Incorrect springs received
we ordered a 21inch spring for our garage door ,but unfortunately we received a 19 inch spring instead. we got on to customer service who promptly sent us out another spring, however again this was not the correct size, a 20 inch spring this time. However, we managed to make the larger of the two springs fit, by using 2 carabiners to bridge the gap.

Thanks for the review, unfortunately your first spring went missing on the carrier, when we resent the one picked from stock was an incorrect size, this was an error from our spring supplier, the stock was checked however and the spring sent out should have been ok. We have supplied these springs for many years and this is the first instance of a spring being shorter. Apologies for the delay and inconvenience.

Excellent customer service from the Henderson team.
I contacted them regarding an issue with a pocket door system and both John and Nigel were extremely helpful throughout. Communication was prompt, they took the time to understand the problem, and they provided clear technical guidance at every stage.
Nigel also attended site to inspect the installation and followed up with a detailed report and recommendations, which gave me a much clearer understanding of what was required to resolve the issue.
It's refreshing to deal with a company that is willing to engage, investigate properly, and support customers when problems arise. A very professional and knowledgeable team.

The pair of springs came promptly but…
The pair of springs came promptly but they were approximately 25mm (3 coils) shorter than the original 1981 dated ones. I was told that was the only length you had made and the "Dolphin Grey" springs seemed to be the match.
This meant that I had to buy longer eye-bolts which I then had to trim as the excess length fouled the bolt tail fixing the door mechanism to the frame.
I did also buy sperical seat (Convex and concave) washers so the rotation around the lower fixing point should be less mechanically demanding.
The tension in the spring is different than the original ones so the door operation is slightly less even and potentially very slightly hazardous. Nevertheless we have a readily functioning garage door again. Thank you.

Thanks for the review, the majority of the pre-1992 doors had springs that were 99 coils and 21 inches long, there were of course a few exceptions over the 40 years prior to 1992, however as discussed the Dolphin grey spring is the only one we can still supply for pre-1992 doors. If yours had 99 coils as per our description and conversation then perhaps it has stretched over time to make it 25mm longer. If you are replacing a spring with a different kind then we can't advise or comment on the safety or function of it I am afraid. There is a full description of the springs on the website. I am glad to hear the door is functioning again however if you feel it is hazardous then please have a local garage door specialist look over it for you to ensure it is safe.

Roller spindle replacement
We have a problem with one of the roller spindles on our garage door for a little while. The plastic roller broke so we had to replace it.
We were able to get exact replacements for the door and have them installed. The door runs smoothly now.
The replacement parts were delivered quickly and contained the parts and instructions how to do the job.
