Lacking in any substance

I was expecting an in depth medical but the reality is nothing more than you would get at your GP - except the scan for moles. They were running late - despite warnings that if a client is late they lose their slot - but made up for this for refunding part of the charge. The staff were all very friendly, but I was extremely surprised to have a male doctor (without prior warning) who checked my skin again. I was told I had very high blood pressure, was pre-diabetic and had very high cholesterol but when checked again by the GP, all were normal. I was also asked to book my next appointment there and then, which I declined. I will definitely not be recommending this experience.

Caveat emptor

I signed up a some time ago.
As I recall, when I joined, I was alarmed by their pyramid scheme like "Friends & Family first" whereby the applicant recruits five people to register in order to move up the priority list.
So I opted out off their mailing list at the first opportunity.
Despite opting out I kept on receiving emails from them with no means to unsubscribe.
I would certainly not entrust my health to a company with the above business practices.
As to who the founders are and their political affliations, this is none of my business...

Boycott - nasty

Signed up on the waiting list over a year ago. Heard nothing. Then suddenly started bombarding with emails and text pressurising me to join but with no unsubscribe option. On reading the information on their website more closely, I've discerned there's little more they can do for me than I can get elsewhere through my doctor or pharmacy. As mentioned, there's no unsubscribe option so I had to email support requesting they stop contacting me, who were, to their credit swift to reply (time will tell if they do leave me alone).

Furthermore, one of the founders of the company is Daniel Ek, the Spotify founder who - not content with ripping artists and musicians off for years by paying them peanuts for their music, has now moved on to investing billions into a business (Helsing) which creates AI military drones and weapons used to help the IDF kill kids in Gaza. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I believe they just want yours and 5 of your friends credentials as they ask for it right away. like a lot of other people I've been on the waiting list but have not heard anything i called but they were not interested

Great comfort being professionally treated

I’ve read the hype and so glad I went for the full AI body scan and tests. From the moment I buzzed in there is a total air of professionalism and confidence . Everything is explained in detail by professional unhurried staff. The tests and procedures took about 30 minutes and then you see a doctor straight away to run through the results.
I was called back (free of charge for a more in depth ECG .. again total professionalism by the staff and doctor

Went today and it was terrible at the…

Went today and it was terrible at the Manchester branch the doctor was unhelpful couldn’t answer any of the questions I asked gave the most generic responses and tried to make me book a year in advance for another appointment she was terrible highly recommended everyone to avoid this place like the plague !

BASIC MISLEADING MEDICAL ADVICE

1. Concerns Regarding Professional Conduct and Competence: The consultation and advice received from Dr. V.P. raise significant questions about medical diligence and professional competence.
Dietary recommendations (to avoid butter, fatty foods, and sugar) were made without any discussion of existing dietary habits, medical history, or lifestyle. This advice was wholly inappropriate and demonstrates a lack of even basic clinical inquiry. Omissions indicate a failure to take a proper medical history, violating the fundamental principles of medical assessment and patient care as outlined in the BMA’s Good Medical Practice and the GMC’s standards on patient-centred care were obvious.
2. Misleading “AI Scanning” and Diagnostic Inaccuracy
NEKO claim to offer state-of-the-art AI scanning appears to be no more than smoke and mirrors. The process experienced was superficial, unvalidated, and misleading in its presentation.
Most notably:
• The AI diagnostics reported a blood pressure of 144/88 mm Hg, suggesting hypertension and serious medical intervention?
• Subsequent independent readings by Boots Pharmacy and an NHS GP on 7/11/25 confirmed a healthy 131/85 mm Hg, exposing the clear inaccuracy of the equipment and diagnosis.
The inaccuracy is not a trivial error it is clinically significant and could cause unwarranted anxiety or inappropriate lifestyle or medication changes in patients. Such conduct could amount to medical negligence under UK healthcare law and professional guidance. Furthermore, basic cholesterol readings did not align with those held by GP services, further suggesting data inconsistency and lack of calibration in the diagnostic systems. All tests performed are those undertaken by any GP services for free in the UK.
3. Breach of Radiographic and Ethical Standards
promotional materials describe Neko Health’s imaging process as “comprehensive AI-assisted body scanning,” yet what was delivered amounted to basic blood pressure, heart rate, and optical tests procedures routinely performed by NHS and high street clinics.
An “eye scan,” presented as an advanced AI analysis, was identical to a standard optician’s test. This is misrepresentation and a potential breach of BSR and CQC guidelines, which mandate transparency in diagnostic processes and the use of qualified radiographers or imaging professionals.
It is also concerning that no registered radiographer or medical imaging specialist appeared to be involved in conducting or interpreting scans, a serious violation of the British Society of Radiography’s professional code.
4. Absence of Specialist Oversight and Misuse of GP Roles. The service appears to rely on internal GPs or medical students acting as scanning technicians, with no presented specialist training in radiology, cardiology, or diagnostic imaging other than an ability to use a IPAD. This is deeply troubling. GPs are not qualified radiographers, nor are they authorised to interpret imaging data beyond their clinical competence. The absence of appropriate specialist oversight may constitute a breach of duty of care and a misrepresentation of medical authority.
5. Misdiagnosis, Negligence, and Miscommunication
Further errors in a report presented clearly highlighted a lack of due diligence:
• You referenced a non existent medical illness confirmed and demonstrated poor record-keeping, failure to review patient notes, and dangerous misinformation.
• The Dr's remarks about melanoma risk were made without verifying family history, leading to unnecessary alarm.
Such inaccuracies not only erode trust but represent gross professional negligence. This company needs to be regulated before someone dies.

Neko - Highly Recommend

Very efficient service and because I went to Neko a malignant melanoma was caught at a very early stage. This was on the back of my arm and didn’t even think it was suspicious as I didn’t know it was there. Would highly recommend.

Reassuring and professional

My wife and I booked in at Spitalfields. The reception and ambiance is very “The Prisoner” which I quite liked. There was a slight delay but the staff were very welcoming and highly professional. In particular, when warned that my veins were shot after chemo the nurse immediately called a more experienced colleague to take my blood which she did with no pain or undue fuss. The doctor we saw was very professional and fluent. Overall we were pleased with the experience and signed up for another year.

The people in reception were welcoming

The people in reception were welcoming. The clinical staff were, well, clinical!

The scan was obviously a very comprehensive picture and I was impressed with it. ( But be aware it is a bit odd being in that pod with the bright light, at least I found it so.)
The other tests were exactly the same as I could have at my local GP except in a more swanky environment.
The results were swift. Presented on a screen and explained ( you’ve guessed it- clinically). I had time to discuss the results and ask questions. And also asked to book for a year later follow up TODAY! Special Discount!!

Was it worth it? Would I book again?
Probably not. I don’t live in London and the main difference between what I was offered there and here in Bristol is the body scan. Otherwise everything else is on the NHS and ‘free’.
Also, whilst the results arrived in a heartbeat, I did make my first contact with Neko in September 2024 for a scan that I was finally, and with great privilege, able to book in August 2025 for October. 13 months of anticipation!

So weighing up result speed, I think that might just balance in favour of your local GP!
But I had a nice day up in London as a result.

Disappointing experience given the price

Tests:
The blood test was very basic - similar to the one you get for free at your GP. Other tests weren’t useful, as there’s no previous history to compare against, so they can’t identify any changes. The first scan should be offered free of charge; otherwise, it provides no meaningful information.
I also had concerns about the nurses’ qualifications. After the blood draw, I experienced significant bruising and blood leakage under the skin, which lasted for a week - something I’ve never had before.

Neko Software: Not functioning properly. They sent a link to view test results (active for only 30 days), but I couldn’t access it due to an issue on their end. It’s been three weeks, and the problem still hasn’t been resolved.

Support Team: I contacted support to report that I couldn’t view my results. They said they’d check with their tech team. I followed up several times, but never heard back. It’s now been three weeks with no response.

Contacted me randomly

This company have somehow got a hold of my mobile number despite me never having dealt with them or even knowing who they are. I received a text with a verification code from them for an account I have not made. I tried to contact them via the number on their website and after 5 minutes of the automated voice asking to continue to hold the line, it suddenly switched to them being closed. This happened twice despite their website saying they’re open until 17:00 Mon-Fri. The number provided on here is an incorrect number. I have also tried to block the number they text me from but am unable to do so.

Neko aint it!

I first heard about Neko in November 2024 when my mother thought about working there (she didn't). It sounded like such an innovative health tool that I eagerly joined the waiting list. Silly me, assuming “clients” might actually matter! Fast forward: nearly a year of absolute silence. Unless, of course, you’re a “wellness influencer” with a ring light then the red carpet gets rolled out and you’re in quicker than I can say #ad.

Back in January 2025, I politely emailed for an update and was told, essentially: “Who knows? Time is a social construct anyway. We’ll let you know when we feel like it.” How inspiring! And so I waited. And waited. And waited. But hey at least I got to watch a steady stream of 20-something influencers parade Neko all over social media like it was Willy Wonka’s Golden Ticket! Spoiler: real customers apparently don’t get tickets.

And now October 2025 rolls around, and guess what? Neko bombards me by messaging and emailing me and has suddenly decided that I’m worthy of a booking. How thoughtful! Except by this point, the only thing they’ve proven is that actual paying customers rank somewhere below hashtags and ring lights on their priority list.....

So, my recommendation? If you’re an influencer, congratulations — you’ll love it here. If you’re just a regular person like me with money, integrity, and genuine health concerns, prepare to be treated like the side salad no one ordered! As for me, I’ll spend my cash with a company that doesn’t confuse marketing with medicine.

Highly Recommend

I attend the Marylebone Neko Health centre and was blown away by the service all the way through. The reception team were polite and efficient. My nurse that stayed with me, was delightful and made me feel at ease the entire time.
My doctor was lovely, in depth, patience (I asked so many questions).
All the procedures were simple, non invasive and very telling.
I found out and had confirmed some pretty interesting information about my health and whilst no one wants to walk away from something like this with health issues or concerns, I am grateful I did as this has warranted further investigation and a huge change in the day to day life!
I am glad to have attend Neko Health and paying the cost was nothing but pennies when it come to your health.
The NHS can’t handle even one part of the testing that is done in, you would have to wait 6 months, I waited 30 minutes.
When I booked in, it was 2weeks and given a selection of time to attend.
Highly recommend!

It’s style over substance

It’s style over substance. You’ll show up at a fancy building with futuristic interior design. Blade Runner eat your heart out. But then they basically take bloods and blood pressure. Check eye pressure and take pictures looking for moles. That’s it. There are no ‘invasive’ (read ‘insightful’), tests performed. I thought it might be something like a CAT scan and AI analysis based on that. Wrong. Then they give you a presentation that is tilted towards another booking. If you can get an nhs dr to see you, report a cough and you’ll probably end up with the same level of analysis.

Overall the data collection is Logan's…

Overall the data collection is Logan's Run meets 2001 with the charm of execution by lethal injection.

That aside the staff do their best to inject warmth into a healthcare production line.

The Dr presented my results in a clear manner and took account of what I told him about me.

The blood tests agreed with similar from elsewhere, but the blood pressure seemed too affected by the circumstances.

The only real negative was the initial reception and being made to hang around for 35 minutes before any substantive human interaction.

I'd rate it as excellent value compared to my usual BUPA annual medical and I booked for next year.

I was very disappointed by the booking…

I was very disappointed by the booking process for the Neko Body Scan. The company requires upfront payment of £299 before revealing any available appointment slots- quite unreasonable. They don’t even show which dates or times are available, nor do they clarify whether multiple time slots will be provided for people to choose from after the payment. It’s also unclear whether the booking process can be then canceled if the assigned time slot doesn’t work for you, or if a refund would be issued. This lack of transparency is especially concerning for people living outside London who need to coordinate travel. It's essential to know whether the £299 will be refunded in the case of scheduling conflicts. Straightaway, I contacted their support team for clarification, but they never bothered to respond. Due to this lack of communication and clarity I didn’t proceed as I don’t have £300 to risk losing if the one assigned time doesn’t suit me.

Continual harassment

Continual harassment. I never approached this company, but somehow they got hold of my phone number and have a campaign of harassment to promote their health tests - better to go to your own GP. Ever time I block their number, they use a different number - this is harassment - I would never trust them with my health information lest they sell it.

waiting list blues

The article about Neko in the Guardian sounded great, but having gone onto the waiting list in Sept 2024, I am still waiting to be given an appointment. They indicated I should be end of May 2025 at the latest, but that was seven weeks ago. Are lots of people jumping the queue? It appears waiting lists occur in the private sector too... Taking up any appointment would take a bit of organizing as I am not based in London, so I think I will go elsewhere. I notice that Neko don't appear to reply to reviews left here.
