Disappointing damage happened to this mat.
Prior to buying two of these mats we had one from munchkin and bear (now moved into my sons room). It was amazing and we used it the same way in which we used this one. We never had any issues at all.
We recently saw a small hole in one of our mats. The only things that could have caused this is the highchair which sits on it or one of my sons toys. I feel for the price you pay the mat should be able to withstand both of these.
Having contacted the company, they spoke to their manufacturer and of course they said it was accidental damage. The company did give me a 50% discount on the damaged mat but i have lost faith since I feel it is not fit for the purpose it was made for. They did deny my request to return both mats due to the quality.
Will have to replace these mats at some point.
I have heard tumble and tots is very good so may be worth trying their mats instead.

This is very disappointing to read considering we went above and beyond our policies with what we offered you. The damage caused within your ownership of the playmat could not happen by itself (or easily) and we recommend not putting heavy/sharp items on your playmat (this information is found on our website and enclosed care guide). We offered you a replacement playmat at no extra cost to yourself or a 50% refund and you chose to take the 50% refund instead of us replacing the damaged playmat.
With regards to the other playmat, there wasn’t anything wrong with it and we can only accept returns of products unused and in the original packaging within 14 days of receiving the item (this information about returns is found in our FAQs / terms and conditions), but sadly it had gone well past this timeframe and it had been used.
We have no concerns with the quality of our playmats. Our products are compliant with the European standard on Safety of toys including physical and mechanical properties.
Once again, I am really sorry about this unfortunate situation.

Very happy with this product, it is amazing and versatile.
The playmat is unbelievably soft which is perfect for younger babies and tummy time.
The mat works as a perfect backdrop for at home photos & a great base for under our brio train set.
We look forward to seeing what other uses we can get from the playmat!

Initially concerns now resolved
The mat has what seems to be an overpowering chemical smell. Bought it two weeks ago, had it in a spare room with a window open and unravelled, still smells today.
Edit - the mat did air ok in the end and we’ve now no concerns using it. Thank you to the team at Little Fae for offering a refund, we’ll stick with it in the end. It bears the weight of an adult sitting with baby and still has plenty of bounce in it so it’s making playtime fun.

EDITED - the customer did not respond to my contact attempts, which were offering a return (including courier service to collect the playmat to make the return process as smooth as possible) and full refund.

We have reached out to you by email to offer you a return and full refund because there should not be a chemical smell occurring, so we would need to investigate why this has happened. Rest assured our playmats have been tested to the highest standards with SGS, so are perfectly safe for newborn plus.

Brilliant company and product, super fast processing and dispatching. The mat is perfect for our little one great for tummy time, learning to roll and crawl. Takes a lot of stress off the mind about them rolling and knocking their heads. Looks great too.

Purchased an ‘imperfect’ mat to keep the cost down. The only imperfection was on the other side to the side I use so it’s perfect for me. So comfy for myself and my little one. Fits under my sofa for easy storage. All around great investment

Great purchase, definitely recommend
Great quality, just what I was looking for. Heard about Totter and Tumble but came across Little Fae and the quality is exactly the same, but about £40 cheaper. Lots of designs to choose from and love the fact it is reversible.
Quick delivery despite getting an email with discount code as the owner was going to be on holiday. Very pleased and would definitely purchase again.
