Avoid this company at all costs

I would give no stars if it was an option, it was the worst holiday I have ever been on, 2 days before travel they contacted me to say that the hotel and boat had changed, we were given no option to cancel, when I said I was unhappy with the hotel they offered me another one and gave me 5 mins to decide, this hotel was an inferior hotel, the dates to board the boat were also changed but this was not drawn to our attention until after we landed, we stated our upset but they didn’t care, the boat we had booked was 5 star with balcony’s, the boat we were changed to was not!!! but on boarding, this had been changed again, the boat was disgusting, filthy, falling apart and so was the food, most people on board were ill, including myself and on disembarking I had to see a Dr who put me on antibiotics and tablets to restore gut peristalsis, I am still not right a month later and I normally have a cast iron stomach, I have done a Nile cruise before and visited hotels 7 times and have never been ill before, I could go on and on but I would run out of characters, avoid this company at all costs, they will take your money and then change the whole booking to suit themselves, we are about to take them to the small claims court to recover the cost of the trip and compensation for the stress and disappointment we endured
Be aware that the 5 star reviews are based on the booking experience, immediately you have booked the holiday they ask you to write a review which I did but have since deleted, the majority of one star reviews are after the holiday where it appears especially in Egypt that the hotel and boat all get changed at the last minute with no option to cancel, it seems they entice you to book with a lovely hotel and boat and then downgrade you at the last minute to something that is disgusting and filthy……. BEWARE!

Thank you for your patience while we followed up with our suppliers regarding the concerns you raised about your recent holiday.

We would like to first note, as confirmed by your own communications, that you were satisfied with the flights, the all-inclusive hotel accommodation, and all arranged transfers, all of which were provided and fully utilized as booked.

With regard to the cruise portion of your holiday, we understand that this aspect did not meet your expectations. We have liaised directly with the cruise operator, who has advised that they have not approved any compensation, however they have provided the following clarification regarding your stay and the measures taken on site to support your experience:

During the cruise, several goodwill measures were offered and, where applicable, accepted, including:

Complimentary SIM cards for internet access

An all-inclusive concept for the full duration of the cruise

An offer to transfer your group to an alternative vessel for the final three nights (from Friday onwards) to improve your experience

Complimentary suggested excursions, including Abu Simbel and a city tour

Please note that the proposed vessel change and the above goodwill offers were conditional upon signing a document confirming that no further claims would be pursued. This agreement was declined, while further claims continued to be raised.

The cruise operator has also confirmed that:

Your group was allocated the best available cabins on board at the time

Bottled water and soft drinks were provided daily in the cabins

No on-site complaints or formal reports were received regarding illness, food quality, or hygiene concerns

The vessel operated in line with standard hygiene and sanitation procedures, with no reported health incidents during the cruise

As your booking was made through us, and purely as a gesture of goodwill, we offered compensation in relation to the cruise disappointment. Despite this, you continue to seek a full refund for the entire holiday, including elements you have confirmed were satisfactory and fully delivered. Unfortunately, this is not something we consider fair or proportionate.

While we regret that the cruise did not meet your expectations, the majority of your holiday was provided as contracted and used in full. Multiple remedial actions and goodwill gestures were offered both during and after the trip.

We remain open to resolving this matter reasonably and professionally, however we are unable to agree to a full refund of the holiday.

Please let us know your best time and a suitable contact number so that we can call you to review this together. We believe a direct conversation is the most constructive way forward, as posting or continuing to post reviews on public platforms will not alter the outcome of our investigation or compensation position.

Horrible company, Horrible people …

They contacted me with a deal to Egypt last year which I liked and paid for. Due to circumstances I had to ask to change dates and they were not helpful at all. The costs to do this was extortionate.
As soon as I started asking questions they blocked me then tried to contact me again trying to be helpful but the same old costs came into play without any consideration of my circumstances. All these morons care about is taking your money then ignoring you. I WOULD NOT recommend these people for any holiday. There are better more honest and reliable companies out there. Horrible company and horrible people.

Booked with Holidayjet, 1 week Nile cruise and 1 week Hurghada hotel. This review is in regard to the Nile cruise element, the 2nd week in Hurgharda at the Titanic Palace was great.
We were due to join the Al Nabilitan (5 star deluxe) on the Nile, however when we received our tickets 2 days before departure they had changed the boat to Princess Du Nil. Inquiring about the change they said the boat had a broken down lift and also a fire, so we were joining the new boat stated. When we arrived on the Nile the Princess Du Nil was nowhere to be found and we were shown to a 3rd boat the Al Sultan Hassan. Initial thoughts were this is not our boat its a dump and not the 5 star we had paid for and expected. We discussed with our rep who stated this is what he had us down to join (there were other couples having the same issues and thoughts). We showed him our booking tickets and he called Eagle tours who organise the logistics locally, they were not interested and that is what you've got. Needless to say we were at a loss. So, what we initially saw of the boat was very disappointing, but we thought lets have a look on the boats website, lovely bedrooms, library, sauna, jacuzzi, gift shop, how misled we were.
We were shown to our room, well what can I say, it didn't look remotely like their website pictures, frayed dirty carpets, safes didn't work, tv didn't work, sink in bathroom didn't work, bathroom dirty with black mould and ancient amenities, 2 single beds bearing in mind we asked for a double (our 40th wedding anniversary 😍😍). No sauna, no jacuzzi, no library, no gift shop, they have obviously used another boat for their website. The food in the restaurant was dire, on the second day most came down with curse of the Pharaohs. No escape for a week, we docked next to our original boat Al Nabilitan twice and inquired of the crew about the broken lift and fire, they said the boat was fine and had no issues (someone telling fibs). When we boarded the boat we completed checkin stating we would pay our alchohol bill with a credit card, however, on the final night when we went to pay they demanded cash only we don't have a card machine. Needless to say we didn't have that much cash (there were others with the same problem), as you will guess the discussion got slightly out of hand as nobody had that much cash. We all thought we might get arrested, not because we didn't want to pay but because we couldn't. After the rep said to the management nobody is going to pay unless you produce a card machine, it took a couple of hours but eventually a credit card reader miraculously appeared.

To wrap it up, the following morning we joined the coach for the 5 hour trip back to Hurghada, the driver fell asleep twice and nearly left the mountainous road, when we stopped at the halfway point I spoke with the coach rep from Eagle tours who was not interested in the least.
My warning here is, be very wary of Holidayjet which is a subsidiary of Galaxy Holidays. We didn't get what we paid for and expected, they delayed in sending out our tickets which left us no time to do anything about the changes (one couple recieved their tickets with only 24 hrs notice) and a great many untruths were told, the reps at Eagle tours locally are not interested in any issues, the management on Al Sultan Hussan were very evasive and unhelpful. You have been warned.

I contacted Holidayjet on my return, they have not responded.
