Motor4u is not about quality or service
Garages are there to make a profit, no problem, but some have a 100% focus on money over client. If the staff at motor4u bother to get back to you the emphasis is entirely on their interests. Cars are mostly ex-auction and not fit for retail because they do not put the money into them but yet they charge retail prices. They are not even that cheap and after my experience it is certainly the truth you get what you pay for. I sent in a mechanic to a car that was £31K and found to be missing buttons on the door for opening the windows, cracks in the display dash (an indication of an attempted clocking of the car), mileage that was well in excess of the mileage advertised, missing service history that was advertised as present and just a generally unpleasant engagement with the staff. On top of this they insist on hidden admin fees, poorly run garages hide admin fees to make their cars look cheaper but they are trying to fool the customer. Honestly a really poor waste of time and money dealing with this garage. I didn't buy and I won't be back

Do not believe a word they say
Do not believe a word they say , I am shocked by the level of lies and underhand tactics. Read the reviews below, sadly I didn’t in time to stop me believing what I had been told and making a mistake.
My advice , don’t fall for the lies , if you do you have a high chance of huge problems, and if you complain they will get very nasty.
You have been warned !

Bunch of crooks
Bunch of crooks. Like many other people on this thread, motor4u outbid the other dealers on motorway.com, only for them to knock you down when they come to inspect the car!! They offered almost £2,000 LESS than the estimated price, arguing that the car needed serious body work! Absolutely SHAMBOLIC! If I could give -5 stars, I would have gladly done so! Seriously unprofessional and inconsiderate ! Please for your own sanity ... NEVER accept any offer from motor4u when it comes to selling your car. You have better chances flying to the moon with NASA than getting a good offer from them!!

LIES, LIES and more LIES
I've had the displeasure of buying a used battery electric car from Motor4u this May. If possible, I would give 0 stars for my experience. Unfortunately, they were the only dealer within a 100-mile radius that had the car we wanted in the trim and color we desired. If you have other options, steer clear of them.
The entire sales experience was riddled with lies, deceit, ridicule, and broken promises. Honestly, the customer service we received was the worst I've ever experienced. I've bought multiple used cars from various places in different countries, and none of my experiences were as terrible as this.
We scheduled a test drive for the car we wanted on a Friday before a bank holiday. Kash was our "assigned" sales rep. He greeted us, and we went out to the car. As an engineer with a hobby in electric cars, I know a lot about electric vehicles and systems. The pseudoscientific nonsense that Kash presented was just bad. If you are selling electric cars, at least learn the basics, which he apparently hadn't. I had to hold back from laughing at some of his statements.
Before even starting our test drive, the lies began. I inquired why the car didn't have a valid MOT, and he claimed it wasn't required in the first three years, as the car's manufacture date was still within this period. That was lie number one. The car had been listed since September 2023, and its MOT expired in the same month. The manufacture date was September 2020, as indicated by the VIN and the 70 plate. I didn't call him out, preferring to let him dig himself deeper.
During the test drive, the nonsense continued. He assumed we had never driven an electric car before, which was far from the truth. I am a big electric car enthusiast and have driven multiple electric vehicles, including a Model S Ludicrous. This car paled in comparison in terms of performance but was exactly what we needed. He repeatedly told me to get on the throttle and then criticized my driving, thinking he was funny. He covered the reversing camera when we were turning around, a feature I wanted to test. I had to call him out on it multiple times before he stopped.
Back at the dealership, the lies continued. He claimed there were four people lined up to look at the car over the weekend, despite it sitting there for nine months. He boasted about their coffee, which was undrinkable. He also said they don't hold cars for more than three weeks, which was untrue.
I didn't haggle on the price since it was right and the exact car we wanted. Instead, I negotiated on the delivery time. Despite his promises, the car wasn't ready by the agreed date. He had assured us it would be ready by Thursday, fully cleaned and with a 100% charge (which I paid £20 for). He also promised updates on Saturday and Tuesday, which never happened.
On Tuesday afternoon, I called the dealership, and they said he was out with a customer but left a note for him to call us back. He didn't. On Wednesday, I called again, and they told me the car looked ready. Thursday morning, he asked if we could collect the car next Thursday, which was absurd. He reluctantly agreed to arrange delivery that day at 4:15. When we showed up, he stalled and lied while dealing with other customers. Finally, he argued with me about the delivery timing and told my wife I was being pushy, as if she would side with him. She called him out, reminding him he originally said the delivery might be Tuesday or Thursday at the latest.
He claimed the delay was due to balancing the battery cells, another lie. Checking cell-level voltage doesn't require unbolting the battery. He couldn't provide a detailed cell-level battery report, confirming his lie. He also lied about the car's charge level. First, he said it was at 70%, then 20%, and finally, it had only 4% when I checked, barely enough to reach the nearest public charging point. He promised to reimburse us for the public charging cost, which I never received. Despite all this, he tarnished their reputation over £20.
Avoid Motor4u at all costs. The lies, deceit, and poor customer service make them a dealership to steer clear of.

Add the following hidden fees before…
Add the following hidden fees before considering their "low" prices:
1. £300 admin, although admittedly this is on their website, but hard to find. Why not just include it in the price?
2. "£300 inspection and servicing fee" will be carried out over 8 days while you wait for it to be delivered for some reason.
3. "£500 mandatory 1 year warranty, because it's an EV" again include this in the price if it's mandatory.
And finally the car was so scratched and dented it should have been mentioned in the advert. The general staff attitude was negative too suggesting they know full well it's all con. Wasted trip.

Not an honest company
I brought a tesla model 3 from motors 4 u start of last month, I paid a deposit over the phone for the vehicle and was told would be ready for collection after 8 days. There was a few problems with the vehicle of which I could see on the photos on the auto trader ad, these were a battery issue and condensation in the rear light. After finally getting the go ahead to collect the car I booked in the train tickets. Bearing in mind I was 210 miles away from home I wanted a defects video showing me what was on the car before collecting. The video wasn’t clear but I could see that the car was fairly straight and no major defects on there. On the video I was also reassured that the rear light would be repaired and also the battery issue was rectified, I was then told nothing further about the car I dealt with Taj throughout all of this.
As far as I know it was all ready to collect so I made the journey down on the 10th of May. Insuring the car beforehand through my motor trade policy, I didn’t test drive the car and had a quick walk around of it. I realise the rear light hasn’t been repaired but was assured it was sorted just need to wait for the condensation to go, still to this day it hasn’t.
I then went into the office and paid for the car in full, then soon as all the paperwork was sorted I went to drive the vehicle away, soon as I got in the car I realised a crack in the windscreen, which I haven’t been told about at all throughout the purchase of the vehicle. I was obviously very annoyed that this was the situation as if I have known this before I wouldn’t of travelled so far and brought this one if I had to purchase another windscreen. The response from Taj was ‘it was filled in and barely noticeable before and it must have gotten worse’ I understand how this could possibly be the case but there is no reason to not be honest with me especially travelling so far. I was reassured that I would be compensated to rectify this issue. I have now been chasing Taj and the service manager since the 10th to rectify this issue and no result.
Also now I have a problem with the control arm on the car which has to also be replaced at my own cost. I see no point in buying from a car dealer if I am to be treated like this
I would do every due diligence you possibly can with these guys because they will have you over!!

5* SERVICE, LOTS OF CHOICE, EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
I recently had the pleasure of purchasing a vehicle from Motor4U, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. From the moment I stepped into the dealership, I was greeted warmly by the staff, who were genuinely interested in helping me find the right car.
The sales team at Motor4U is incredibly knowledgeable and professional. They took the time to understand my needs and preferences, offering valuable insights and advice without any pressure. I appreciated their transparency throughout the entire process, providing detailed information about each vehicle's history and condition.
The inventory at Motor4U is impressive, with a wide variety of cars to choose from, all in excellent condition. I found their pricing to be fair and competitive, and they were more than willing to work with me to find a financing option that suited my budget.
What stood out the most was the level of customer service. The team went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and confident in my purchase. They answered all my questions patiently and provided ongoing support even after the sale was completed.
Overall, my experience with Motor4U was exceptional. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a used car. Their commitment to quality, honesty, and customer satisfaction is truly commendable. Thank you, Motor4U, for making my car-buying experience smooth and enjoyable!

Don't do business with this Car Dealer
I wish I had checked out the reviews first.
Total waste of time.
I rung them about a car last week and was told the car was not at their forecourt yet and I was asked to call next week. Yesterday I checked online and the car was listed as sold, but they kept sending me texts to call them. Today I decided to go there because I only live 5ml away. I saw a car I liked and asked for a px quote. The offer was so ridiculously low and I was told that they don't deal with older cars. And when I pointed out that half of the cars on the forecourt were as old and older then mine, the man didn't know quite what to say. I left disappointed with their attitude.
Time wasters and con men.
On Motorway.com they out bid everyone for my car then showed up and gave me a price £2K less. Wasted my time.
Friendly but sadly dodgy
Friendly but sadly dodgy. Found a lovely range rover for sale here and placed a deposit. Ran a check on the car and despite the car being alledgedly sourced from a Land Rover main dealer, it came up as clocked. The mileage at mid point 2023 being lower than at midpoint 2022. I gave the company two weeks to investigate the discrepancy but alas no straighfoward explanation ever emerged. Instead I was told the online check I did was mistaken. I asked for my deposit to be returned as knowingly selling a clocked car is a crime. Money was returned. I wish them well but treat with extreme circumspection.
Elbows too sharp
They overbid at Motorway and then knock over 10% off when they turn up to inspect the car. Don't accept anything these people tell you
DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!
I bought a Vauxhall Mokka from Motors4U on December 8th after seeing it advertised online.
After paying a deposit the garage carried out an MOT on the car and checked over a number of items. When I purchased the car a salesperson went through a list of checks that they had done, which wasn’t given to me in the paperwork. The garage offered a three month warranty as standard, so I paid extra to extend it to a year, as the garage is 45 miles from where I live and I was assured any repairs needed could be done at a local garage under that.
On December 20th, twelve days after I bought the car, a warning light came on in the car. I called the warranty company who advised me that I needed a mechanic to run a diagnostics test on it. On December 21st the mechanic looked under the bonnet, there was no coolant in the coolant tank. He ran the diagnostics and advised me that driving the car could cause more damage to it. So just before Christmas, when my work gets very busy from 24th to 25th, I had no car.
Motors4U said to return it to them for repair. They did not cover the £150 towing fee as they expected me to have breakdown insurance, which I did, but I didn’t have home start and my breakdown cover would only tow me ten miles.
When I picked it up on January 19th, I was assured that the coolant issue has been fixed, but then my car overheated just 8 days later! Once again, the coolant tank was completely empty.
I asked my local garage to check over the car and was given a quote for what needed doing, when I sent it to Motors4U they said that none of it was urgent and that they could do it cheaper.
The warranty company have paid for some ofissues needing repair, judging the rest to be “wear and tear” caused by less than thirty days use of the car by me.
I am now down at least £1300 (which is what they gave me for my old car), less than four months from buying the car, on tyres, suspension, screen wash tank/pipe and other problems that should have been fixed prior to sale.
Despite a really positive experience buying it at the showroom, I would not recommend this car dealer at all based on my experience.
Selling unroadworthy cars
Tried to sell me a vxr with tyre cords showing, head gasket gone, paint all over the boot, blow in the manifold and pouring out with oil so much the car had no oil in it. Drove 4 hours after the advert said only 1 problem none of what the actual issues are. Was prepared to let me drive off the forecourt with a young child in the car in a car which wasn’t fit for the road. Luckily we gave the car a good inspection before purchasing. Saleman did mention the risk of driving it back due to the turbo (which by the way isn’t the issue) but not that it’s illegal to drive on the road due to the tyres then when I arrived he told me he advised it being recovered. Never mentioned that when I told him I was driving it back all that way. Didn’t even offer to make it legal before we brought it. Absolute joke of a place. Wish I checked the reviews before I wasted a whole day.
Be aware of scams and STAY AWAY
Be aware of scams and STAY AWAY.
A few weeks ago, I purchased a BMW car from this company. I picked it up on a Saturday, and they insisted that I write a 5-star Google review right in front of them. In exchange, they offered 1 year of free roadside assistance. However, they stated that unless they witnessed the review being published, they would not provide the roadside assistance, which turned out to be a dubious, unregulated service, not overseen by the UK's Financial Conduct Authority.
By the next day, Sunday, fault messages began appearing on the dashboard, including alerts for "service is due," "engine oil is low," and "tyre pressure low." Despite assurances from the sales agent before the purchase that a full service and health check would be conducted, it appears they were not. They also falsely sold me a so-called 2-year warranty, claiming that BMW garages would accept it, which was later found to be untrue. Furthermore, despite my explicit requests, they continually misgendered me as "sir," displaying a level of transphobia that deeply upset me. Consequently, I filed a formal complaint and contacted them by phone.
Initially, the company director, Sheik Reaz Hassan, was apologetic and promised to address each issue raised in my complaint and to follow up with me. However, he suddenly ceased all communication as if no promises had been made. This deceit is alarming. I am currently preparing a legal case against these scammers in the County Court. Be aware and stay away.
