I posted an urgent package and paid £9.75 on Thursday morning Guaranteed Delivery 1pm. Still hasn’t arrived! Complete joke of a service.

Waited two days for my parcel to be delivered, first day driver couldn't be bothered to wait for me to get down stairs and just left so second day I waited and waited and when he arrived at my address he drove right pass and then five minutes later I received a email telling me he tried to deliver but couldn't which I find disgusting as they think we can sit around all day and wait, I would never recommend parcel force to anyone as their service is a disgrace and they have no respect for their customers and the reason I gave it a one star is because there is a no star review, 🤬

I have received two consecutive "Something for you" cards, despite being at home and at my desk all day long. Anyway, that's not the point. I followed the instructions and entered the tracking number into the website. The website isn't having it and keeps throwing up error messages. So... the card says "Can't book your redelivery online? Call us on 03457 740 740" So I call the number. Guess what the recorded message tells me? "You can book a redelivery online. Please go to our website"! OK, so website says use phone. Phone says use website. Computer says no. Phone says no. I have literally no way to contact anybody. Kill me now.

Parcel Force put my parcel in my rubbish bin!!
I had placed an online order and had paid an extra £5.99 for it to arrive on Friday the 20th of March, in time for a birthday celebration on the Sunday.
On Friday I could not find the parcel delivered. I contacted the online vendor who sent me a tracking number from Parcel Force. When tracked the number, it showed the parcel as delivered and a photograph of it against a round object, which I assumed to be the wheel of a car. I went around to all my neighbours to see if they had my parcel, none of them did. I spent a day talking and emailing the vendor to try and find out where the parcel was. In the meantime, the birthday celebration had happened and I couldn't give the gift that was intended. On Monday evening my husband took out the weekly rubbish and when he opened the rubbish bin he found the parcel inside! Parcel Force put the parcel inside my rubbish bin, took a photo and decided that it was an acceptable proof of delivery!! The round object behind the parcel was the bottom of the bin! I cannot believe how anyone could contemplate that to leave a parcel in a rubbish bin is acceptable. Parcel Force service is beyond bad, it is a farce. I will never use them to send items and from now on I will check how the parcels that I'm ordering online will be delivered. If it is through them, I will not place the order.
When tracking doesnt track
I have 3 items from Amazon due to be delivered by Royal Mail between 26 and 27 March. Today is 25 March. Amazon referred me to Royal Mail tracking. When I plumbed in each reference, Royal Mail informed me that ‘ An update will only be provided when we attempt to deliver your item’. What is the point of this so-called tracking service?

Absolutely (P o s) 3rd class service. If you want waste your time and money then this is for you. The delivery driver stopped out side of my home then he couldn't find out my parcel and drive off. Few minutes later i have received the e mail by the Royal mail that i missed them? Next day driver didn't turn up. It was so important parcel wich was sent by the company, dont know why these companies using this 💩. Never had problem with DHL fedex or dpd
Very Bad company
For more than 6 years they deliver my letters opened and they always deliver them after 3 weeks from the actual appointment, what this company does in Derry is disgusting to open people's letters.
Unreliable
Drivers are often unreliable, they claim they failed delivery because no one was in, when in fact I was in all day on every single occasion. It seems many of the drivers hired have a terrible work ethos.
Failed Medical Delivery, Misinformation & Zero Accountability
I honestly don’t even know where to begin. This has been one of the most stressful delivery experiences I’ve ever had — and it involved temperature-sensitive medication, which makes it even worse.
I paid for what was advertised as a 48-hour tracked delivery through an online pharmacy. From the moment it was dispatched on Saturday, everything went wrong.
Tracking on the app was inconsistent and barely updated, leaving me with no real idea where my parcel actually was. I had to rely on calling customer service, which is a generic call centre with no real insight.
At one point, I was told my parcel was at Bethnal Green delivery office, so I physically travelled there — only to be told that information was completely wrong. I later found out the parcel was actually elsewhere (Romford/Leyton), which shows a serious lack of internal communication.
I was also told:
I could not collect my parcel until delivery had been attempted twice
A red card would be left (it wasn’t)
Delivery would be reattempted — which never properly happened
Meanwhile, I adjusted my delivery preferences and waited at home until 7:40pm, based on advice from your team, only for nothing to arrive.
This entire situation caused:
Time off work
Travel to the wrong depot
Multiple stressful phone calls
Complete uncertainty around a medical delivery that required temperature control
By the time I am finally able to collect this parcel, the medication will no longer be usable due to being outside safe temperature conditions.
I have been left frustrated, exhausted, and honestly quite upset. I even found myself in tears over how poorly this was handled — and that should never happen over a delivery service.
This wasn’t just a delay — it was misinformation, lack of accountability, and a complete breakdown in service.
For something as important as medical deliveries, this level of service is simply not acceptable.
I would strongly advise others not to rely on this service for anything time-sensitive or important.
ROYAL MAIL SHOULD BE BANNED , Nothing Royal about their Poor Service
This company is honestly a joke . Appalling service , WORST you would ever find . DISGUSTING. It’s shame that the word ROYAL is linked to a company with such a POOR customer service .
There is no way you could contact them , if you would like to contact them by phone the minimum waiting Time is 1 hour and after that your call gets transferred to India , where they no clue of what they talking about . Most of the Time they would be talking rubbish , only if they could be able to find the words to communicate .
Another option to contact them , is to contact them through email , you wouldn’t believe that , once you send them an email , it will come back with automatic reply saying , New emails to this email address are not monitored and your email has not been passed to a member of our team.
So they send you automatic reply shamelessly saying your email is going Nowhere .

Royal never attempt delivery to neighbour even though I request it.
If your not in and many people like me arealone and working you have no chance of receiving your parcel unless to inconvenience yourself by having to trail down to the local depot.
Absolute rubbish should be closed down a long time ago as a company.

24hrs later and it is still logged as 'We're expecting it', seemingly it is gathering dust (or worse) at the Post Office where I submitted it ?
Exasperated by Express48
Paid for Express48 service. Parcel collected from me on Friday morning. Allowing for Saturday as a non-working day, parcel should have arrived by the following Tuesday at latest. Checked tracking details and now not arriving until Wednesday. One day late and, given this is for my work and a new starter to our company expecting equipment, one day late is too late! Sadly, there is no compensation for late delivery with the Express48 service as this has recently (and quietly) been implemented. Let me get this straight: you offer a guaranteed delivery service, don't deliver within the time frame and then don't compensate your customer for breach of contract! Where's the incentive to actually deliver on time? I won't be using Express48 again and unlikely to use Parcelforce either. Other carriers, like DPD, appear to be much more reliable.

Completely HOPELESS. Wouldn't deliver parcel despite my front door being wide open and a note to say please leave parcel inside.
Then didn't read the redelivery instructions to deliver to a Post office, but tried to deliver to my house when I was out. Then calling card did not have address or phone number of the depot it went back too.
Not open/taking calls on Sunday but have heard call system completely hopeless too so I now have that to endure on Monday - deep joy. NOT. Will never use them again. Well done Royal Fail, even worse than Evri.
P.S. It gets worse - Royal Fail emailed me (on the day I was going to drive to their depot to collect it) to say they've returned the parcel to sender as they "have not had instruction from me for 18 days" despite me asking them to redeliver 9 days ago, and this clearly being on their tracking email that it would be delivered, so I was waiting in vain for that phantom redelivery. HOPELESS. Have sent them a complaint but unfortunately I don't expect anything sensible out of them.
I would not give them one star .

Shockingly poor online and over the phone service
In a world of AI assisted toasters, their automated system is an absolute disaster. I tried to rebook a parcel delivery from my home address to a local post office online but the system does not respond and I can't finalise the request. So I tried it through their automated over the phone thing and it almost brought me to tears/breakdown.

I have been waiting over a month for one item and two weeks for three other items. I will ask sellers on sites as to what couriers they use as I will never buy anthing from RM delivery sellers ever again.
