Tabcat is not only a great device to find your cat but also a great way to train them to come home. If my cat has been out too long, I simply go outside, buzz him a couple of times and he comes bounding over the fence (mostly, he is a cat after all!). The only down side I have found with the device is that it's hard to change the battery as the parts are so delicate.

My cat went out as usual one Sunday morning. 5 hours later she hadn’t come home. I searched the neighborhood with the Tabcat Handset. No luck, so I expanded the search to a block from home, I got a weak “beep”. I walked up someone’s driveway and the signal got a little stronger. Then I walked around outside the garage. The signal was no stronger but it was there. I knocked on the door and the owner came out and let me in the garage. We called and called but no cat. But the weak signal was still there. No one believed she was in there. They said the unit was malfunctioning. Spent the night worrying where she was. Next morning brought treats to the same neighbors and asked to be let back in the garage. To my surprise, there was cat poop right in the middle of the floor. She WAS in there. Eventually she came out. I might not have found her for days if it wasn’t for the Tabcat!

My boy is a bit of a wanderer and will not come home when called so I invested in a Tabcat tracker to end my frustration and constant worrying of where he hiding around the neighborhood. With the tracker I have discovered that he frequents the neighbor's 2 doors down and is daily in their yard sleeping and chasing mice in the afternoon and evening when he should be home.
All I have to do now is point the tracker in the direction of my neighbor's house and if I pick up a signal I know that is where he is. If I get no signal it is time to wander down the street and 99% of the time I pick up a signal from the footpath and call him and he comes running.

I purchased my Tracker on the 27/03/2019 and I still use it on a daily basis to make sure my boy is close by.

My 1 year old cat went missing for about 4 hours, and didn’t respond to calls at all.
I used tabcat to locate her rough location, and kept an eye on where she was. After another hour and the tracker indicated she hadn’t moved so it was clear she was either trapped or injured.
I knocked on my neighbours door (as that’s where the tracker indicated she was) and she was inside his house, had been sitting and watching out the window for several hours apparently!!
Thankfully she wasn’t really lost, but I was reassured that the tracker works and if she was lost locally I would be able to use it and find her.

expensive for 4 cats, collars are cumbersome on existing lightweight quick release collars so often come off but can find collar and not necessarily cat. the receiver and collar and both randomly bleep confusing tracking. i emailed tabcat 2 months ago to get advice on batteries never bothered to contact me back. yo have to be within reasonable distance and clearish line of sight for it to work but ok when roughly near, collar could be louder as struggle to hear or see flashing as it works under cats chin. overall not sure i would recommend but better than nothing at all

This saved my cat! He was out for a while and I tracked him to a vacant house that was completely closed up. I could not find him outside, but I found an unlocked door and went inside to check. I finally tracked him to inside an air duct in the basement!! I have no idea how he got into the house or the duct work. I would not found him without the tracker, and he may have been stuck in that house indefinitely or worse. Thank you tab cat!!!

Feral Cats roam. And sometimes you wonder where they are. You can't find cats if they don't want you to find them.
I've had numerous (too many to mention) that got locked in a garage, an abandoned house, or even a car! I've lost more collars with TabCat than I can count because when they get in a fight the collar gets pulled off. Who knows where THEY were. Luckily they returned and a popped a new one on. Many I've found when looking for another cat. But I almost always find the TabCat. Sooo much better than the Airtag product. With Airtag you need to be right next to the cat (35 feet) but I can find my guys a block away. I love these things and have been using them for 10 years!

We succesfully trained our cat Bailey to come home when she hears the tabcat beeping. Our walks through the neighbourhood with the remote control probably make the neighbours wonder 😅, but it works every time! Bailey comes running towards us like a little puppy as soon as she hears the sound. Definitely recommend the tabcat for our precious cat! Works better than any other device.

So I’ve lost my cats over the years in sheds all different places even in a locked house that we tracked her to with loc8tor plus and when they lose there collars with the lozenge tabs on it is easy to find them in my neighbour's gardens even from a distance of over 400mts

I have used these trackers for the past 11 years, I have 8 cats and each one wares one of these trackers, they have been wonderful in their reliability, and I throughly recommend them, they are not the cheapest, but they are excellent

Had these trackers already for a few years and they have helped me find my cat a few times. More recently I moved house and purchased more for my older cats to wear. More recently my oldest cat went out and didn't come home that night, totally out of character. Spent the next few days searching with the base unit hoping for just a beep and got none until a day or so later I widened my search and finally got a beep on the receiver. I then explored further and he appeared out of his hiding spot and I was able to get him home. There is not a doubt in my mind without this tracker I wouldn't have found him.

Bought the Tabcat V2 with 2 trackers.
Idea is good but the reception range for the handheld tracker is very very bad! 2-3 meters free sight if lucky..(with the batteries that came with them and a couple of new ones too) so if i can see the cat. it's probably not going to pick it up anyway. Maybe it's just my handset but that should have been spotted in quality control.

One tracker got lost somewhere out in my yard and i can't even find it in a very limited area. can't even bother to try to find it anymore since if it would have been on the cat. well..

The trackers start beeping maybe 20m away from the receiver. but the receiver shows nothing until i'm right next to the tabs. also the handset turn of super fast and it makes tracking even harder since you can't be sure its actually trying to track or have turned off. and since the reception is so bad. you need to cover alot of area. all these things make the tabcat useless for me and money not well spent.

Edit: well. both trackers are gone now. one lost in the garden somewhere. and one on a cat. It would have been great with a working tracker to find him but i'll probably never see him again. i have no more use of the tabcat now.

If I could leave no stars I would. Absolutely appalling customer service. Absolutely appalling quality of the item. I had my tabcat for less than 3 weeks when the handset stopped working. I asked for advice online and was advised to change the battery in the handset, which I attempted to do. The (correct) battery wouldn't fit in comfortably and wouldn't allow the handset to work so I returned the item for a refund under the 30 day money back guarantee. They ignored this and sent me a replacement. I queried this and they then decided that I had damaged the handset and that the replacement was a 'gesture of goodwill'!!! I am now over £100 out of pocket with delivery and return postage charges and the cost of the replacement battery (which I sent to them to prove I bought the correct battery) and they are now refusing to refund in full. AVOID.

“Mytabcat” is a trading name run by LOC8TOR LIMITED.
I purchased a Loc8tor “Tabcat” for a price of paid £95.98., delivered to me on Monday 12th October 2022. Unfortunately, it had a faulty "Tag" which I returned on 17th October 2022 and requested a replacement. I have had no response to my complaint including my email to their principal director.
My experience is that the real effective range in a suburban environment is no more than 50 meters. The range may extend to 182 meters if your cat is “lost” in the middle of a cricket field.
I know that the construction of the “Tag” delivered to me was very flimsy. Following instructions from “Mytabcat,” I opened the faulty tag and it fell to bits. I cannot see it could be possible to replace the batteries because the tag is so poorly constructed. Where is their QUALITY CONTROL?
My recommendation is to avoid this company because they have dubious service & product.

I have to update my previous review… Once Tabcat did respond, they were more than helpful and everything was resolved. One of my issues turned out to be my own stupidity and I can only apologize to Tabcat for this. They did have a problem with their phone lines at the time, which does explain the lack of response. Thank you, Tabcat, and I do like their product.

Bonjour , depuis le 16 mai 2022 j’ attends toujours ma commande n 83047 , je ne comprends pas ce délai , sur votre site, vous indiquiez entre 5 et 10 jours de délai de livraison.
A ce jour le 15 juin je n’ai rien reçu, comment cela se fait - il ?

AVOID!! Appalling customer service. In their eyes, the customer is wrong and they try to wriggle out of any responsibility. I had to pay for my own return of a faulty tag. They won’t agree to refund me for returning the faulty item! Been dealing with customer service who will not respond to my emails asking about the refund. The tag I received had already been opened and clearly used! But now they’re saying the tag is fine! Of course, they deny that they resell and repost any returned faulty goods. They NEVER answer the phone. It’s set to a permanent “busy, call later” message. I’ve reported their dodgy activities to the Ombudsman so it will be investigated…. Only thing is, how many others will fall foul of their horrific “customer service” in the meantime before they’re properly investigated.

The tracking device is ok but they have have not had any stock since August! A message on their website states they won’t have any new stock until December! This is
ridiculous. I realise there’s an issue with HGV drivers and I’ve had to wait several weeks for some products I’ve ordered online recently but having to wait 4 months is awful. What a way to run a business! And you can’t get stock on Amazon, eBay or any other website either. I notice that the company reply to very few messages on here which is also bad
What is going on Tabcat?

I have been using this product for 7-8 years now. The Loc8tor was a much better and stronger product than the Tabcat. The Tabcat is very flimsy and half the tags have issues from day one. One of the tags did last over 3 years but when I changed the battery, the tab gave out 2 beeps and just won't work. The product really works very well when it works, but I wish it were better designed and had better QC before sending out to customers.

The Product itself isn't bad, although the silicon cases that prevent the tabs from falling apart do not last.

But over the last couple of years, they've had frequent supply problems (almost everything on their website is currently out of stock now, for example), and when you ask when they'll be getting new stock in, they can never tell you if it will be a few days, weeks, or months.

Customer service is poor.
I recently contacted them to find out whether they had charged me UK VAT or Spanish VAT on my last order (I live in Spain), and to request a proper VAT invoice (the one with the original order does not show the VAT separately), but on the checkout page on the website, it showed that the price included £10.12 estimated Spanish tax.
After a very confusing initial response, in which they said I had been charged "Product Tax", and that the Spanish customs charges were Import Duty (they're not - the receipt clearly shows that Customs charged me VAT), it then took them over a week to send me a proper tax invoice.

The tax invoice shows that NO tax was charged. This means that they are charging UK customers £59.99 INCLUDING VAT (in other words £49.99 ex. VAT), but are charging their overseas customers £59.99 EXCLUDING VAT.

All in all, including Shipping, Spanish VAT, and Customs handling charges, it cost me over £100, of which the VAT and Customs charges were £28.
Since Brexit, I've been wary of buying anything from the UK, but since the Mytabcat checkout page stated that the price *included* Spanish tax, I was not expecting to have to pay VAT and charges to customs.

The company have yet to justify why their ex-VAT price for UK customers is £10 less than the ex-VAT price for non-UK customers.
