System is not fit for purpose....
I have been a customer of ICW for more than ten years and successfully completed three large projects of multiple properties.
Unfortunately, my current project has been almost destroyed me because of ICW building control unprofessional approach to customer service. They believe it's not their job to tell yo uwhat they need, you need know somehow what's going on in their system.
Their surveyor left the company, the information was not recorded on their system. They put the burden on me and asked for several things that was difficult for us provide but we did in the end.
In the meantime, because of the delay my bank loan term had expired and I reached out to the Director of building control, unfortunately, that did not help.
Even to this date, they have not processed my Building Control certificates. I call them everyday atleast five times for an update and ask what is holding up things. In the past week, they started to ask me for things that were already provided and the people who are checking these do not read the documents properly and ask for things that already have been provied. It seems like an endless circle with NO end in sight.
Everybody at IWC is happy with the situation, because they are not the ones facing financial disaster. Even, today they told me that everything has been ceared but the evidence was not recored for EV charghing and solar panels. They were told that there are NO solar panel several time. But, I contacted the electrician and who showed my that the his certificate has listed EV charging on page 4. I am sure the ICW will find another think tomorow until I go bunkrupt which seems to be their objective. Noboday can give me any reason why the certificates are NOT been issued or when they will be issued.
