I started using Newpay back in July and…

I started using Newpay back in July and I think it’s great . I had one issue where for some reason a company charged the order twice but I phoned Newpay and they were great and assured me it would correct itself and if it didn’t I was to phone back and they would sort it manually .

They raised my credit limit from £900 to £1650 last month and overall I’m really pleased with their service 😊

Don't use them

Don't use them ..
I use them for a transport item and had the item for a year thinking that I have pay a small portion off and just not long check and haven't even payed abit off there Interest rates are stupid e.g pay 50 pound they add 35 in interest please keep away

zero protection around transactions from this company

I've used NP a few times to purchase things and everything has gone fine, however, recently a company took a second payment (for the exact same amount as the first original order i did authorize) without my consent. so i've been charged £160 twice, for an order i only placed once. i returned the items the next day after receiving them and it seems the company have only refunded me £3?? its very difficult to speak to someone at the company i ordered from and when i called NP for help/dispute today they told me that my transaction was not covered by mastercard, but instead themselves, and they do not have any customer protection for this scenario, they have 0 ability to claim back/dispute/cancel or challenge any transactions. for a company providing credit agreements this is extremely concerning and baffling to me how this is legal and acceptable. i was told to contact the merchant that took this payment twice or contact the financial ombudsman, so 0 support for anyone in a fraudulent or financial situation that is not of their control. This is appauling, i will not be using NP after this has been/hopefully has been, sorted out, by myself obviously as they don't want anything to do with it.

It doesn't work

It doesn't work,
I created an account, and I'm not able to log in, tried the mobile app, but it doesn't work, tried their website it doesn't work, and there's no way to log in.

When calling them, they ask for a client number, what client number if they don't send you one when creating the account?
Lastly when I try to pay indicates that the basket is empty.
Total waste of time.

Newpay can't understand/answer simple questions

I never got past the application stage. I was accepted for credit so I emailed Newpays support with a question around the interest terms (see below). Newpay said this was a question for the retailer and to contact them (which I thought was odd but went ahead and did). The retailer said that Newpay support was mistaken and I needed to ask them. I lost all confidence in Newpay at that point when their support couldn't even understand/answer a simple question.

Pay 14.9%interest over 24 or 36 months

Would that still allow me to pay off the total in 6 months and pay 0% interest?

I would have to ask you to contact the merchant you made your purchase from.

They deal directly with any queries relating to your credit agreement including amending or cancelling your credit agreement, deliveries, goods/service enquiries and other general queries.

You can find the contact details for your merchant on their web site. The merchant may have also sent you an email containing contact details. If you have not received any emails, please check your spam/junk mail folders.

A known software issue meant my online…

A known software issue meant my online account can’t be set up. And they know about it but can’t fix it. Keep getting emails to use my app account which can’t be set up. Utterly useless and zero thought about customer service.

Issues now sorted

Easy to apply. Then it all ends there. App doesn't work can't register can't log in can't do diddly squat. Called then numerous times told app is down. It's been 2 weeks and I have returned part of my order and can't see if my account has been adjusted or any information on my account. Not good at all so avoid of you read this as it seems to be a common issue.

No one offers to help in anyway

Account now accessible so review changed. Only fair as the issue is sorted now. Thankyou

Invited to leave a review so here goes. Avoid. Applying was easy anything after is hard work. An app that I can't join so can't view anything. Calls made with just being told app is down we are working on it. A return sent back that has been received by the retailer and no way of knowing if balance has been adjusted. Tried to log in register and nothing tried everyday for 2 weeks deleting and re installing. Stay well clear folks as if they can't get the App to work what else goes wrong. Hidden away from viewing your account at all times

I really don’t know where to start with…

I really don’t know where to start with this company, thought my account was set up but when I checked on my order a few days later it was cancelled due to my account not being registered!! Was told the only way to do this was to reapply or go to the investigation team!! So the fact you have a username, address, email, PIN number & receive emails confirming your account you are in fact NOT registered?? Easier to cancel the account & go elsewhere. Total waste of time. BE AWARE though this stays ON your credit file for 90 days even though you haven’t borrowed any money or registered an account!!!

Shocking!

Shocking!! Tried to pay for my purchase using this company. The system crashed and my order is stuck in limbo. When you call customer service they say they can see my contract but no one knows how i can log back in to finish my contract. They have no tech support and i am just told "i dont know what else to suggest" so i now have a mark against my credit file but with no product. They dont even have an email address to contact them. Absoultley useless. Find a more established company and save the hassle.

Look fantastic have refunded my order Newpay have not and will not sort my refund out so I still owe the money!! Not happy!!

Recently ordered using this company.The merchant sent a refund on 20th April and Newpay still haven’t located the money.I’m paying 27 pound a month interest charges for nothing and they seem to have lost the refund.Never heard of anything like this before.Warning do not use Newpay they give you nothing but High blood pressure.Warned them I’ll be getting in touch with trading standards.
