Decided to go with this company after being with another i really wished we hadn't bothered, we went live with Kcom on friday late afternoon we had no phone! Internet was rubbish too we spent the weekend trying to sort out with the tech team at Kcom complete waste of time, rang again late Monday afternoon explaining we needed a phone line as my elderly mum needs to have support no- one gave a damn! Anyway after being sent loopy by their couldn't care attitude we decided to go back to our old supplier my god i really wished we hadn't bothered with Kcom hopefully our old supplier with be much more human and actually give a toss about people and get us back to where were were to begin with,
If you are wondering about trying this company please do not bother save yourself hassle and really do not bother, we really wish we hadn't, and we only went with them for three days and that was far too much.
Stay away from them TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE !!!!

Just had KCOM instal full fibre today. Only been in a few hours but so far working perfectly. A special mention has to go to the two engineers, Blake and Ellis. In what were really atrocious conditions, extremely heavy rainfall, these two engineers did a fantastic, professional job. Courteous and professional. Qualities you don't get everywhere at the moment. Well done KCOM

Excellent service from Jake and Jason today. They did a really neat job of installing my fibre WiFi and gave me some good advice about where to put it. They were extremely helpful and patient- making sure everything was connected and I fully understand how to operate the new WiFi. Highly recommend- many thanks!

Disputed billing after cancellation
I cancelled my KCOM service on 22 April and KCOM confirmed this was recorded, with 30 days’ notice required. My service should therefore have ended around 22 May.
Despite this, I received a bill for 15 May to 14 June for £68.48, charging beyond the cancellation period.
Very poor cancellation and billing process. Customers should not have to chase for a correct final bill when the notice date is already confirmed.
Keep written proof of everything if you cancel with KCOM.

£40 a month for a 100 mb/s and its frequently dropping out, or I'm getting speeds between 10-40mb/s. try making a complaint or getting through to someone once your a customer, verbal only ( hand no records ) or in writing by snail mail. and of course you'll have to go through the hours of turning your router on and off and unplugging devices and even then they still wont admit it's their network.

Seamless installation
KCOM have had really good communication with us from the start, and I have had the opportunity to ask questions throughout the whole process. On installation day, Blake and Ellis came at 8am promptly, and they were polite and communicative throughout the process. They clearly explained the steps and what they were doing. They gave us different options so that we could optimise our Internet speed, including wiring it into our gaming room. They explained and showed us the app and let us know any next steps we needed to follow. Very impressed with the efficiency and customer service. Both of them were friendly, polite, easy to talk to, and professional.

As per my previous review, KCOM customer services are appalling. Everyone is very professional and friendly on the phone but then they promise you they’ll solve your problem and then don’t. No one takes any responsibility for anything you are just passed from department to department. It is now 14th May and not had a phone line for 6 weeks.
I want to cancel my contract but they are telling me I have to pay a termination fee, even though they have not fulfilled their side of the contract and provide me with a working phone line.
People of Hull and East Yorkshire, do not join KCOM, go elsewhere to a company that values your custom.

Kcom market themselves as local - don't be fooled it's a marketing ploy.
KCOM market themselves as a local, reliable company - approachable, 'support local' vibe. But they do not deliver this. Helpful advisors but the company ethics are lacking and all about making money in line with the larger providers. Service does not deliver at all. Won't provide services and charge horrendous fees.

The engineers appeared earlier than expected and carried out the installation smoothly and without any problems. I am very happy with the speed of the broadband and the price, which is a lot less than my previous supplier. I am happy that technical and customer support is local to me.

Ellis & Blake worked friendly & efficiently whilst changing our internet over to fibre. They had to dig through the front lawn to be able to lay the cable but everything was put back and you can barely see where they had dug - no complaints at all .. Thank you
