When you buy aluminium products or soft coat glass and the especially when you have the new knock on beads the glass should never be taped or stepped these little things are crucial the delivery driver had the wrong phone number then turned up with a bifold made up not in a kit form there was no side entrance to the house the vents would t open as the slot wasn’t the right size very disappointed 😞

One star. I will be honest here. It seems I made a mistake and ticked the billing and shipping address were the same, when they should have been different. I emailed the team with my address (the one I intended for delivery) and very specific instructions about how to access the back of the property (this has no steps and an empty garage for storage). Apparently because I did not write ‘change of delivery address’ they didn’t check that the address written in my email, and address of the map attached matched that of the actual delivery address. I am not sure how they even managed to connect my email to order (perhaps by my name alone) without triggering an address check too. I was reassured that they had received all the ‘detailed information’ and ‘passed it onto the delivery team’. On the day of delivery they delivered to the incorrect address and the delivery man had no idea about specific delivery instructions. Both houses have garages so I might have expected him to say the garage looks different to the 3 photos you sent over!! We had planned and paid for our builder and a 2 men to receive the doors, as requested by the company. They’ve now demanded £100 for delivery in 2 weeks or £350 for re-delivery next week. On top of this, we very sadly had an immediate family bereavement on the same day. This obviously has no bearing on the companies delivery policy but their treatment was appalling. I have been blamed for providing the wrong address (my original error I accept) and told it would be unreasonable for them to check an address when I send an email unless I specifically wrote ‘change of delivery address’ because ‘address xxx delivery date xxx’ wasn’t enough to trigger them to check the details. What a shame. (Edit to add that other than the original invoice, they contacted me about 10 times via text and email to confirm delivery date and not one of those messages has the delivery address on: if it had I would have immediately realised).

I would like to know how the company connected my email which stated ‘delivery address and delivery date’ as the title to my order. If it was just by my name, then how could they even confirm the order was the same. I did not have the order number or even details of the products in my email.

The bifold doors are of a good quality and the finished result looks great. Sara and the customer care team were also courteous and responsive throughout.

However, considering the cost of the project, I expected the overall experience to be far smoother than it was. There were delivery issues, had to work with the delivery man to unload the product, there was a failed installation visit, and a return visit was needed to complete the work which was forgotten. The door configuration also differed from what I believed I had originally ordered.I should have spotted the discrepancy at the final sign-off stage, I believe there was a breakdown in the ordering process before that point.

The company apologised for the inconvenience but offered no gesture of goodwill despite the disruption and time I lost from work.

The end product is good, but when you’re investing a lot of money, you expect the process to be as good as the product. Unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience, and I wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending the company.

Great service from Josh! We had many door quotes and they by far made this the most seamless and easy process. Can’t wait to see the final result once the door has been fitted.

Very frustrating experience overall.

While the doors themselves appear to be good quality, the communication and customer service throughout the process was extremely disappointing. The order ended up arriving around seven days later than originally promised, which caused unnecessary disruption to an active build project and delayed contractors which cost me.

The biggest issue throughout was the lack of communication and accountability. Emails requesting updates were ignored entirely, meaning I constantly had to chase by phone for information and return calls that were promised but never happened. On several occasions I was assured items would arrive or updates would be provided, only for those promises not to be delivered on.

The final issue involved the delayed delivery of the door frame. After once again receiving no meaningful update, I ended up having to track down and contact the delivery company myself to get answers and confirm delivery arrangements directly. Ironically, the delivery company were far more helpful and communicative than the company I actually purchased the doors from.

Mistakes and delays can happen with any business, but good customer service is about communication, ownership, and managing expectations properly. Unfortunately, that was lacking throughout most of this experience.

In the end the doors did arrive and appear well made, but the overall process was far more stressful, time-consuming, and poorly managed than it should have been.

In hindsight I would have picked a different company to purchase from

We needed a bispoke 10 Metre sliding door set for a customer and struggled finding a company in the U.K. to supply these. We then found Home Build Doors who made life easy for us. They even suggested a third party installer that was absolutely brilliant. If we need any More bispoke Features like the slim line sliding doors theres only one company we will use. Home Build Doors.

Good experience with this company and would order again. I ordered a set of bifold doors and set of sliding doors.

Customer service has been great and very responsive as we had several queries.

Would have been 5 stars if one glass panel hadn't turned up with scratches (which was replaced quickly).

All very straight forward and professional. Very pleased with my door it’s a real upgrade.

I was a bit hesitant initially about ordering expensive heritage windows online but Home Build Doors were brilliant. The whole process from specification and design to delivery went really well. Thanks to Lory who was always quick to respond to questions.

I purchased 2 heritage doors and 1 window from Home Build Doors. The price was very competitive, and the communication throughout the whole process was superb.
They were proactive in quickly addressing any issues, with someone you can actually speak to.
I will definitely use them for future purchases, and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Josh & the team were very helpful throughout our project. Like anything, things didn't always go to plan, but it's about how those pain points are dealt with that reflects on a company.

The product itself, faultless. Wish I could upload some pics to accompany this review -as this finish really is spectacular.

Never having installed internal aluminium doors with side panels before so was looking for installation information which there wasn't any, then when unwrapping the frames l found that a lot of the beading fell out where l noticed some had been cut and some were numbered which left me scratching my head, also there was so much rubber gaskets provided although only in two different sizes.
After spending a couple of days trying to work the installation out it l found that the cuts in the beading was made to accomodate the distorted joints of the main frame, the numbering was meant to explain what bead fits where but as they had all fallen out form here on it was trial and error and recut the beads accordingly.
l was pleased with the product but would have appreciated being informed of the the cut beading and the numbering.
l did locate the online installation information but it wasn't sufficiently detailed

Sensational pricing, friendly service! Very happy with the quality of the products on offer!

Delivered over hour after window in total black of night.

No calls or texts. As to when or running late.

Doors missing lock, wrong handles and missing fixing bolts.

Had to rearrange labour for when lock was sent out, but they never replaced the ‘upgraded handles’ they never bothered sending at all.

Day of fitting. Upon removal of protective film. Badly scratched factory / fabrication scratches; then find the glass panels do not fit the doors nor are they the sizes printed.

Four windows don’t fit.

Delivered at night - unable to visually inspect.
No door lock, delivered days later.
No upgraded handles - still awaiting them.
Glass doesn’t fit at all, either too small or two big.
Upon removal protective film, numerous factory scratches under blue tape.

Wholly ignoring higher labour costs as missing essential parts.

The doors couldn’t be fitted as no locks.

When locks were sent out. They were lacking suitably sized fitting screw to fix in door.

Wrong handles and presently nil ETA of when they will arrive.
Doubled my labour costs for fitting doors and they simply chose to ignore this.
Glass woefully bigger or smaller than stated sizing.
Badly scratched under protective tape.
Advised me I had to inform them within 48 hours, except as missing essential fixings ( locks & handles ) didn’t remove protective tape until had ability to lock the doors.

Frankly it’s disgraceful lack of quality control in the first instance, a toxic delivery so no visual inspection could be done. And had a third party sign for delivery myself or my partner the property owner and customer.
No notification I had to check goods within 48hours, I told them in the morning after late night delivery. Was not happy on number of points.
1.Dumping them at my property and leaving.
When I wasn’t there.
2. Anglicising my Irish name. Indicative of complete lack of respect and basic ignorance or worse.
3. Wrong handles
4. Missing bolts
5. Missing locks
6. Informed must immediately rectify the above which they still have not done and I was incurring labour costs as installation prolonged. Said I would have to continue it over into next week.

At no stage informed about checking for damage; left the windows wrapped awaiting the missing parts.

When unwrapped scratched all over, still no actual door handles and they patronisingly offer a pen.

It’s now with our lawyers, insurers and trading standards.

Terms your mendacious reply, doors were delivered covered in film in total darkness.

Therefore unable to inspect as well you know.

Likewise no lock
Glazing on 4 windows grossly oversized or undersized, likewise the mount bars too large to fit.

As it’s with our lawyers? I’d review one’s attitude and disingenuous contemptuous approach. If you don’t offer us satisfactory outcome, our bank will refund us in full. As that’s underwritten by existing statute, terms sales law.

Terms your response. It’s deeply offensive & defamatory.

Given the doors delivered in total darkness and signed for by a third party.

I contacted yourselves becoming aware this the next morning, remarking the doors were marked.
They have deep scratches on the frames from factory. This was reported within hours. The extent of scratches only being fully known upon removal of any film

In terms language. I’m not tolerating systemic racism or your staff unilaterally changing my Irish name, to offer I will suffer no BS on such isn’t either unacceptable nor aggressive.

Given the mess of my Irish name reduced to gibberish is clearly written on the frame itself is unacceptable.

I recieved lock ( missing ) 5 days after requesting lock, the correct handles over a week later. The glass doesn’t fit either. So you are invoiced for replacement as you have left me with a door neither secure for days nor weather proof. The response has been patronising and at no time have you sought to contact me directly to rectify this. You also claimed to have contacted my lawyer.

For what purpose?

As I have said, it was bought on card, and as I reported scratches. Delivered in darkness and you failed utterly to deal with it in any meaningful way, I’m taking it further and your response is to patronise my lawyer.

I needed a new UPVC door for my home abroad, and I had contacted many companies. I am so happy I came across this company. From the moment I telephoned and spoke to Josh he was very proactive and responsive. He assisted me in choosing the correct door. A few days later I spoke to Lory who was and is just as proactive and responsive, their customer service is excellent. I must have telephoned numerous times and each time I called Lory was patient and pleasant and gave excellent customer service. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to anyone looking for new doors or windows; you will not be disappointed. I haven't received the door yet, as it is being shipped out to me, but am certain it will meet my expectations. Thanks again Lory and Josh.
