John D Wood & Co. Reviews

I was looking for a tenant for my house at 30 Orville Road in Battersea and contacted J D Wood on Battersea Park Road.

I dealt with Joshua Mugume and received an excellent service. He is extremely professional and really knows the rental market around Battersea. While the tenant that he found did ultimately not proceed with renting my property, Joshua went out of his way to inform me about progress at all times and continued to search for a suitable tenant for me.

As I am only looking for short term or corporate tenants, the market situation for such rentals was not favourable at the beginning of the year but I shall continue to work with Joshua again in the future to secure a tenant.

I can highly recommend Joshua’s professional assistance, he is a breath of fresh air and while this may not be relevant, he is one of the best dress estate agents I have worked with in years!

Satisfied with the whole process. Paris was extremely helpful, available for any questions/concerns and accommodating.

Eleni did a fabulous job, made all the paperwork seamless

Seamless - that's how it felt when Kate Martin helped me find a new home. She's thorough, considerate, super knowledgeable and gave really great advice. She really is brilliant to deal with and I can't recommend her enough.

My experience at John D Wood with Oliver was amazing. He went above and beyond to assist me with my move. He was always available when ever I has questions or needed assistance. I would highly recommend working with him.

I had a great experience with Paris from Notting Hill.
He really went the extra mile to help me secure a flat, and even when things got complicated, he handled everything calmly and efficiently.

We had an excellent experience working with Charlie! From the very beginning, he really took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for, and it showed in every property he recommended. The flats he showed us were spot on—exactly what we had in mind, which made the whole process so much smoother and more enjoyable.

Charlie clearly has a great instinct for matching people with the right homes. He’s knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely listens, which made us feel confident we were in good hands. We never felt pressured, just well-guided.

Great experience, we dealt with Ollie from the Battersea branch and he was super efficient. The whole process was very smooth and great communication. Very happy with the end result!

Ollie was accommodating and communicative - allowed me to drop off my ID at another branch and made the experience easy for me and my partner from viewing up until move in day. Thanks Ollie from Battersea branch!

Terrible experience as a buyer, felt scammed by this agency particularly the agent called Fee. I was told various lies to try and drive the price up (which I later found out she was trying to get me to pay a further 100k to the offer they had but led me to believe the other buyer was offering similar) I was also the highest offer and last minute told they had another similar offer. Just a mess and would never go near this agency again.

How is this for service. I renovated a property to sell, and 4 weeks into a back to brick conversion, Lisa from Beckenham branch found me a buyer. We developed and completed selling a property in 6 months!

Aside from the service, Lisa and team seem genuine, know their stuff. Couldn't recommend them more!

I cannot thank Kat, Eleni, and Luiz enough for their support recently. While we stay well-informed on the upcoming legislative shifts (such as the move to periodic tenancies and the abolition of Section 21 this May) having a team that truly understands the practical application of these changes has been invaluable.

The Lymington lettings team makes the entire process feel seamless, but where they truly excel is in the 'heavy lifting'. They go above and beyond when it comes to finding and rigorously vetting the right tenants, ensuring every detail is covered. The move-in and handover process was handled with such precision that it completely put our minds at ease. Their local knowledge, combined with a proactive approach to the new legal landscape, makes them the gold standard. If you want a team that stays ahead of the curve and executes flawlessly, look no further.

We don't need to look any further for a lettings agent for any property within their local catchment area. Thank you once again !

I had a great experience with Tushar at the Docklands office. He helped me with the sale of my property in Canary Wharf. He was knowledgable, approachable and made the process so much smoother. Really appreciate the support and would highly recommend!

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Kate Martin for the last 10 years. Kate and her team have consistently found me great tenants over the years. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing experience dealing with Kate Martin from the Primrose Hill branch. She really took her time with us and her knowledge of the Primrose Hill and NW London area is second to none. She would be our first call if looking for a property in this area.

Really solid experience with the Notting Hill branch. Paris was great to deal with and made sure everything ran smoothly. Always easy to reach, friendly, and on the ball. The whole process felt well handled from start to finish.

I had a super positive experience with John D Wood Chiswick during a recent, very stressful search for a new flat. Georgia was cheerful and switched on, always on the ball with new properties, following up, sending floor plans and videos, and answering all questions I had on the properties. She adjusted the search according to my search criteria - a lot of estate agents drag you to totally unsuitable properties and it feels like you are just a number on their KPI sheet. It was never like that with Georgia, and her knowledge, personal style and proactive search made my life a lot easier! Many thanks again, I wish Georgia and her office team all the very best for the future (not that I want to move any time soon again!).

As someone local to the area, I had a really good experience with the Notting Hill branch. Paris was great to deal with—super switched on, easygoing, and clearly knows the neighbourhood well. Everything was handled smoothly and communication was always clear.

I honestly couldn’t be happier with the service from the Notting Hill branch! From day one, the whole experience was seamless, professional, and incredibly well managed. Paris, in particular, was exceptional and truly went above and beyond.
