GRJ takes the stress away
Booking our holiday at the head office in York made the booking extra special, it's a lovely relaxing setting and all the staff are so friendly and attentive, they also look so happy in their work. This is our 5th Great Rail Journey booking in 24 months, they really take the stress out of booking a holiday as they look into and take care of everything.

Canada Coast To Coast trip June/July…
Canada Coast To Coast trip June/July 2026.
Had a great time on this trip, lots to see and do, traveled with a great bunch of people, some of whom we had traveled across the US 3 years ago, which was nice. Tim our tour guide was a really nice guy who made sure everything ran as smoothly as it could. As with our US tour there were some places that we would have loved to stay a bit longer but tours like this are generally to give a good taster of what is there before moving on. There will always be some little things that are not quite as good as we would have liked but the main test for us is that at the end of the trip did we enjoy it! And the answer to that question is an absolute yes! It was an epic trip from start to finish, easily on par with the epic trip we took across the USA 3 years ago. Information for any disabled reader thinking of taking the trip, I have a BTK right leg amputation and a severely damaged left leg with limited movement. I managed this trip fairly easily with only the hilly nature of Quebec being a problem walking. This is a great trip overall, but I would advise upgrading train cabins to the best you can afford wherever possible, it's worth the extra expense. Looking for our next Great Rail Journeys trip now for 2027.

A very interesting, well-organized and enjoyable trip.
Everything was very well organized from meeting our leader at Heysham port right through to the end of the holiday. He kept us informed of the itinerary from day to day and of any further information we needed. I often feel uncomfortable in a group but really enjoyed this holiday and meeting new people.
