Poor and confusing signup experience for free trial

Scam and a complete fraud. Signup is unclear, while signing up for a 14 day trial I ended up inadvertently signing up for the annual plan and was immediately charged for a year. The trial is only available for the monthly plan. Content is easily available from other sites without any need to sign up. Useless website being run by unscrupulous people. STAY AWAY

UPDATE: They were very quick in reversing the charge, and canceled my subscription without any hassle. So kudos for that. However, they should make their free trial clearer, with a message upon choosing the annual option that the user will be charged immediately.

WARNING!

WARNING!! do not hand over your credit card details to jumpstory, they keep taking money from your card after you cancel the subscription with them! this is despite them acknowledging my cancelation.

Watch out for their "free trial"…

Watch out for their "free trial" marketing where they try to get your credit card detail. "We will NOT charge anything on the card, but we need it for the account to work"

Cannot delete CC information, buyer beware!

I was approached my the JumpStory team 12 times via email (against GDPR regulations no less). Finally gave it a shot, after my coworkers insisted.
Beautiful UI and friendly app, which was pleasant to use. Unfortunately I decided to not continue my trial as the price point is too high for most of my small business clients.
One month after cancelling, I noticed a charge appeared on my CC. I tried to cancelling again, only to be charged again the following month.
In my opinion, this is probably a bug so it should be an easy fix. What is not so forgivable is that I couldn't delete my CC information. This and the bad experience cancelling has made impossible for me to recommend this product.
Be very mindful while signing up and check your statements after cancelling. Buyer beware!

Not perfect, but maybe ...

After initial bad reviews their Head of Customer Support took good action to settle satisfactory. Though they need some work, especially on their nagging automated email platform, there is hope for the future => 4 stars.

Search is awful

I guess that the main wish for a frequent user of a photo bank is to have a good search engine. Unfortunately, the search form of Jumpstory is awful. I used it in the 2 weeks of trial, having in mind to buy a subscription. But... sorry, no.
When I search for a pic, I want to find it directly, in 2 seconds, and download it in other 5, not to ask for someone in the client service for help.
For example, try a simple search of "Sagrada Familia". You will get tons of non related pictures, useless and annoying. Not even ONE picture with the Barcelona attraction.
So, it's a shame you have thousands of pictures but you cannot have a good, strong search form.
So... bye bye, Jumpstory!

I needed a few pictures for my blog but…

I needed a few pictures for my blog but I couldn't find anything on their webpage. I felt uninspired and all the images seemed repetitive. I turned to their support team. In less than an hour, I had a few options to pick from on the topic of the blog and I was able to use that time to focus on the writing.

Increasing collection makes for a promising future

Jumpstory has increased its collection in these last months, not only in the amount of assets available, but also the diversity of the subjects depicted.

That, as well as the intuitive classification makes for a promising future for a wide range of organizations, from content marketing, to in-house communication bureaus, advertising and PR agencies.

Good products, excellent support

I am still in the trial period, I trust in these guys that are working hard to implement better features and to add new resources. At the moment the video database is not so rich, for this reason I rate 4 stars. But keep pushing guys

They just pull images from free sites such as Unsplash and Pixabay and then charge for them. Ripoff!

Hi Amaan, we are very sorry about your bad experience. However, you criticism is not true. JumpStory has more than 25,000,000 images, and we don't source images from the websites that you mention. We may have similar images, but this is only, because we also include CC0 images on our platform.

Unlike the platforms that you mention we also offer:

- vectors
- icons
- illustrations
- image editor
- automatic background removal (AI)
- advanced search
- archive, storage and sharing
- curated collections
- personal assistant to find photos for you
- global insurance.

So it's VERY different.

Great product.

I like the idea and very helpful for designers and even for home use. Create greetings and use quality photos, videos, sounds and fonts. Also the rights are applied.
Support response time was less than an hour and within 2 hours, problem was solved.

Definetelly a good platform!
Had trouble in finding the images I wanted for a social media campaign and JumpStory was a very good solution! Looking forward for their development and growth.

I just find it so great

The tools the platform count with are really helpful for me in order to choose the most suitable pictures or videos for my blog posts. Plus, I feel safe using the content for any purpose, without getting into any copyright trouble.

God billededatabase og super support!

Jeg er meget glad for at bruge Jumpstory. Det er nemmere at finde "danske" billeder, hvilket ofte kan være en problem hos konkurrenterne. Desuden har de en god support, hvor man altid kan få hjælp, hvis man søger et specifikt billede.

Kun gode oplevelser !

Vi har kun haft gode oplevelser med Jumpstory !

En flot og brugervenlig service, hvor prisen samtidig er rimelig... og til at finde ud af.

Ikke noget med at købe "poletter" til køb af billeder i forskellige priskategorier. Nej, her er det som at være på ferie med ALL INCLUSIVE ;-)
