London bespoke carpentry Limited Reviews

Simon is such a lovely guy and he did a fantastic job on our under-stairs storage. He designed the cupboards and draws following exactly what I asked for. He made use of every little bit of quite a big and challenging space. He came when he said he would, worked hard and finished on time. Most of all he was a totally pleasure to have around, my kids loved him and he was always happy and smiling. I would recommend to anyone

Simon from London Bespoke Carpentry worked alongside Greenwich Plumbing Company to completely transform our family bathroom, and to install a downstairs loo in our under stair cupboard. He did an absolutely fantastic job, adding stud walls, tongue-and-groove panelling and fitted cabinets, and organised new lighting and tiling, all of which was executed to perfection. We are thrilled with the results.
Communication was brilliant throughout, and Simon was polite, professional and tidy all through the job. Thanks so much Simon!

Simon put up free-floating wooden shelves all through our house, including a wall-mounted bar-stool desk. He matched the wood for our existing wood-work and attached the shelves to the wall such that they can bear a substantial weight, if needed. They look terrific and really add to the ambiance of the house. We are very happy with the work and have asked him to look into making an adult "bunk bed" with a sitting space underneath for our small bedroom.

After trying a few local ‘carpenters’, some of them unhelpful and clearly didn’t want the job. We then found Simon. He came round promptly for a site visit and went away with ideas and measurements. Within a couple of days we had drawings of what he proposed and a quote. All very promising, apart from him not being available until March 2022. Not a problem for us. Then he called to say he could fit us in before Xmas. He arrived as agreed and after checking the design with us he started. At every stage of the job we were consulted and he suggested alternatives if he wasn’t happy with the look. Due to work commitments we had to leave him working but we felt very comfortable with him in our house. He was a joy to meet and very conscientious. Every evening he cleared away any mess and all his tools. He did a brilliant job on a very awkward project, that really challenged his ingenuity. We are very happy with the finished door and our friends have complemented on his level of craftsmanship and design.

Having fallen into the wrong hands in the past, we were extremely cautious when it came to choose a professional to get our fitted furniture made. So glad that we met Simon. Not only did he answer our initial enquiries with punctuality and thoroughness, he also was very good at understanding and anticipating our requirements. After meeting in person, we were totally convinced he was the one. He is very skilled and knows his job. He made a beautiful corner wardrobe for us, and three cupboards, all functional and with a perfect look, exactly as we had imagined them. Moreover, on top of being a reliable professional, Simon is very pleasant to have around. Discreet but always ready to answer our questions; focussed but always with a smile on his face. We will not hesitate to call Simon again and to recommend him to our friends.

We absolutely loved having Simon come to work in our house over a six week period. He is very clear with his communications, both in terms of his quotation and also his availability. We are absolutely thrilled with our bathroom and he has a great team of very loyal colleagues. He is a perfectionist and built such a beautiful cupboard, my wife raves about it still every day, and we have now had it for two months.

His talents as a carpenter are without doubt, but the main joy was having him come to the house every day, cheering us up and always very positive when the occasional hiccup happened during the job. He is a true artisan and have already recommended him to several friends. Get in quickly as he gets booked up!

Simon takes great pride in his work - as indeed he should! His craftsmanship is excellent with wonderful attention to detail. He built us four very different pieces of furniture as part of the same job - a large floor to ceiling shelving unit, a TV and HiFi unit, an airing cupboard and a teenager's "electronics/gaming" cupboard - and we are delighted with them all!

Simon is also a pleasure to work with, professional but friendly, punctual, efficient and tidy - he even finished the job the day before he said he would! We will no doubt be calling on Simon's skills again and would have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

Absolutely brilliant! I love my improved front door and my new bookshelves. I highly recommend Simon and will definitely be using him for more work in the future.

Not only is Simon a very skilled and professional carpenter; he works respectfully in consultation with you. He is reliable, flexible and an absolute asset to the trade.
Simon was and remains a fantastic ‘find’ and an asset to any home renovation/carpentry project. I have used his services repeatedly through house moves, redesigns etc which never disappoint! Wardrobes, bespoke panelling, bespoke kitchen work surface s and cupboards etc etc.
I will only book/engage Simon now, and I’ll happily wait. His good reputation precedes him and he is more in demand than ever.
However, he does exactly what he says on his van …. bespoke carpentry. A proper decent man to boot!
Highly recommended!!👍

I really liked working with Simon. We talked through what I wanted on a couple of visits (to scope/quote the job and to measure up). During the work he was consultative and flexible and I’m really REALLY happy with the finished product. For what it’s worth while he was here Simon was polite, kept to himself (no tea/coffee requests!) and everything was tidy/clean at the end of each day. If I need anything else done I will wait as long as is necessary for Simon. I thorough recommend him. In fact I’m on two minds about this review in case it makes it even harder to get him booked in!

We asked Simon, and his team of experts, to build a set of very deep (90cm) drawers for the kitchen, and a total refurb of the downstairs cloakroom with a Japanese style washlet, including shelves for 24 pairs shoes.
They were all on time, very tidy, well mannered, and consulted us on any minor issues that arose. In all aspects, the attention to detail was very high, which ends in a high quality result. The plan was 3 weeks, and lasted 3 weeks, and was not rushed at all.
We are absolutely delighted with the results; he has translated our plan / vision into reality, and it has made a big difference to our daily lives already.
He will be at the front of the queue for our next project of wardrobes and shower room! Many thanks.

Simon was recommended to me by two friends. He fitted two beautiful wardrobes, shelving units and a full length cupboard into my quirky lovely home. The results exceed my expectations regarding the attention to detail and the time frame for completion. In addition to his evidenced craftmanship Simon is a clear communicater, reliable and just a lovely decent guy who I'd have no hesitation in recommending or booking again.

We couldn’t recommend Simon highly enough.

He’s built some bespoke wardrobes for us and most recently managed the fit of a new bathroom. We’re delighted with what he’s delivered on both.

He’s a fine craftsman, a really diligent and professional project manager and a really top bloke too. Nothing is too much trouble and he really cares that you - the ‘client’ - get the outcome you want, not what’s easiest for him. Unlike some in his line of work, he really understands customer service and delivers it in spades. And he’ll arrive every morning with a genuinely cheery greeting.

We’ll certainly use him again and would recommend to anyone without a moment’s hesitation.

We've known Simon for about 4 years, during which time has completed many jobs for us. From shelves, fitted wardrobes, cupboards to most recently he completed a complete refurbishment of our bathroom.
Simon is great to work with. He spends the time with us to understand what we're wanting or trying to achieve, he always collaborates with us to problem solve with helpful suggestions for any job big or small, he works to a very high standard, keeps us updated during a job, and always always leaves our house tidy with rooms/facilities usable at the end of each day on longer projects, which is very much appreciated. Simon is great to have on site, very friendly and cheerful. We can't recommend him enough! Thanks for all your hard work Simon!

Simon has built an absolutely beautiful pair of matching wardrobes in our bedroom, (one with a great set of bespoke drawers) the end result being more stunning than I'd imagined could be possible. I've never had such a fine piece of furniture before! Not only did Simon pay particular attention to the design ideas we had, he enhanced our ideas talking us through it as we went along. His work is very neat, he is clearly extremely skilled in his trade making the whole process really exciting to see from start to completion. Prior to his work he contacted us when he says he will, informs us of any supply issues (throughout lockdown) and puts all his information in writing making everything very easy and clear to deal with. Any questions we asked and changes we made along the way were met with a warm and helpful response. In terms of his workmanship, he left the room tidier/cleaner than it was when he arrived, finished the job when he said he would and kept me informed as he worked. Having him work in your home is so very easy in every way possible due to his all round niceness, and friendly disposition, down to him being a really kind adult to my children, all of whom are very disappointed he's no longer here! I seriously couldn't recommend him highly enough. I'm totally confident you'll be as delighted as I am, if you employ Simon.

Simon is everything you’d want from a tradesman working in your home, skilled, professional, trustworthy and friendly. We first used him to recreate an alcove/fire surround that we’d seen on Pintrest and were so happy with the results we’ve subsequently used him on all our carpentry work since, including bedroom fitted wardrobes and fully fitting out our garage conversion with bespoke cupboards and shelving. He’s helpful and accommodating at every stage of the job. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Excellent, professional and work to a very high standard. Built my garden office from scratch with a beautiful bespoke result, Highly recommend Simon - approachable and great to work with A ***

London Bespoke Carpentry stripped out our existing bathroom and installed a new 4 piece suite in a new configuration.
Throughout Simon communicated with us clearly, managed the other trades (plumbing, tiling etc), and instinctively new the points to pause and show us the new space allowing us the opportunity to make adjustments and improvements without altering time or cost.
Not only was his work of the highest quality but he remains trusted goto resource for honest advice and recommendations for other local tradesman.

Simon refitted some external wooden doors and installed a garden gate. He was everything you would want from a professional working in your home: good workmanship, sound advice, maintaining contact between visits, courtesy and overall excellent work. We would have no hesitation in him doing more work for us; and to recommend him to friends.

We would highly recommend London Bespoke Carpentry. We have had our whole kitchen redone, from the floor up with new door and windows into the bargain, and every aspect of the job has been done with complete professionalism and to an excellent standard. Always reliable and fantastic customer service!
