My daughter has been a patient with Mr Barua for a couple of years and it's fair to say he has been fantastic in helping her manage her complex eye conditions. We had tried everything via the NHS but were fighting a constant battle and nobody seemed to be able to help her. Mr Barua has been kind and understanding and always happy to answer all her questions and reassure her when things aren't going so well. He has helped her to reach a place where she can have a "normal" life. Special mention to Kate who always helps when we need an urgent appointment with Mr Barua. The optometrists Herj and Mo are always ready with a listening ear and the support staff are always welcoming.

Everything about the appointment was excellent. I was seen on time, everyone was very professional and pleasant and informed me what was happening at each step of my appointment. Nothing was rushed and I didn't feel a nuisance for asking too many questions. It was a pleasure to attend.

I was very happy with all the staff who looked after me. My consultant made me feel at ease and kept me informed during the procedure. I found my vision in the operated eye to be normal the morning after the surgery. I am delighted with the outcome.

The initial treatment was fine, the post treatment was appalling, only offered one time slot to suit the clinic, at rush hour on the m42, the staff argued relentlessly, despite this being a so called personal appointment, not really value for money! You may as well wait for the NHS

I had YAG laser surgery in my right eye. This was quick and painless with no problems afterwards, just clear sight. Staff very pleasant

It’s made such a difference. After an eyesight check up I was told I had cataracts. As I driver I decided to go ahead. Feeling nervous my appointment arrived, I had an idea what would happen but honestly it was painless. Everyone at Midland Eye were friendly and professional. I really didn’t realise how my eyesight had changed but having the first eye op everything is so much clearer. I can’t wait to get the other eye done now, I honestly would recommend Midland Eye.

The whole process of cataract/lens replacement was incredibly simple. My surgeon, Mr Barua was excellent. He is a refractive surgeon, so deals with some of the more complex cases where problems could occur. He is calm, considered and does his absolute utmost to get the best outcome, calculating and recalculating to select the correct lenses. During surgery we spoke and he told me what he was doing (my choice to ask questions). The procedure is quick, painless and I can now see extremely well. My result was even better than he had hoped. The Optometrists I saw were excellent and professional as was Mr Barua’s Secretary, Kate. Can highly recommend him and his team.

Had my left eye done what an amazing difference colours are bright , distance vision is great, Dr Ting and the team on the day made me feel comfortable and explained procedure in detail and aftercare was good . Waiting for my right eye to done early new year .

Over the last few years I have received treatment for for two Cataracts which were everything that I could wish for. Recently I was referred by the Optometrist for NHS Laser Treatment. This was at a convenient location , on time and very pleasantly and efficiently performed. Absolutely no complaints.

I have been going to Midland Eye Clinic for several years to have eye injections. The staff are superb - friendly, approachable, reassuring and professional. Mr Umeed always explains things well and everyone is sympathetic to my concerns and anxieties. I would not hesitate to recommend the clinic to anyone.
