Bike came promptly and in good condition overall. One of the packets with some of the bolts/screws, etc. had opened up and spilled into the bottom of the box, which did have some untaped seams on it, BUT, after pulling everything out, I did find everything.

There were no instructions on putting the bike together, even though there was supposed to be but I am fairly experienced wrenching on bikes and it went together well.

One other thing, I have purchased other bikes and had to put them together and this was the first time I had to actually mount a front brake. It wasn't terrible, just an extra step (especially centering the caliper) that I have not had to do before and wondered why it was not shipped already mounted.

Again, these are pretty picky and the bike is great. Thanks Marin.

Needed a derailleur hanger for Bobcat frame, unable to find one on Amazon or the usual online sources. Fortunately Marin had it available, clearly identified and for a decent price. Only disappointment was they took a whole week to get it shipped, but fortunately I bought two so I'll have a spare.

Not getting my phone calls and emails returned.
Marin staff doesn't know much about how the ShipEarly program works. Phone messages have names of people that aren't the same people. Some of phone messages to accting or sales tell me to call or text or email them but don't leave any email or text numbers or phone numbers - not helpful. Company phone numbers are all messed up. Sounds like not enough staff to meet customer needs.

Marin brand, customer service, products innovation, accessories everything they're doing right. That's why I'm looking to get my second Marin!!!

The bicycle is great. A fantastic upgrade from my Schwinn Solera!

Steven Gravenites gave me incorrect information after I specifically reached out to avoid the situation that I ended up in. I explained the part I needed, the bike in question (including a picture for reference) and I ended up ordering the wrong parts based on his feedback. I managed to get in contact with Erich Beideman via your phone system and he actually listened and found the right part that I needed. Erich deserves praise here, but prior to him, things were pretty dismal.

My son loves this bike. Big step up from his last bike. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to get their child into more serious mountain bike action.

Super happy with the build quality of my DSX 2. The color was so much better in person. Bike is comfortable and a ton of fun.

Prior to making a recent bike purchase, I attempted to reach out to Marin on multiple occasions. I was unable to speak to anyone by phone, and it took nearly two weeks to receive a response via email.
After making the purchase, I experienced a warranty issue with the bike. Again, it took approximately one week to receive a response via email. Beyond that, they did not assist me with the issue.
All that to say, the bike is great but the customer service is quite poor.

very good price and very fair shipping cost. I'd prefer you didn't "eat it" shipping to Alaska, UPS priority would have saved you more money than shipping UPS or FedEx, but thank you!

The drive train is really, really bad…pretty disappointed but I’ll replace the drive train and give it a shot. The gears shift and fall without touching the shifters, any weight at all in any gear and it skips excessively. Walmarts mountain bikes have better setups than this. I cannot stress enough how bad it is. The tires, grips, pedals and shifters are all much cheaper feelings than I anticipated. I know it’s a budget oriented bike, but was still shocked in a bad way. Really could not be more disappointed. I would definitely recommend almost anything else.

The quality has plummeted. I think the steel is Chinese, (back when I bought and sold steel we were forbidden from buying Chinese steel), some in my rear hub assembly just sheared off, like how does that even happen? It's just cheap parts over all, and they used to make great bikes.

Ordered a rim and added a build kit just to get over the $50 needed for free shipping. Then they only send the kit and canceled the rim order because out of stock. Now I have a build kit that I don't need.

I didn’t know Marin had Marin brand grips, I thought they had to the perfect ones, and they are. The gripiness is perfect and the visual pattern of them is super sharp. Easy to install too

great value and build quality. the assembly process took all of 15 minutes, including the 'help' of my 7 year old! I love Marin bikes and this is actually the 3rd bike I have purchased from them and recommend them to friends all the time.

I purchased a replacement rim for my San Quentin 3. Rim arrived ahead of schedule, but did not include rim tape, which would have been a good addition. Now I have to purchase it separately.

A mountain bikers gravel bike. Super responsive playful all surface bike. I’m impressed by the dampening of the carbon fork. The 1 by 12 drive train has a gear for everything. Plenty of mount points for bottles and bike packing bags. Assembly was a breeze.
