to review your file to make sure everything was handled correctly.

The notices to renew prescriptions are…

The notices to renew prescriptions are confusing to follow. It is difficult to decipher what needs to be completed versus what is optional. Then, when you complete the required steps, you receive a text message asking to complete the questions once again.

they'll charge you for stuff without your consent or notifying you. I had no idea that they were going to charge me $100 for the "consultation" which was just a few online messages. They're a bunch of online thieves.

Poor follow up

While the interaction with a health care provider is good, the follow up is abysmal. You have to pay $99 up front, then wait 2 or more days (right now I'm at three full days, no response) to hear anything.

When I had a question only a few weeks into using the medication, I also had to pay the full consultation fee for just a quick inquiry. Not the same as a relationship with a primary physician.

UPDATE: it took three days but I did hear back and the PA was excellent. If you are in a rush, not a good option. If you are not, the providers are good.

Your note about timing is very helpful — we’re actively working to reduce wait times and improve follow-up responsiveness, especially during busier periods, so patients aren’t left waiting when they need guidance.
