John D Wood & Co. Reviews

John D Wood in Beckenham have been excellent so far, positive, helpful, communicate well & keep me up to date!

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Notting Hill team, and especially Paris, to anyone looking for a reliable and proactive estate agent.

I’ve been a customer of the Lettings Team in Lymington for a number of years and they have consistently been a pleasure to deal with. Always helpful, proactive and professional. I would have no hesitation in recommending their services to both landlords and tenants.

I have worked with Kate Martin for a number of years and she is very knowledgeable and gives great property advice. If you are looking to rent in North London, she's the best!

The team at the Beckenham branch (sales) are knowledgeable, friendly and responsive. They have been proactive throughout the process and are real experts in the Beckenham property market.

I had a fantastic experience working with Paris while searching for my new flat. Paris was incredibly professional, attentive, and genuinely committed to helping me find the right place.
He took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for and consistently presented options that matched my preferences.
Paris was more than happy to answer all my questions and guide me through each step of the process.
Thanks to Paris, I was able to find a flat that I absolutely love.
I highly recommend Jhon D Wood in Notting Hill to anyone looking for a reliable and supportive property agency.

John D Wood in Beckenham have been amazing from beginning to the end. We have had to sell our family home which has been very hard and they have been so kind, supportive and always in our corner. The first phone call with Lily and then the first meeting with Lauren and Lily was so energetic and positive. They are all super efficient, organised, professional and fun. I must also mention Kirsty who is so organised, kind and supportive.
Lauren, the Sales Manager, has worked in the Beckenham area for many years and really has an impressive knowledge of houses within the area. Her advice was always well thought out, honest and she steered us in the right direction.
I cannot recommend John D Wood in Beckenham enough, all the team are lovely. We will miss them.

We’ve been impressed with the entire team at the Beckenham branch. Selling our parent's home to fund their residential care was a time-sensitive and emotional process, and the team guided us through it with professionalism. They were super-speedy with their responses and provided honest, invaluable advice at every step. Excellent support during such a critical time.

Excellent and pro-active communication and updates from Hannah and her Letting team. Cheerful, efficient, helpful and positive approach to letting my property and good working knowledge of contracts and letting legislation. Thank you!

Hannah was honest, up front and good humoured.
Told me exactly what to expect in rental and succeeded in doing so.
No lies or false promises.
Got me an excellent tenant, good remuneration and long tenancy with prospect of further renewal. March/April 2026

I have rented many properties through various different estate agencies, none of which made being a tenant a pleasant experience. Enter John D Wood like a breath of fresh air ~ the agents are delightful (especially Eleni!) & make the process seem easy and effortless. It’s a well established company and their solid experience is evident. Presently going into my second rental with them. I only looked at properties that they as agents represented, due to the good experience of being a tenant through them. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

John D Wood Belgravia Thankyou, my dream home found.

Tom and his team in the Belgravia office made letting my property a great experience, thankyou.

JDW Beckenham branch, expert, friendly and efficient service. Easy to contact and responsive in a helpful and positive way.

The Beckenham branch were professional and helpful throughout our property purchase

We have just sold our dad’s flat through John D Wood. We would highly recommend them as they have been outstanding with the service they provided, especially Lisa and Kirsty. We thank the whole team for making our sale happen. Liane and Russell

I’ve been renting with John D Wood for about two years now, and it has been a great experience. We recently had a slightly unsettled handover when our previous property manager left, but our new property manager, James Mander, has been absolutely fantastic always quick to help and resolving any issues as soon as possible.

I had an offer accepted on 11 march 2026 then i had a call on the 13th March 2026 telling me they had another offer so i need to up my offer. This is so inequitable and wrong so just want to warn others out there or these cowboy underhand practices.

A huge token of respect and appreciation for Claire Carter, who acted on our behalf through an exceptionally complicated sale. Claire demonstrated deep subject matter expertise throughout and consistently went above and beyond, navigating a whole series of challenges, any one of which could easily have put the deal in jeopardy. She showed real patience, persistence, resilience, and tenacity, and most importantly inspired complete trust, all delivered with a genuine sense of humour when it was most needed.

Thank you, Claire. Agents like you are genuinely few and far between, and John D Wood are very lucky to have you.

We have had such a bad experience with John D Wood in Battersea. Their lettings team doesn’t respond to e-mails, paperwork is done incorrectly, keys for our house weren’t accounted for. The management of this office is equally as diabolical and I would steer clear of using them in any capacity.
