I’ve used Mixam three times to print a photography zine (8.5x11, perfect bound with gloss pages). My first two orders (100 and 150 copies) were excellent. The print quality was outstanding—great contrast, vibrant colors, and sharp images that truly represented my work. I was thrilled, and both runs sold out within days. The project even gained visibility through Hawaii Public Radio, driving strong demand.

For my third order, I increased the quantity to 300 copies ($1,907). Unfortunately, the entire batch was a major disappointment. The photos printed with dull colors, poor contrast, weak tonal range, and an overall hazy, unsharp appearance. The result does not reflect the quality or reputation of my photography.

I reported the issue promptly, but the response from Mixam has been limited to generic emails with no meaningful resolution. Mixam explained that my last order was printed at a different production facility from my first two orders. I have now spent $3,028 including shipping on 300 copies I cannot sell. Mixam has not offered a reprint or refund.

This situation has directly impacted my business. Due to continued demand following my media exposure, I am still receiving inquiries—but I have no product I can confidently offer. I was also forced to withdraw from an art fair where I had planned to sell these zines.

Based on my latest experience, I cannot recommend Mixam. The lack of accountability and resolution for a clear quality issue is unacceptable.

Printing is great. Customer service is responsive and very friendly. I convinced an organization to use Mixam.

But, after paying extra to have the prints delivered next day, I received a message in the early morning that my job had shipped by GROUND. This nearly gave me a heart attack, and certainly ended my intended sleep-in at the hotel as I was so upset and tried to contact you. It turns out it was indeed sent next day, but what is the point of a message system if it is sending out-of-date and/or wrong info? I was loyal to Mixam, but I will try a different service next time because I will never get back the morning when I panicked because of the wrong info in the message I received from Mixam.

The prints came out beautifully! When printing was stopped a second time after my acceptance of the proof I called them and told them that the new projected delivery date was going to be too late for my daughter's memorial. They made it right and expedited the shipping.

Great quality, great price, delivery promise met.
Outstanding guidance during the proofing process.
Made absolutely sure that our 32-page A6 booklet was printed with all margins correct and alignments proper.

Very easy to work with and customer service was great.

Despite some mixed reviews online we used Mixam to school yearbooks. And I'm glad we did! The site was pretty easy to use, the price to print the books was reasonable, they arrived on time, and the quality was excellent.

I can’t fault Mixam for UPS losing my package… but I wish Mixam had stepped in to help me as soon as they saw my claim (UPS also notifies the sender when there’s a delay) because I had ordered expedited 3-day shipping, and now that my package has finally been found it’s still taking a week for it to arrive. It would have been nice if it Mixam offered me some sort of way to make up for it, beyond offering to reprint if the package was totally lost. Good customer service goes a long way. It’s too bad Sticker Mule does not print books! They are quick to help when I have any issues.

The delivery time was great and the whole entire process to get the book printed was great and smooth. However, there were some print lines on some of the prints that were pretty noticeable.

I had an issue with my shipping date. I needed the books before April 24th. Customer service was excellent, very patient and through on their explanation.
My coloring books turned out beautiful.
Very pleased.

Little lack of communication for one project and a bit of stumbling for the mistakes. They did do good and took care of shipping was just that, if communication had been on point things could have worked out much simpler. But the product is beautiful and will gladly work with them again.

My company, Studio Skye-Tiger, has been using Mixam since before it was even a company, with only me as a single comic creator. Since then, I've relied on Mixam for it's high quality of both printing materials and process, but their also customer service. Our shipping also often arrives earlier than anticipated, which is always good. We recommend Mixam often and with the highest praise to all of our peers in the comics community who want to self-publish.
