HEED OUR WARNING - AVOID AVOID AVOID
Moronically, I failed to check uktrustpilot prior to placing our order with NC&L (something I almost never do). Had I done so, I would not be here writing this review as I would have avoided this company altogether. DPD has delivered the parcel to a stranger at a different address. NC&L have essentially left it to me to chase to somehow get the parcel retrieved from the stranger and delivered correctly to us. The concept of customer service is alien to this company - they could not care less if they tried. Kicking myself for having been so stupid as to not avoid this company. Be warned. We will absolutely be taking it further.

I ordered an awning kit that was showing as in stock and had express delivery option. Phoned next day to confirm that it would arrive in time and was told it would be with me by Thursday. Later that afternoon I had an email saying it was still at customs and was due to them any day. When I called to question what was going on I was given no apology and told that he would look into it and get back to me. Lunchtime I received an email saying it was still at customs and they would let me know when they knew more. I called at the end of the day to chase as it was due the next day and was told they didn’t know any more and hadn’t I read the email. I said I had but I was expecting it the next day as I was going away and was planning on using it. Still no apology and was told that they would let me know when it arrived. Why advertise in stock when it is not and take payment for express delivery. I will be sticking to Attwoolls in future who always give great customer service. Unfortunately they don’t stock this item.

Ordered a windbreak and some camping chairs from Newquay camping and was in possession of the goods in less than 30 hours. Excellent service. The Vango Titan 2 chairs are really comfortable and the Dometic windbreak looks great but not used yet. All in all a brilliant shopping experience.

Bought a Vango awning for my camper van and arrived within 24 hours or getting it, haven't used the item yet, but the service was great and website super easy.
Avoid this sop at all costs
Bought an awning from this shop online as they had competitive prices and could offer quick delivery, sounds great right? As soon as we put the awning up it just fell apart, guy lines ripping off, pole supports breaking, safe to say I wasn’t impressed. I contacted NCaL straight away and explained the issue and that I was asking for a full refund as the product wasn’t fit for purpose. The communication I’ve had between NCaL and myself has been appalling, zero help in trying to resolve this issue, not a care that a product they’ve sold has broken. If you’re reading these reviews (there’s a lot of them) and thinking it can’t be as bad as it seems trust me IT IS. Avoid this shop at all costs.
STAY AWAY, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Ordered from them online as they were the cheapest retailer for the tent carpet I wanted. Well what a terrible experience. Basically the carpet never arrived. The tracking with DPD said they had received details but the parcel had not been received. Gave it one week but still nothing so called the store. Was told that they would investigate and give me a call back by the end of the day. Nothing. So called again the following morning to be told they were waiting to hear back from DPD as the package had been sent to them and that they would call back. Again nothing so I called back to be told that DPD had the parcel and were going to send it. Then to my surprise this morning a one line email to say DPD have lost the parcel, it was the last one so they are refunding me. Terrible customer experience, stay away from using this company. Let's see how long it takes them to send my refund...
Bought a 5 pole blue diamond…
Bought a 5 pole blue diamond windbreaker in blue stripes it broke on the first use , one of the poles snapped off on the point , the clips that hold the fabric in place also were missing and the windbreak bag was broken on the bottom , my own fault for not checking in the shop However I think mine was a return that had been put back out , the guys in the shop were great but the product is crap I’m
Probably going to bin it as by the time I pay for return postage and the hassle it’s not worth it. Forty two pounds down the drain will stick to the olpro windbreaks thicker poles much better material and will Last a lot longer.

Brought a camp star outdoor revolution…
Brought a camp star outdoor revolution tent for just under a £1000 and it’s completely soaked the inside not waterproof at all and all they had to say was your out of warrenty so unlucky so we’ve contacted outdoor revolution direct and hopefully they can help if not they’ll be getting a review also , 100% stay away from outdoor revolution and DO NOT BUY from Newquay camping shop !!!!!

We purchased a tent from this company direct & spent an absolute fortune with them spoke to the owner of the shop direct & the lack of customer service is ridiculous! Selling faulty items, tents etc at stupid prices & not willing to take accountability for ANY faulty items yet happy to sell you them! Stay Clear
Faulty strobe lights and no response
I ordered some strobe lights for £47. When I went to use them a couple of months later, I found a tear in them which prevented half of them from working. I emailed them twice, however I have received no reply. £47 down the pan. Won't be using them again :( very disappointed.
Great prices and speedy service
Bought a Vango Comfort 7.5 double self inflating mat. It arrived very quickly and well packaged.
It turned out to be bulkier than expected and seemed nearer 7kg in weight compared to the 5.47kg that Vango suggests - clearly none of this was the fault of Newquay Camping.
I returned the item and a partial refund was immediately issued. Unfortunately the person making the refund did not realise that since I paid the return carriage, the law requires that the carriage I paid to receive the goods must also be repaid. After a couple of emails the problem was resolved and the full refund returned via PayPal.
Apart from this minor hitch everything went very smoothly and I would not hesitate to recommend Newquay Camping and Leisure for their very competitive prices and speedy service.
Misleading advertising with wrong image and name
Ordered what was advertised as a safari chef 2. Paid extra for what I thought was going to be an upgraded version to be sent the original product.
Was told its name has been changed and theres no such item.
Not sure why they advertise it as a 2 if it doesn't exist.
The photo they used to advertise was a different product, this has since been changed after my complaint so they clearly know it was misleading
I returned it at my own cost as they refused to pay it. Would avoid at all cost as customer service is awful. Tried to settle the issue as civil as possible over email but has come to this unfortunately.
First class service
The staff in NC&L have helped us many times. They are always knowledgeable and polite.
For a near-monopoly in Newquay, their prices are always very reasonable.

groundsheet not arrived
Ordered a groundsheet. Received an email with tracking details saying it would be shipped in 1-3 working days. That was weeks ago. The website address is in the uk and says get in contact if any issues. I have emailed twice with no response and my credit card has been charged a fee for using international currency! Still not received the item

Item I ordered was fine. I paid for 24 hour delivery but the item took 12 days to arrive, 2 days after I had left for the camping trip I ordered the item for.
Dont trust this Place...
Dont trust this Place.... they sell dangerous gas appliances - ive lost all the hair on my arm and face due to it blowing up and they claim the gas canister was installed incorrectly... If you knew anything about "safe" gas appliances you would know the door is not supposed to close if the gas is installed incorrectly and it certainly shouldnt light so your talking rubbish. He then refused to refund us so avoid like the plague. Im sure he will be along with some snidey response shortly as i told them this review would be left. He eventually agreed to hold onto the heater and see if he could gain his money back from his supplier so all about not loosing his pennies and nothing about his customer safety or respect as a retailer. We wait with baited breath to see if we get that refund. if i do ill change the review if your still reading this he left us with a dangerous appliance.
