I've had a great experience with Hertility. I am still undergoing further tests but the team has been lovely, and the calls I've had with their clinicians have been so helpful and supportive. I had to email them a follow up question after the appointment and they replied super quickly, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend them!

Highly efficient service with empowering information
I would recommend anyone who is unsure about their fertility to get a hertility test done. The experience was very easy, with clear instructions. The results came back so quickly within 2 days and has now given me the information I need to proceed on my fertility journey. I only wish I had done the test earlier. The only drawback I found was that the fertility call and post results call seemed to be fairly similar and I probably could have just done the post results call to get the information.

Avoid- results came back abnormal, NHS results came back fine!
Being a woman of 30 and someone who is wanting to have children, I was curious about my hormones so did this test. I thought it would be quicker than the NHS. The results came back within a week. I regret wasting £150 on this to be caused extreme levels of stress and anxiety, was told my thyroid levels, and two other levels were abnormal. The results also came back that my ovarian reserve is on the lower end of normal. This obviously is alarming and was distressing. I contacted my GP who said “tests like these can give spurious results” and immediately requested blood tests to check - which guess what… all abnormal hormone results came back as normal! I feel companies like this attract women in their 30s like myself who wonder if they have left it too late and take their money with little care. My advice would be don’t waste your money, or cause yourself unnecessary stress.

Our lab is UKAS accredited (ISO 15189:2022) for capillary and venous blood sampling and was the first UK lab to attain this level of accreditation. It leads the UK in the capillary testing specialisation having published widely on the subject, it maintains the highest form of internal and external regulations. Our hormone & fertility test kits are CE-marked for IVDR use and MHRA registered, we adhere to strict testing policies to uphold our compliance.
It’s important to bear in mind that different laboratories have different reference ranges, so these results are based on our own labs' reference ranges and also there are variations as different labs use different analysers. This is why there may be a discrepancy between two different tests.
We're sorry to hear that you experienced levels of stress and anxiety and we really do wish to support you. All of our reports are written by one of our doctors who are experts in women's health and gynaecology and therefore we have a responsibility to notify our customers of any out of range results.

Waste of money and not a good enough range of hormones
They are very helpful within the company. And obviously quicker than the nhs but that is all you’re paying for. I feel it is overpriced in comparison to what some companies offer. Also I was told the pill will not affect my results but this is not the case because the pill is obviously pointing false hormones into your body. I saw a private gynaecologist who told me the blood test was essentially useless information because of this so I feel I’ve wasted my money which is a shame because I was left with no answers and still don’t have any. Also some companies offer full blood count aswell for less money that what I paid.

We have conducted extensive research to ensure our pricing remains fair. Compared to private clinics, our service can save customers significant costs while still maintaining a high standard of care. We recognise the importance of accessible healthcare and continuously strive to balance affordability with quality. For those who need it, we also offer the option to pay in instalments, which can be selected at checkout.
In relation to testing on Hormonal Contraception, the clinical team at Hertility advise that whilst there is evidence that some forms of hormonal contraception can temporarily suppress AMH levels, this is highly dependent on the individual (for example, some people’s AMH level does not differ whilst on or off hormonal contraception). This is why we still advise that you can use our testing kits whilst you are on hormonal contraception, as you can still receive excellent insights into your egg reserve.Testing your AMH whilst on hormonal contraception will still provide a great indicator of your fertility and can also highlight any underlying conditions affecting your reproductive health. Great Experience from Start to Finish
I bought a test to check my fertility but found out I was pregnant before I could take the test. I was offered a refund or the option to transfer this to another service. I have instead had an online consultation with a midwife and an hour long nutritional consultation. Both have been so informative and also reassuring. The team are incredibly knowledgeable and personable. I would 100% recommend Hertility.

We rely heavily on DHL as our courier to deliver our testing kits safely in Ireland. As our kits are medical devices, the return process is strictly regulated to meet the highest standards and ensure your sample is delivered successfully to be tested.
We provide all of our customers with a step by step guide on how to package their sample up to ensure it is delivered back to the lab safely. These instructions are sent both via email and within the instruction booklet within your kit.
I can see my colleague from our Customer Care team has been in correspondence with you regarding your tests to ensure you get them packaged up correctly so DHL can deliver your sample safely back to the lab.
Our Customer Care team is on standby from 7am-6pm (Monday to Friday) and 9am to 5pm over the weekend. We encourage all our customers to reach out to us if they need any assistance whatsoever, and we’d be more than happy to guide you on how to package your sample correctly to meet DHL’s standards.

Quite disappointed in a few aspects
After turning 35 in November, I opted to take a Hertility test as I wanted to know about my reproductive health. I beleive I paid around £180 for the blood panel. When I received the results, there was very little to no context around what the results actually meant. Discussing the results is a paid added extra.
My particular results showed that everything was within range with the exception of a slightly high AMH. The only context provided by Hertility was this meant I probably had PCOS and also due to my heavy periods (which I've always had for the first day or two, nothing out of the ordinary) I may have abdominal issues and need a scan (additional c. £200).
I have no other PCOS symptoms, and had been tested previously for it about a decade ago, but the Hertility test implied that would be the only reason for a higher AMH.
After downloading the actual PDF of the clinic results and uploading to ChatGPT to analyse, it explained that higher AMH can actually be indicative of a higher ovarian reserve, and does not necessarily to mean PCOS. I have followed up with the GP and had a NHS blood test to check for PCOS, which I don't have. It just felt a bit too much like scaremongering to me the way it was positioned as the only explanation with very little context or explanation from Hertility, which just felt like a ploy to get me to pay for more blood tests and scans.
The bottom line is I came away feeling a bit exploited. Women in their thirties who are opting for at-home fertility tests are probably quite a vulnerable demographic in terms of wondering about their fertility. I was expecting far more insight than the panel provided, but thanks to GPT and my GP, I was able to make more use of the results.

Your Hertility report is several pages long, and we have spent years building a clinically comprehensive resource that not only details your hormone levels but also considers lifestyle factors, why each hormone was tested, and what your results may mean for you.
With regards to your AMH results. When labs create a test, like the AMH test, they first determine what's considered a "normal" range by testing a group of people. This group is called the "reference population." However, this group may not perfectly represent what's truly normal for everyone, especially in terms of health.
For example, research has shown that people with AMH levels which are lower than what the manufacturer considers ‘normal’ are more likely to have polycystic ovaries. Because of this, at Hertility, we have set a different threshold to identify potential polycystic ovaries, based on scientific studies that looked at the same AMH test we use. It is important that when reading results, they are always interpreted in the context of the reference range provided, and not reference ranges found from other labs or via ChatGPT which is not a licensed practitioner. Every one of our reports is written by qualified doctors, who are all experts in women’s health and gynaecology. The doctors carefully analyse your online health assessment and hormone readings to create a complete, comprehensive results report.
At Hertility we have a duty of care to signpost to you to further investigations if the Doctor deems it necessary. You are not obligated to carry out the next steps that your doctor has recommended through Hertility. We do encourage all of our customers to take their results to their GP for further investigations. However, we provide these additional services to ensure we are supporting our customers with accessible end to end care.
We have done extensive research to ensure that our pricing is fair, and in comparison to private clinics, which in some cases, customers could be saving thousands of pounds. We acknowledge the need for accessible and affordable healthcare, so we strive to balance making our services affordable whilst also keeping it high quality.
