Great experience with lactation. Learned a lot, insightful tips, and easy to chat with!

I was in tears from breastfeeding pains and about to quit. However, my consultation with Whitney was so helpful! Not only did she give me a wonderful plan and help identify the reasons that could be leading to my pains but she was also so supportive and really validated my struggles and gave such wonderful encouragement. I only wish I made this appointment earlier!

Whitney was incredibly helpful during the weaning process when I got mastitis and didn’t know how to proceed. She was so kind and encouraging, and helped make a plan forward that I felt comfortable and confident in. I would recommend her and Nest to anyone!

The lactation consultant I spoke with, Shelby is absolutely amazing. She made me feel confident expressing my problems and helping me problem solve without making me feel stupid, or being condescending. She was supportive and had amazing suggestions that have greatly helped me improve my supply as well as my pumping experience. I was having trouble keeping up with my daughter and Shelby saved my pumping/breastfeeding journey.

Timely, efficient, practical, helpful

My 10 week old was refusing to take a bottle. We tried multiple different brands, read all the tricks on the internet, and still had no success. I reached out to the Nest Collaborative, booked an appointment that evening, and with my consultant’s advice and recommendation ordered a different bottle and took a new approach to feeding. Within two days my baby was a bottle pro!!

Nest gave me ideas to try at home for breastfeeding to get me over the hump before I could see a lactation consultant in person.

Sara was great. Knowledgeable and friendly. Scheduling is very easy and great to know I can rely on Sara and the rest of the team at Nest Collaborative as a resource.

I had two appointments with the Nest Collaborative and while my first consultant was wonderfully supportive and helpful, the second one unfortunately was not. The first consultant was very empathetic and helped me troubleshoot a variety of issues (latching, pump settings, flange sizing) by giving me lots of strategies to try. The second consultant gave very little in the way of practical suggestions, told me that there was only one way to reach my nursing goal, and made me feel as if I was putting my child in danger by following my pediatrician's guidance. The contrast between my two appointments was quite striking.

As for the platform itself, it's fairly straightforward to use, but there's a lot of steps. The pre-appointment questionnaire took over 15 minutes to fill out. I wish some questions about information that doesn't change were only asked once on an initial form instead of having to fill it out before each appointment (for example, baby's weights at various ages).

I came into this appointment at a really low point in my breastfeeding journey and about to give up. The lactation consultant did not provide me with much encouragement or practical solutions. Instead she pushed medications on me told me I could be dealing with my issues for up to a month. I felt she was not listening to my problems and she could tell I was on the verge of tears. I left the appointment feeling more defeated than when I came into the appointment.

I have met with 2 consultants and both were so kind and caring. They asked questions and gave suggestions and explained everything I had questions about thoroughly. The initial conversation was during a difficult regression period and the second was to follow up to make sure the plan suggested was helpful.

Easy to make appointments, lactation consultants are so knowledgable and friendly, overall a great experience.

The best experience with a care so far in my pregnancy. My consultant was caring, compassionate, knowledgeable and built trust with me immediately.

We love Tanya! She is always cheery and give us the best advice. You can tell she loves what she does and her years of experience shows through in all she does.

Great service and great lactation consultants! Everyone is very knowledgeable and offers great suggestions. The 2 visits before the baby was born were helpful bc they outlined what to expect those first few days. You could set exceptions for what you wanted at the hospital. Then after the baby was born, the visits were helpful bc someone could review the baby’s latch and inside the baby’s mouth to look for any possible issues. The appointments are readily available (same day most times) for any other questions that may arise. I am grateful for this service and believe it will help me achieve my breastfeeding goals!

Great follow up and communication. Highly impressed with the knowledge of the consultants. Very helpful and understanding! Highly recommend Nest. Such an easy experience for busy new (and experienced but new again) moms!
