WORST experience ever

WORST experience ever! Do not EVER buy from this website in your life!

All that can go wrong happens here:
- Maxizoo and Revolut have a partership, if you buy a maxizoo product through revolut you will earn extra revpoints. I did not receive the extra points.

- They promise 10% off on your first online purchase, but as you can imagine it did not apply to my first purchase!

- My purchase was NOT delivered yet and DPD seem to not be able to deliver my purchase. I had another thing delivred from DPD to my house yesterday, therefore this is not an issue with my address. This is something between MAXIZOO and DPD.

- You ring maxizoo customer service on a Friday 11am and there's nobody to answer the phone!!!

I sent an email asking for order cancellation and when they reply to your email they tell you that this cannot be canceled. Now I have no idea when it will be delivered (or if it will) and have neither the product or my money!

NEVER EVER again!

ordered dried dog food on the 2/04/2026 received email this morning stating that Unfortunately, some products from your recent order are currently out of stock, and we do not have a confirmed restock date from our supplier. 6 DAYS later to find out that they are out of stock! not very professional WONT BE ORDERING FROM THEM AGAIN, very disappointed as i wanted to buy from an Irish company

Groom room Blackpool cork

​I have been bringing my dog to Maxi Zoo Blackpool for over 6 years and have always been thrilled with the service from Stephanie. She consistently went above and beyond, truly caring for my dog’s well-being and knowing exactly how to handle his groom.

​Unfortunately, my experience this past Thursday, April 2nd, was very disappointing. After learning Stephanie is no longer there, the new team looked up his notes and I explicitly requested a "short and tight" cut. Despite being told this was no problem, the result was not what I asked for.

​My dog came out looking unfinished. His legs and belly are uneven, and his face looks largely untouched—he even still had goop and debris in the fur by his eyes from his tear stains. To top it off, he wasn't ready at the promised 90-minute mark and I had to wait further.

​I didn’t have the heart to tell the two groomers in the moment, but as a loyal customer of 6 years, I expected the high standard to continue.

It is a real shame to see the quality slip so significantly; I shouldn't have to wonder if my dog has even been groomed after a professional appointment.

The online service is so bad you get a confirmation that your order is on its way when it doesn’t arrive and you contact them they say there was a glitch on the website same excuse every time I contacted the company and asked to speak to manager this time I was informed due to GDPR I couldn’t make contact with them! I explained this was my write and the person hung up on me I will never order from this company again

Martin being helpful!

Martin in customer service was so helpful when he helped us to locate a food storage box, which came free with Leader Dog Food purchase, despite there being none left in the shop in Mullingar. Going round in circles

Going round in circles with Maxi Zoo. Placed an order but they sent the wrong product - won't arrange to pick it up, I have to get a 16kg box to the post office with no car as I don't drive. Explained I would be happy to keep the product if they give me a discount - can't do that either according to customer service. So I'm stuck with a product I didn't order which they won't collect or discount. Several emails and phone calls later issue still ongoing, waiting for another person to call me back. Would not use this company again - second issue I've had with them.

Update: managed to get €21.00 refund from them. Not good enough in my opinion as the product cost €53.00 and it was their mistake but better than nothing. I won't be using them again.

While this option was available, we fully understand that it may not have been convenient for you, as DPD was unable to provide a specific collection time window.
As you preferred to keep the incorrect item and requested a refund of the price difference, we were happy to accommodate your request and initiated the credit note for the difference on the same day.

I have placed many orders with this company for the past few years and have never been disappointed. In particular, they carry a dog food brand which is not easily sourced and one on which my dog thrives. Good, reliable, company.

Poor customer service/assistance

​I visited the Mullingar store on Thursday morning (March 5th, approx. 9:45 am) with my two-year-old to buy a 12kg bag of dog food. Because I had my toddler with me, I asked an assistant for help carrying the heavy bag to the till.

​I was disappointed that the assistant didn't mention the current promotional offer for a free food bin at any stage; I had to enquire about it myself. Once I did, I was simply pointed toward a stack of unassembled bins. The moment I paid, the assistant disappeared instantly.

​I was left to struggle to the car with a 12kg bag of food, a bulky unassembled bin, and a two-year-old in tow. While I appreciated the initial help to the checkout, the lack of follow-through and the fact that I had to "find" the promotion myself made for a very stressful experience. A little extra customer care would have gone a long way.

I wanted to buy 2 boxes of (FIT+FUN…not allowed.

I wanted to buy 2 boxes of (FIT+FUN Ragout Multipack 92x100g) as I have 3 Cats and don't want to mix their feeding products. You are only allowed to purchase 1. Not enough for my situation with 3 Cats.
So have to say goodbye to MAXI ZOO IRELAND.
