I have always found Fountain Softeners to be very pleasant and reliable to deal with and have been using them for I think now probably twenty years. Friendly, professional and helpful with a good customer service ethos. Recommended.

James was very helpful when I asked advise about choosing an item for my filter system.

The water softener arrived promptly and was easy to install and set to work making soft water straight away.

My Coral water softener is faulty. It was leaking softening medium to my pipes blocking toilet valve filter and washing machine.
I've disconnected the water softener and tried to get the company to collect water softener. No chance to get to someone past the reception.
The receptionist picks up the call, tells you that someone will call you back and nobody does. After numerous calls all you get is "everyone is busy, they will call you back".
After bad review I was contacted by them. They told me that they will send me new water softener. New water softener didn't arrive.

I recently experienced a breakdown of my water softener, and I must say, the customer service I received from James in Technical Services was nothing short of exceptional.
James took the time to explain the issue in detail and provided a clear and concise solution.
Water softeners typically last around 12 years, though they can exceed this lifespan—my previous one lasted 15 years. The unit I bought from Fountain Softeners is now 10 years old. What truly impressed me was the cost-effective advice I received: instead of being pushed to buy a new machine, I was advised to replace the parts for approximately £100.
Throughout the entire process, the communication was excellent.
My softener is working perfectly now and I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of water softener repairs or a new water softener. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is evident, and they have certainly earned my trust and loyalty. Thank you for turning a stressful situation into a positive experience!

I placed the order, was referred by a friend. I spoke to a friendly sales agent.... placed and paid for the product. That is a where is goes wrong... I email and ask for an update on the delivery date... nothing... I call to try and take to a sales agent... someone will call me back... nothing .... I would rather purchase from company who has customer service... what would happened if you have a product failure?

I bought two Crown/Harvey softeners from Fountain Softeners in August/September 2019 and fitted them to my son's and my houses, as they are excellent softeners at competitive prices. Both have worked without any problems until recently when the one in my house developed a small leak, noticed as the overflow was dripping after we'd been away for a week. I traced the problem to a small drip from a plug in the shuttle valve (with help from a YouTube video on how to dismantle a Harvey softener). I contacted Fountain Softeners and as the softener was still (just) within the 5 year warranty period they supplied a replacement shuttle valve free of charge on the basis of my description of the problem and some photos. They gave me the option of having a go at fitting it myself or getting a Harvey's engineer out to look at it, and so I fitted it myself - though they were happy to call out a Harvey's engineer if I had any problems. The softener is working fine again now. So I'd rate that as excellent customer service.

I have been a customer of this company for nearly 30 years. Their product that I use has been in use all this time with excellent service from them when I have ordered replacement filters for my reverse osmosis water filtration system. If I have asked for advice they have been helpful to my concerns in every way.

Reached out via their chat services to see if they could get an external water softener chassis out to me with 3 day, they confirmed they could so I went ahead and placed the order.

To my delight they managed to get it out the door the same day and arrived the following day via FedEx.

Also followed up in an email to acknowledge the delivery.

I ordered a new Harvey Crown Water Softener which included 9 bags of salt as a free offer. I had some questions to ask and found the Chat line extremely effective to communicate with the sales and technical team. The salt deliver was delayed but that was not a problem as I had some in my stock. It seems that the salt comes from a different supplier, namely Simple Salt so that may explain why some customers have experienced some delays.

Great team with advice and help on purchase of a water softener unit only company to offer a discount because I didn’t need the fitting kit. Price was very competitive and unit came with a good supply of salt free. Overall very pleasant experience and i would do business with them again.

It was easy to order the new water softener and the price was right and included a supply of salt blocks. Fitting equipment was also supplied

Had a Problem With a damaged delivered Softener . It was replaced within 48Hrs and the faulty one collected the following day. James of Fountain Softeners could not of been more apologetic and helpful.

Ordered a water softener Simplex Metered Commercial Water Softeners | 1 inch connections on 6th Feb promised delivery it came 3/4 weeks later, incomplete order. Had to chase them profusely. There didn’t update until we advised always delayed DPD fault never took owner ship.

Let down our big customer, had to pay abortive fee to our client . Never received an apology.

Now trying to raise a compliant and compensation process and no answer just getting ignored.

Contacted the company about a problem I had with my softener assuming I would have to replace it. Without trying to sell me anything I was put through to the technical department who explained exactly what they thought the problem could be. I was even emailed a link to the parts required, instructions and video on how to carry out the repair myself. It was easy, successful and cheap to repair. I was so appreciative to find a genuinely helpful company who actually helped me save money rather than try to line their own pockets! Without a doubt I would recommend!!

I purchased a Harvey water softner from Fountain softners, the service was 100% Delivery was as said and the after service from James was second to none, I would highly recommend purchasing from this company.

This is our second crown softener that we have purchased from Fountain Softeners, the first was in 2009 which lasted around 15 years (they don’t go on forever). The replacement which arrived a week ago is the latest twintec from Harvey Softeners along with 6 packs of block salt, all quoted delivery times were met. This is the best company to purchase the twintec softener from as it comes with a five year warranty for both parts and labour which no one else provides and the price is also considerably cheaper.

A week before xmas my daughter asked what could she do because her Harvey water softener had been leaking causing a high water usage bill and it was consequently isolated. That weekend I determined that the optimal solution in the circumstance was to buy a new ,boxed one from fountain softeners which they undertook to have delivered and did deliver by the Monday. I duly fitted the new softener but post commissioning discovered it was leaking from a not seen by me before on other units, a white plastic add on to the spool valve. The resulting problem was an ever rising brine tank level and water continuously running down the drain which matched the defect on the original softener. Having contacted Fountain they sent a van, changed the unit for another new one from Harveys factory. The new, new unit was fitted after dinner on Xmas day and commissioned by my son in law a few days later. In respect of this transaction I had an excellent fast efficient service from Fountain Softeners. Unfortunately Harvey Softeners appear to have ‘improved’ their design by the addition of a white plastic manifold on the side of the spool valve and it appears that may have caused these two failures.

If only you responded to your customers as quick as you reply to a bad review on here, I would still have my customer! This was the first time this customer used my services, due to the fact that your team took weeks to return a phone call or respond to an email, the customer thought I was taking the mick and lost confidence/trust in me. I was told I would be given a refund but as usual it took 6 weeks to receive! Unlike your company I issued the full refund straight away for the tap and my services, losing out financially. After chasing you daily, 6 weeks later I got a refund to find it was only partial. How can you have the audacity not to give me a refund for the tap and the filter, that I bought as a package - an embarrassing service.

I've had my water softener from Fountain for several years. I could always count on the firms support when I had minor issues with my equipment. I have now bought a new water softener as James was always helpful and assisted with any queries in a professional manner. It is a true pleasure to support this business time and time again.
