Really bad company to sign for gadget insurance you will put yourself through.
I signed in, attempted to cancel within a 14 period. Website isnt very clear and when tried to cancel the only option was opt out, me thinking I was cancelling within a 14 day period. received an email confirming this. past forward a month get an email saying my account is in arrears, there was no cancelation actioned. to cancel a policy have to pay 10£ to cancel fee + 90£. completely robbed by this scammer company . will never use them again, will never recommend them ever again. AVOID AVOID AVOID

On Saturday 11 April, my car blew an oil seal on the motorway. I got a low‑oil‑pressure warning and managed to pull over before the engine was damaged. I called Nova and waited 30 minutes before being cut off, then another 40 minutes to get through. The staff member I finally reached was rude, uninterested, and difficult to hear because her headset barely worked.
After explaining the fault, she told me it was “customer liability” and that because the car could still move, I wasn’t covered.
She said I could claim only £50 for recovery — nowhere near the actual cost — and even tried to get me to say I was refusing help, when they weren’t offering any. She refused to let me speak to a manager and couldn’t explain why I wasn’t covered. Then she hung up.
A manager called me on Monday 13 April, and her attitude was just as rude and unhelpful. She still couldn’t explain the policy properly. At this point it’s clear this behaviour is normal for the company.
Avoid Nova at all costs. Choose a provider that actually cares about its customers.
I now know my car had a blown gasket on the side of the Camshaft, which is a very unusual thing to happen, oil would not stay in there for very long, Nova stated that my car was drivable, if I had driven it the engine would have been destroyed, so essentially if I had driven the car until I had damaged it beyond repair only then would they have allowed a recovery vehicle to pick me up.
IT is not breakdown recovery at all, it is minimal assistance and a a poor attitude, having seen how they responded to other complaints, it tells you all you need to know about them, i will be following this up with the ombudsman
I am extremely disappointed with . I have been a loyal customer for over 3 years and had my breakdown policy set to auto-renew. Today, when my car broke down on the M6 and I urgently needed assistance, I was told that my policy had expired on 12th March 2026.
This is completely unacceptable. After years of paying and never making a single claim, the one time I actually needed help, I was let down. If the policy was set to auto-renew, why was it not renewed? It feels like they are happy to take money but fail to provide support when it truly matters.
I will never recommend this company to anyone. Please think carefully before trusting them.

A £9.98 cancellation fee for a policy that doesn’t even start for another 20 days? Ok, that’s a rip off! I wouldn’t have written a review at all if it wasn’t for that.
Any company that charges a cancellation for a policy they haven’t even started yet, well within a cooling off period, have no direct customer service line, and only open for 3 hours on a Saturday are con artists. AVOID!
