I love watching the guests demonstrating their crafty goodies. The Presenters seem to enjoy working there, it comes over as a very happy working environment. The one capped postage is a real bonus. The Customer Service staff are helpful and friendly. I think HobbyMaker is one big happy Parcel.

the range of products is extensive, most of the presenters are brilliant, the prices are competitive, the postage one day price is amazing and the customer service department are really helpful so long as you phone them, dont email them you just go round in circles

Don’t like Guest demonstrations being rushed for time only for Presenters to talk about other items coming up on the show; too many “catch up checking out” breaks.

I've ordered quite a few items from Hobbymaker and have always received excellent customer service, even when things didn't go as planned (on two occasions an item didn't arrive, but as soon as I called they rectified the issue) . The customer service team are fantastic and I love the variety of craft brands offered.

The shows are great for demos and inspiration and the goods are usually at discounted prices if you buy a bundle. Good range of suppliers and styles of craft. However the delivery and customer services are weak points. Yodel is terrible, especially as they don’t allow any control over delivery options from HobbyMaker and therefore if you miss a delivery because you don’t hear the door you might as well give up. Follow up is hopeless. Customer service is slow, though they usually do resolve after chasing. It’s just stressful trying to sort out missing deliveries.

The problem with this company is the useless delivery and loss of parcels. I had to ring about 3 parcels which I had to ring the supplier myself and spoke to the marvelous girl on the phone and I was sent a separate article of what I ordered.

I thought quite a bit before writing this review as I wanted to be objective, so it's a review of two halves.
Positives: The range of items on the shows, the postage
Negatives: The postage, if you just want an inexpensive item the postage doesn't work.
The price drop....I feel like I am being treat like a child, just tell me the actual price to start with not the faux build up.
I would like to be able to see all the items on all the shows for that day (with the price) BEFORE they are on air.
Slow dispatch and delivery times, mine have all taken around 2 weeks from placing the order.
No pre-paid label available to return faulty, damaged, used goods. I wanted to return a used item and asked for a returns label only to be told 'we don't do that' and I had to pay to return it (die cutting machine) and didn't receive a refund for the postage only a credit to my account which I didn't want.
Selling something at 'it's lowest price ever' only to be sold even lower a few days later (Teal Big Shot).
Lack of demo's and close up on demo's, the demo's help me decide if I will purchase the item.
Presenters talking over the guest and they are explaining the demonstration so you don't hear what they have to say.
The hard sell, telling us repeatedly 'you must, need, have to get get this now' etc.
I do believe that with a bit of 'fine tuning' Hobbymaker could be a lot better.

I have ordered from a number of companies at HobbyMaker, however, when things go well it is great.
I have had a number of orders where items are missing and that is when the headache starts.
I have to continue to chase HobbyMaker for updates and a few times the items are no longer available and it has taken two months to get a refund.
Due to how many issues I have had with orders I am getting to the stage that I will not place any further orders.
Very disappointing customer service.

Love HM, but feel the delivery time of items are long. I am still waiting for items missing from craft consortium and have been going back and forwards with HM help team to get this sorted. It has now been a month since I ordered the items which is a shame. I feel that people are left out from any competitions and deals, giveaways from Facebook etc as not everyone uses these apps so cannot take part in them. Sometimes HM do deals on the same products so gets a little boring. Mega bundles from Craftets companion are always similar items and it would be great to do different bundles. Need more demo time and less personal talk as you dont get enough info about items ordering. Also a big issue is that items are not descriptive enough when ordering on the site and when showcasing on the shows I.e. sizes of dies and stamps, it always looks bigger on the screen but when you receive it it’s smaller and the price is expensive.

Love HM great shows with very informative and experienced demonstrators, I really enjoy the lively chat from the presenters who are funny but also professional.

Most of the time very satis factory. Have watched Hobbymaker since the start. Sometimes now takes longer to get a refund than I expect but often due to Yodel rather than Hobbymaker.

Hobbymaker have never dissapointed me in any of my transaction and there have been a great deal. I am 84 years old and know a bargain when I see one and Hobbymaker never let me down. I can after many many years craft at a reasonable and often very low price with all my favourite companies. Hunkdory,Papaer Dynamics, Pinflair, and many others. Thank you Hobbymaker keep up the good work and the humour, my only regret is what happened to Zena and Ivy she is greatly missed her humour often made the show.

What let down for all the hype about a new product just mini Tim holts ink pads ,just to get people to watch an extra hour ,turned over back to watch the football much more exciting, need to do better people will switch off .

This complaint is regarding a customer service representative. I regularly use HobbyMaker and think the split payment option is great. I missed one payment due to emergency car issues and the rep (too unprofessional to give her name and I was too astounded to ask) contacted me twice today. The first time I answered, there was an issue with the connection but she clearly said “are you going to answer or just keep avoiding us”. The second time I answered, I explained the situation re payment etc. and called her out on being rude. Instead of apologising, she said “oh, so you heard that but didn’t answer?”. I politely explained not to be rude to customers. Maybe they should train their staff to not to be passive aggressive and listen first?

I placed an order for some speciality encaustic art card that a friend wanted for her birthday. I also added a smaller / cheap item for myself just because I was placing an order - not something I would have ordered otherwise. Three and a half weeka later I was refunded for the encaustic card. However my smaller item was still delivered meaning I had to pay the full amount of post and packing, despite the additional item only costing around the same amount, I was not given the option to cancel the entire order, something I would have done.
I understand that cancellations can happen, though it would have helped to know about this sooner. However it should be common sense that a customer does not necessarily want to pay for p&p for just a small remaining item.
I am a regular crafter and have been for over 20 years, but I find the deliveries take a long time coming, and I don't like it when the presenters reel off names of people ordering and where they come from - I feel this is a breech of data protection at a low level.
I would like to add that many of the products are good, and I like to listen to Pete from Sizzix, Leonie P, and Paula, so I do check out the schedule.
One of the reasons I placed an order a while ago was for a specific card, and despite it showing as available on the website, this was removed from my order - I would not have placed the order in the first place if that was the case.
I love hobbymaker, apart from the excellent products and service, I enjoy the shows, they have a good selection of products, the presenters are entertaining, the customer service team are very patient and helpful, (pensioner here), over-all a great company to deal with, hence 5 stars✨
