A disgraceful service. They take the money out of your account without any auto renew Information. When you ring up to cancel the cancel option just rings and rings. The renewal option they also don't answer and just says call back. This is the worst insurance renewal practise and service I have clever come across. Please do not make the same mistake as me by using them. I hate to think how poor if you had a claim!
Update. I eventually got through and they say they will refund which we await. I stand by the review and warn others. They say you can cancel online but this is not correct, chat bot has no supervision and you cannot remove your card details. Direct Line was cheaper and more reputable should anyone read this.

My Superscript Nightmare
I rarely write reviews. But after months of frustration, false hope, and being treated with absolute disregard, I feel morally compelled to share my experience with Superscript, so that no serious entrepreneur wastes as much time as I did.
Timeline of Failure
I first reached out to Superscript in April 2025. My business was ready, my documentation complete, and I had a very straightforward request: I needed a commercial insurance policy for a modern, e-commerce-based company with a legally compliant NDA.
That’s it. Nothing unreasonable. No exotic requests. Just proper paperwork and mutual respect.
What followed was three months of complete and utter chaos.
1. No Response Until I Publicly Complained
After multiple unanswered requests, I had to post a negative review just to get their attention. That’s not how professional businesses operate, that’s how you drive customers away.
Only after that review did someone from Superscript finally reach out. This was already weeks lost, and they hadn’t even begun to review my documentation.
2. The NDA Saga
I provided a legally sound, EU eIDAS-compliant NDA tailored to the nature of my business. I even filled in every field for them, all they had to do was sign it.
Instead:
• They insisted on using DocuSign, which they didn’t know how to configure properly.
• The first time they signed it, it worked fine, except that they flattened the document, rendering it useless for future use and making it impossible to sign digitally.
• Then, they changed something internally. The signature fields shifted, the document broke.
• I explained this in detail. I even provided direct links to DocuSign’s own documentation.
• I suggested: just open the PDF in Adobe or Foxit and sign it directly. No compliance issues, no software glitches. Simple.
• Did they try this? No.
• Did they contact DocuSign support? No.
• Did they provide an alternative? Besides signing their basic NDA … No.
Their solution? “Maybe you should try another provider.”
3. Disrespect for Mutual Compliance
I never demanded they abandon their process. I explicitly said they could keep using DocuSign, as long as they also signed my copy in the proper way. Dual documentation. Completely normal in international commerce.
I even helped them. I revised, simplified, clarified. I spent weeks adjusting to their feedback, offering compromises.
They gave me nothing in return.
No timeline. No clarity. No initiative.
They acted like doing their job was a favour to me.
4. The Disappearing Act
The last contact I had was on July 23rd. They managed to sign my NDA with DocuSign and flatten the whole document, so all interactive parts were disabled and the only way for me to sign it was with a pen instead of digitally according to eIDAS legislation.
So now I’m supposed to believe that Superscript is serious about doing business with modern, future-facing companies?
Give me a break.
The Reality
Superscript markets itself as flexible, tech-savvy, and startup-friendly.
In practice, they’re just another slow, bureaucratic, visionless company that:
• Doesn’t understand digital law
• Doesn’t respect entrepreneurs’ time
• Can’t configure their own signature tool
• And abandons customers when things get slightly complicated
Their handling of this case wasn't just sloppy, it was professionally negligent. They blocked the start of my business by dragging a simple signature process across three months.
Final Thought
If you run an e-commerce company, tech startup, or any kind of digital-native business:
Stay far away from Superscript.
They’re not equipped for 21st-century clients.
They’re not willing to learn.
And they most certainly won’t fight for you when it matters.
Superscript didn’t just lose my business, they lost my trust, my time, and any chance of redemption.
