I recently purchased a domain through INWX, and nearly a month has passed without any progress on updating the name servers. This extended delay not only causes inconvenience but also casts serious doubts on whether the domain purchase was even successfully completed. Despite multiple inquiries to their support team, the responses have been unsatisfactory and vague.

In an industry where prompt service and transparency are essential, such delays and lack of clear communication are deeply troubling. To make matters worse, INWX consistently shifts the blame onto Freenom, repeatedly responding with templated messages stating that the delay is due to Freenom’s slow processing. No matter how many times I contact them, the answer remains the same—no real resolution, just the same excuse. I suspect that even in response to this review, they will say the same thing.

Until INWX takes real responsibility and improves its reliability, I cannot recommend their domain registration services to anyone seeking a dependable provider.

Ich bin seit mehr als 16 Jahren zufriedener Kunde von INWX. In all den Jahren musste ich den Support nur einmal kontaktieren (und mein Anliegen wurde zufriedenstellend gelöst).

INWX ist für mich ein sehr guter "No Frills"-Registrar: Alle Anliegen können automatisch erledigt werden.

Einziges Manko ist die etwas rustikale API, die keine API-Tokens kennt. Das ist im Jahre 2025 doch etwas schade.

It's kinda expensive, but pretty good option if you live outside the EU and want to buy a .it domain.

Kept increasing the price for my domain way beyond what their start price for that toplevel domain is, which is already more than other providers ask for.
In the end it was 160 Euro to renew. I risked to let it expire.
After about 2 weeks in the ominous "domain drop zone" it went back to the market and I bought it for 7 Euro at another registrar.
While it was in the domain drop zone, when I searched for the domain on their site, the UI would for a moment show the domain to the price they have similar domains for (around 30 Euro), before updating to not available.
It is 2 not 1 star, because they at least did not register it themselves to keep me from buying it back for a reasonable price.

I don't know why they never respond my emails.
I've written 5 emails in 3 weeks and their inwx.com support email doesn't even have an autoresponder.

Ein wirklich gutes Tool. Ich habe es seit mehr als 10 Jahre in Benutzung. Änderungswünsche und evtl die Bearbeitung von Problemen wurden schnellstmöglich asgeführt

Seit langem war ich auf der Suche nach einer schlauen und vollstaendigen API. Von einem anderen Hoster musste ich schliesslich fliehen, weil der weder das eigene Webinterface noch das eigene Supportformular (oder -telefon) im Griff hatte. Auch hierbei habe ich von INWX unkompliziert, voll freundlich und nett Hilfe bekommen. Ihr seid auch nicht arrogant und koennt mal eine Schwaeche eingestehen. Ich liebe Euch! :)

inwx.de bevormundet nicht, es gibt kein starkes Drängen in kommerzielle Angebote, die Seite ist funktional und logisch aufgebaut. (Dass ich jetzt nicht leicht finde, wo ich mein Konto auflade, ist vielleicht verbesserungsfähig, vielleicht mein Problem. Dass ich mich nicht mit Auto-Type von KeePassXC anmelden kann, sondern Usernamen und Kennwort einzeln kopieren muss, ist jammern auf hohem Niveau.) Die Erinnerungsmail pünktlich vor der fälligen Domänenverlängerung und dem teuren Auslaufen und Rückgabe an die DENIC ist fair und freundlich. Ich möchte ja nicht mehr, als meine Domain hier parken, und DNS-Einträge pflegen.

Super Service und günstige Preise. Ich bin seit Jahren mit allen Domains bei INXW.
