Loved being seen by Fred. I was seen pretty quickly. Got many different eye tests. Got everything explained and what type of surgery would benefit my personal needs. Got answers to all my questions including the financial bits. Now I can’t wait to get it all done!!! Thank you Fred!

Had made an appointment got about 3 calls confirming my attendance which I did each time. Then the day before my appointment without any consultation I was informed I needed lens correction that would cost in excess for 8k. Therefore I cancelled the appointment there and then

I rang on several occasions to make an appointment. I sent in the report I got from my optician. Optilase were to get back to me. After a number of efforts I gave up.

Great aftercare and excellent communication

Katie was very friendly, answered any questions I had explained the treatment I would need and also told me to write down any questions I might have for the surgeon.Because of a family wedding I could change dates for my surgery to suit me given me four dates to choose from.

Excellent specialist with great information relating to tests and follow up advice

The website prices are incredibly misleading. The lady I had my consultation with made me feel like I was almost an inconvenience to her by being there.

My consultation was based in cork with the wonderful dan. I was nervous before this but as soon as I met him he made me feel so at ease. Dan explained everything to me step by step and was so reassuring with any questions I had. I am getting my prk laser done next week and I couldn't be more excited. Five stars for optilase 😀😀😀😀

Was amazing , they make you feel so secure and comfortable and everything was amazing. Everyone is asking about , I work in big shop and all Brazilian is asking where do I get done how was , they got my number to get the name of the clinic and I really recommend it. I can’t wait to see people getting done because I recommend it. And I wish i could know before about the clinic . Best clinic in cork.

Only heard good things about Optilase. When I went to get the procedure everything was explained clearly and the results were amazing. Best thing I ever did.

Close to five years ago, I visited Optilase because I was interested in lens-replacement treatment. At the time, I was told I was not yet eligible and should return in five years. I also recall being advised to obtain a new glasses prescription to possibly explore LASIK suitability, but I never pursued that as I had no interest in LASIK. I was also told that an email had been sent to me regarding this — I have checked thoroughly and found no such email.

Five years later, I returned specifically to revisit lens-replacement options, and the experience was shockingly poor. The same person who attended me previously carried out the consultation again, and their behaviour was so unpleasant and unnecessarily rude that I genuinely considered either challenging them or walking out. I still cannot believe I stayed for the full consultation given how disrespectful the interaction was. It became quite clear that this person was unhappy I had not returned for the glasses trial suggested years ago, and their attitude reflected this.

Frankly, it is shocking that anyone would think they can behave this way toward a patient and still expect that patient to return or proceed with treatment.
As a result, I chose not to undergo any treatment at Optilase. My boyfriend, who had been considering LASIK with your clinic, also decided not to proceed after witnessing the experience.

Because of this, I was effectively forced to research treatment abroad. Ultimately, we both underwent significantly more advanced procedures in London (EuroEyes) for the same overall cost. My boyfriend received SMILE Pro, and I underwent trifocal lens-replacement surgery (vs. Multifocal at Optilase) — both carried out with a far higher standard of professionalism, technology, and patient care.

How fast and easy the process was made it all an easy procedure . Couldn’t recommend enough

Well I went for the test and was given a honest opinion and felt it was trustworthy

I was so nervous on the day of surgery but the staff were amazing, they spoke to me at all times during surgery. The after care was amazing as I had a little bit of discomfort a few days later but this was sorted in no time. Amazing from start to finish and the after care was very comforting.
