SAD EVENT - GOOD PROCESS

We are pleased with the claim process.

I’m sad to say that our car was totaled. As far as I know, nobody was seriously injured. Never having gone through this before, I suppose things went well.

Very soon after the accident, we were contacted by the adjuster and things went fairly quickly, except for a miscommunication regarding moving the car from the storage facility to the repair shop.

Once the car was declared totaled, we received the funds quickly. Luckily, we had FULL replacement value on the new car policy. Eleven dollars per month was well worth it.

Problem was with AIS insurance agency

Problem was with AIS insurance agency. Several errors on application. So called agent to get them corrected. He fobbed me off to Customer Service. Customer Service would not answer my questions directly even when I deliberately phrased them for a yes or no response. Wasted my time reading from what was no doubt a script that didn't answer my original question. Wasted a great deal of mt time with this whole process. They said the application couldn't be changed even though I hadn't signed it. Took my payment before I signed the agreement. Have never experienced such an onerous process in all my years dealing with homeowners' insurance.

Beware if you have children with…

Beware if you have children with permits. I've been with mercury 2 years and even though my son wasn't licensed they added him to policy without notifying me. My payments never changed until I received a letter stating that come February they would charge me over $600 on my policy. That was completely out of my budget so I called and canceled the policy. I then received a letter saying I owe them $827 because they were covering my son. My payments for months had never reflected my son being a part of the policy and I made every monthly payment on time. It made no sense where this bill $827 bill was coming from. Since I refuse to pay it they took it to collections to destroy my credit. Save yourself the hassle and go with someone else. This company has been a headache and their workers have no phone etiquette. Every agent was completely rude and disrespectful. It's worth noting that anytime you take your teens to the DMV for their permit they automatically put it under license with "RESTRICTIONS" meaning anyone 21 an over has to accompany them at all times. The valid permit i.d. number stays the same with the DMV when they achieve there full license 🪪 Mercury wanted my son as a FULLY LICENSED driver even though he was NOT.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE after being a customer over 5 years

If I could leave a zero star review I would. I filed a claim on Feb 13th and got very poor service from my adjuster. I asked her to have her supervisor call me and never heard from one. With the automated system every time I called it would go to her. Here it is Apr 20th and I still have no resolve on my claim and even after jumping through hoops to finally talk to a different person other than my adjuster I still haven’t received a call from a supervisor. I am highly disappointed in my experience with this company and have already switched to another company. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL TO ANYONE. My wife and I had them for over 5 years and never made a claim then when we needed them due to an auto accident they did not provide the service we were expecting. This could possibly have cost us a claim that will leave us with a damaged vehicle.

Takes an abnormally long time to…

Takes an abnormally long time to respond if you need multiple quotes or if you want to speak to an online agent. I had asked for different quotes on houses I was interested in purchasing but I kept having to be transferred to the same agent that wasn’t available. After wasting so much time I decided to shop for insurance elsewhere.
