Sunil went out of his way to resolve…

Sunil went out of his way to resolve the issue that I had with the transfer of the service to another provider and receiving the final bill. He took clear action without the need to pass me around the company which has been a common experience elsewhere! I only left because Home Energy don't currently offer a fixed tariff which I wanted to sign up to in view of the global energy price increases.

Great customer service and an app that just works!

Always had good customer service from Home Energy and today was no different. The call was answered pretty much straight away and Sunil Datt, the guy taking the call, was very knowledgeable and very professional. Great customer service with a no-fuss app that works well.

Moved my electric over in January

Moved my electric over in January , and now decided to move my Gas over in March.
Rachael who replied by email sorted everything within a day for me
No issues whatsoever

Instant answering of a phone call, and multiple queries dealt with

Talking to Home Energy is such a pleasure. Normally everything can be done online. I have moved house, and in fact moving with Home Energy could not have been simpler. I just needed help to read a new meter, confirm how a small credit would be refunded on the old property, and to set my mind at rest that all was well. It was! Seriously, why go to any other supplier?

Super speedy

Super speedy, super helpful. I spotted a massive mistake 6 months into a new account with Home Energy that I had made. But Customer Service have sorted it out within 10mins!

Ok until smart meters fitted

Ok until smart meters fitted. fitted on 30/6/25 never one had a gas meter readout on the in home display. HE claimed it was a meter issue and sent SMS to replace. SMS said meter was communicating with their system, must be a HE issue. still no readings on IHD. HE kept asking every month for meter readings, all the gas bills showed estimated readings. I decided to switch to Fuse 9/2/26 and they submitted their switch final meter readings. HE dispute the gas reading by Fuse and wont send a final bill. They are currently sat on £629 of my money and wont refund. I have now raised a complaint with HE (HE2001705/389) and spoken to the energy ombudsman.
HE failure to fixed gas meter issues has been repeated over and over based on the reviews on this site, showing complete apathy, inconsideration, and ineptitude to their customers when there's a genuine issue. Thats generally the issue with shopping around for the best deal... the downside is those suppliers dont step up when the going gets tough. HE management are obviously shysters or inept!

You talk the talk but dont walk the walk. You've failed many customers and come back with the obligitary apologies. Actions are what people want, not words. Send me my final bill and refund my credit today. Its been over a month since I switched and all you've done so far is talk! Validate your words with actions!

We understand how frustrating it must have been to experience ongoing issues with your gas meter and in-home display following your smart meter installation, particularly with repeated requests for readings and estimated billing over an extended period.

We’re also concerned to hear about the delay with your final bill and refund following your switch, as well as the dispute over the final meter readings. This is clearly not acceptable, and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and frustration caused.

He helped with my DD which has out my mind at ease not having to worry about increased costs.

Can you tell me your hours that day and night meter readings work on....several times asked and no response...this seems to be your customer service point to be honest as no one else replies. Also no mention on my account, contract or otherwise, which I think may be illegal?

Economy 7 day and night times can vary depending on where you live in the UK and the type of meter installed in the property. The switching times are normally controlled by the meter itself or the local network, rather than the energy supplier, which is why they can differ between regions and households.

Typically, the off-peak (night) period lasts seven hours overnight, but the exact start and end times can vary. In many cases the meter will automatically switch between the day and night rates, and the times can sometimes also change slightly with seasonal clock changes.

If you send us a private message or contact our support team with your postcode and meter type, we’ll be happy to help you identify the Economy 7 times that apply to your property and make sure everything is working as expected.

Excellent energy company

Excellent energy company, very good customer service. Mahiza on webchat always connects instantly and answers all my questions, both before I switch and after when I was asking about their Economy 7 plan for my EV. Their rate is the best of all and even below the energy cap. I hope they will do well.
