Oh gosh, emailed the company, contacted Debenhams and I’ve called Klarna. I’m not paying for this damaged item, definitely not worth the £80 when it’s turned up broke,
My poor boy just wanted a drawing desk and now I have to wait for this one to be returned before I order him something from somewhere else. The price has now gone back up to £122 and I certainly wouldn’t be paying that for a desk

Best company I’ve ever dealt with for customer service. I bought a pet gate from Debenhams and the measurements on the website were slightly off, so it didn’t end up fitting in the space I had measured it for. I contacted the company and they got back to me the same day offering a return or to keep the item with 10% off. I decided to return as I decided to purchase the bigger gate to fit in my space.
The company responded saying they will give me a full refund so that I could then purchase the 2nd gate that will fit in my space.
I’ve never dealt with a company like this, it’s usually such a headache to sort out refunds or queries. I definitely recommend!
The product was also really nice and well made/good quality, hence why I wanted to purchase the bigger version from the same company.

If only I could give a zero star rating! Bought product via Debenhams market place. MH STAR eventually acknowledged they had wrongly advertised the item. They then offered refund if I stayed at home all day to accept pick up of item! So I would lose out financially by missing a days work. Instead I settled with a £10 discount as didn’t have the energy to fight further. Which I suspect is their strategy! Suggest avoid MH STAR and Debenhams market place.
Stay Away from this Company
Ordered a basic armchair via the Range, the chair arrived and we found there was one screw hole that wasn't in the right place. Only one yet it prevents the back of the chair being fully secured on one side to the rest of the chair.
So I quickly contacted the range, who sent my return request to the supplier here. I waited, and waited, and didn't hear back. So I chased it up and was again asked for photos despite sending them originally. Another three working days, I'm told to wait for a response on a faulty product. I see from reviews here that it's not uncommon. Very disappointing service and lacking in quality.

Needed a rise/recliner chair
Needed a rise/recliner chair. Ordered from the range, but third party dispatch. It arrived with no remote control, no power cord and no manual. On complaining was offered a 'discount'of £40. This is of no use to me at all. I am disabled and having mobility issues so thought this would be a help for me. Instead I have been left with a chair that is unusable. I would not recommend this company at all. One star is too much in my opinion. Disgraceful
Mistake rectified very quickly.
1st the negative. Wrong parcel delivered. Now the positive. Situation appears to have been rectified within 24 hours and Walter the Hamster should be in his new home within 3-5 working days :-)
The delivery driver was also very friendly.

Update 26/1/25: 06:13 Saturday, my parcel has finally arrived. I Will open later.
I Ordered a folding dining table 6th January from Debenhams. My correct address is on label & I was at home waiting for it to arrive. For some unknown reason it was delivered to wrong address half way up the street. Not able to get table fro. house up the street.Debenham contacted'DX Express' who come under MH Star. Corresponded with Debenhams & DX Express for 2 weeks, a number of times. Filled in disclaimer form. MH star are apparently bringing me replacement table. Friday i was informed by Debenhams that my table would come via amazon 2 day delivery. Yesterday no signs of my delivery. I emailed Debenhams. They emailed me back today. My table is supposed to be coming today, Sunday 26th January, by MH Star. It apparently left Swansea 12:07 according to tracking of which there are no further updates. Reading these reviews I won't hold my breath. I personally think. My problem was caused by the driver that took my table to the house of a fella up the road. Maybe it's a mate & ge gave or sold my table to him?

Bought a fire surround from Debenhams that was delivered through this company MHSTAR and it was very unprofessional from start to finish.
Firstly it came without the fire and when i contacted Debenhams they told them it had been delivered,so when they eventually sent it(this was a month by this time)and i built it up there was a chunk out the fire mantle.When i got back on to them they agreed to send a replacement part which never arrived and when i got on to Debenhams again they tried to say it was delivered to me which it wasn’t so now i’m left with a fire surround with a great chunk out the mantle.
This company was very unprofessional from the start.

Bought two items from this company via The Range
Parcel delivery time is well past and no sign of delivery . When asking for an update in told give 2/3/4 days for the seller to reply. At this rate we will get to christmas with the same replies and still no delivery: being over £120 out of pocket
Disgusting company and The Range are no better since we trusted them and they have let us down badly. Never ever will I venture into a Range shop again whilst they continue to use this company
Shabby return / refund process
Wow, a big old giant like Tesco (marketplace) using this 2 bit shabby seller because they have big fulfilment warehouses etc. Absolutely shocking. Received item which isn't fit for purpose. Rang customer services who wanted videos / pics of what I wasn't pleased about. Cited under 'the consumer goods act' that I didn't need to that & asked for return details & refund. They refused postal charges so I said I would take it up with Tesco. Guess what, they are 'supposedly' issuing an email with 'refund' details and have said to throw away the item.
I would take huge caution in ordering anything via Tesco Marketplace as the refund / return process is far from customer friendly

Very quick response and good resolution to our minor issue. Lovely solid seeming piece of furniture that arrived very quickly and was fairly easy to assemble with 2 people.

Absolutely shoddy treatment from MH STAR.
I bought a fireplace from Debenhams to be delivered from them and firstly took about 2weeks to deliver and the fire was missing and they tried to say it had been delivered.So them they sent the fire out(another 2 weeks) and when i built it there was a chunk out the mantle and they were supposed to send a new part which i never received,it’s now about a month and i’ve gave up and will sort it myself.
I feel i’ve been treated really shoddily from this company and will steer clear in the future.
Would have gave no stars if possible.

A company with no customer service
Really wish I’d read these reviews before I ordered a desk from them. Only half of the desk had been delivered, the other half was apparently attempted to be delivered yesterday which is a lie because I’ve checked my ring doorbell. They won’t respond to me and I’m now left with half a desk which obviously can’t be used. Customer service is non existent, avoid this company at all costs.
