Return policy sucks

After giving serial# from the engine they rushed me my parts happy about that, opened the box and it was the rite prop wrong hub kit, my engine is a mercury figured serial# would said that but the hub kit box clearly says yamaha sho so I called mercury and got the part# and ordered the rite part, so trying to return something at partsvu is like pulling teeth and no one wants to help in that department, they where supposed to send an email with instructions and I was supposed to take pictures of what they sent wrong so they can make sure its still good for them to resale but still waiting on that email not sure how long thats takes, so an awesome place to buy stuff but you need to have the part# of what you want or it will probably be wrong and im not sure you can return what they sent wrong

Part wasn’t what I needed-Updated

Part wasn’t what I needed. Shipped back for refund. Trying calling multiple times to see where my refund is. Their phone queue always says ten minutes and I’m on hold for over an hour and then up getting disconnected. I will be disputing this charge with my bank. Unless rectified I will not be ordering from them again and I do not recommend consumers order from this company.

Update: Even though the hold times were longer than necessary. Their customer service team did rectify and refund the invoice accordingly

I also want to clarify that we do offer several ways to reach us in addition to holding in the phone queue. You are always welcome to email us directly at partsvu@partsvu.com, which is often the fastest way to get an update on refunds and returns. Additionally, when calling in, you can press 0 to request a callback from an agent rather than waiting on hold, and you’re always able to leave a voicemail as well. During peak boating season, these options help us manage higher-than-normal call volume while still ensuring customers are assisted.
To properly look into your refund and provide an accurate update, I will need a bit more information such as your order number or the name and email used on the order. Once I have that, I can locate your return and give you a clear status update right away.
We appreciate your patience and the opportunity to get this resolved.

Gret place to get a deal on what you need

Quick, easy to order, and fair priced.
Great that they run sales often on quantity deals servicing multiple engine set ups.
The points system is a bit odd. Aim a member, but keep getting e mails to join up to get my points after Inplace an order. Odd.

I bought a Mercury stow and go cover…

I bought a Mercury stow and go cover that I used 3 times and the zipper failed. I’ve sent numerous emails and I’m told I have to wait up to 90 days for Mercury to approve a warranty replacement. I also had to send in a serial # for my engine even though it has nothing to do with the cover is like replaced. I would think PartsVu would just send me a new cover since it was within 45 days, but here I wait. Tim

Thank you for reaching out, and we’re sorry to hear about the issue with your Stow and Go cover after such limited use. We completely understand how frustrating a zipper failure can be.

That said, we do want to clarify the process, as this is a manufacturer warranty item. PartsVu is a retailer and does not manufacture Mercury products. Warranty claims are handled directly through Mercury/Brunswick, which is why they require specific product and engine information for verification, even when the accessory itself is not engine-specific.

In this case, once the claim was submitted, it was processed and approved by the manufacturer within just a few days, and the replacement was reshipped shortly thereafter. The replacement has already been delivered to you.

While we understand the expectation of an immediate replacement, warranty timelines are controlled by the manufacturer and not PartsVu. Once approval is granted, we ensure everything moves out as quickly as possible.

We’re sorry again for the inconvenience this caused and appreciate your patience while the warranty process was completed.

It took 13 days to get my parts

It took 13 days to get my parts. They were listed as ‘in stock” but then I got an email saying they had to be shipped from their warehouse. There was no tracking number on the order until it arrived. Some of the parts were not even what I ordered and trying to make a return is a nightmare. No one ever picks up the phone and they are closed on the weekends. What a joke. Buy somewhere else.

Regarding the tracking, once a package leaves our facility, the timing and visibility of tracking updates are controlled by the carrier. While tracking is generated on our end, delays in updates or scans are unfortunately outside of our control. That said, I understand how important that visibility is and we can certainly review what happened in your case.

We can also prioritize your return and ensure you receive either the correct items or a full refund—whichever you prefer.
