Booked an 8am slot and by 2pm my…

Booked an 8am slot and by 2pm my vehicle hadn’t even been looked at. Gave up in the end and asked for my keys and have since taken to another garage who did the work promptly. Will not be using this garage again!!

Really good staff

Staff are very friendly and spent the time explaining everything my car needed doing. Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Big shout out Taran and Ash for showing a professional and friendly face to the company.

Brilliant service and turnaround.

Recently had my dpf filter sorted and also they notified me of some other issues on my car. The customer service was excellent keeping me informed throughout. The detail in explaining everything to me was second to none. I can't thank KAMS servicing sawley enough. Understandably I don't look forward to spending more money on repairs but I can assure I would only be going back to this garage.

Kam servicing (Beeston) have been fantastic in the past when I've used them, super friendly, fair, knowledgeable and happy to help. They have even done little bits and bobs for free which is super kind of them. I have been a loyal customer over the years because of this.

However, sadly, I had booked in for an MOT and service with them ( weeks in advance) for the Saturday before my MOT was due ( I work Monday-Friday and it was due Monday). When I arrived, they told me they had cancelled my appointment due to being overbooked. They said they informed me by text (which I never received) and could not fit me in. This caused me a lot of stress, wondering whether I'd be able to get my MOT done for Monday to be able to work (considering everywhere is closed Sunday). If it wasn't for another garage being able to fit me in last minute due to a cancellation, I wouldn't have been able to get to work Monday, very very stressful!

I think it would be useful to call people if appointments have to be cancelled, to ensure they get the message. Or perhaps a better online booking system so that these issues don't happen again. Disappointed as usually the service is great. Hoping something gets done about this!

What's the point of being able to book…

What's the point of being able to book online picking your location & arrival time, get a confirmation email & then the next day get a text saying that date is fully booked??? Please find a better way to manage this process using available technology! (Also, no courtesy call to explain, ensure cancellation received & try to help).

Update: can't fault the prompt responses but no ownership that the IT system needs to work better to avoid these issues, given how much KAM Servicing has expanded. Shouldn't be that difficult for the IT to be set up to allocate the correct nominal time per job.

Also, no guarantee text received so a couresty call later in the day would have been useful & emphasised that the custom is valued. Thanks

We received your booking request at 00.22AM. As a courtesy, we sent you a text message at 7:00 AM the same day to inform you that the requested time slot was unavailable asking you to call the garage to arrange an alternate time.

We understand that early morning calls can be disruptive, so we opted for a text message instead.

Our automated booking system sends a confirmation message with the following:

"Thank you, your booking is confirmed. Should there be an issue with the booking we will contact you on the details provided."

We're truly sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Lost a loyal customer

As a loyal and very happy customer for the past few years I am massively disappointed in my recent awful experience with KAM Servicing. If i could give 0 stars I would.

Replaced the wrong tyre, then tried to defend the reason. Supposed new tyres scuffed and in a terrible state. Inaccurate and misleading information given by mechanic, which the manager apologised for and then back tracked on when a refund requested.

Terrible attitude from mechanic with unacceptable attempt of damage control by the manager.

Now having to go what will undoubtably be a lengthy process to get a refund.

My car sounded better before the…

My car sounded better before the service. The engine sound increased and the steering wobbled more after the service. I would have to take the car for an assessment at a different garage.

I've brought my Honda Jazz to Kams on…

I've brought my Honda Jazz to Kams on Derby road for a couple of years with no problems, however this year (2024) I took it in and it came out with a crack in the windscreen which I didn't notice until later that day and my dashcam wasn't working properly, less than three months later my car is now over heating. Clearly the "service" I paid for (£524) clearly isn't up to standard and I won't be taking my car back there in future.

Excellent service

After purchasing a van that started to have emission issues I was advised excellently by Rob at Kam Sinfin about the ongoing issue and with the help of Diagnostic report and write up by Rob I was then able to swap the nightmare van for a new one. Will be using for all my vehicle needs in the future👍

Poor customer service !

Went to visit KAM Hucknall to 'look' at tyres for my vehicle. I walked into the reception and a chap came out, not a single word was uttered by him like, 'Hello can I help you !!!' He looked at me like I had two heads !! After a couple of silent seconds I spoke & asked about tyres !!! Really poor attitude from the sales assistant or whatever he was. I took my business elsewhere, I don't tolerate that atitude & I think some training is required on how to treat customers !!
