PDSA Pet Insurance Reviews 

I was previously with pdsa for 18 months. My beautiful 18 month old Akita became very poorly due to what was found to be, after considerable testing a very rare, very serious defect from birth. Pdsa were absolutely brilliant. They took care of the bills for his consultations, extensive testing and medication (including an mri scan with a neurology consultant at a Vetinary hospital) with no hesitation or questioning, and left us to concentrate on him. Unfortunately there was nothing that could be done to save him and we lost him shortly after the results came through. Pdsa made sure everything was paid, cancelled our policy immediately so no more direct debits would be charged at that very difficult time and sent us a lovely deepest sympathy card. Although this was a heartbreaking situation for us I can honestly say pdsa went above and beyond to take the stress and strain of the financial worries away from us. We have recently brought another pup into our family and I had absolutely no hesitation in signing straight up with pdsa again for his insurance. Thankyou pdsa x

Easy to navigate and a very competitive price for what i wanted

It was easy to sign up and the price was very competitive. I've never needed to use the insurance yet.

I cannot recommend PDSA insurance highly enough, excellent monthly payments and very easy claim experience.

Great cover. Good value for money

Dog insurance up for renewal, tried to view policy details through their portal. Tried to login but no luck, so I thought I hadn't registered (I hadn't). Clicked on the 'Register Now' button in my welcome email which took me to the same portal page. The only option is to log in if you're already registered, but there's no option to register so I was left in limbo. I called and, after a long wait, a very helpful person tried to fix it but acknowledged there was a problem at their end. She put me through to a colleague who said they hadn't set me up properly on the system but if I tried to log in now and use the forgotten password option I'd get an email. No I didn't. So I called again. Another long wait and then through all the usual stuff I'd gone through shortly before. I explained the situation and asked if they could just email me the policy details so we didn't have to go through the whole rigmarole again. And...the line went dead. I've spent an hour and a half on the phone and can't be bothered to call back. And they put the premium up 30% when we've never made a claim. Horrible experience all round, strongly suggest you go elsewhere.

A very clear and simple claim process. Once a few details were submitted, PDSA contacted the veterinary practice and took the claim forward. I received an outcome, and the vet's fees were reimbursed super quickly. Highly recommend.

I had to make a claim after having to rush my dog into the vets for emergency due to him being poorly. Initial tests showed a problem with his bladder, further tests confirmed a mass in 1 of his kidneys. While I was waiting in the vets , I started a claim on the online claim process. A email had been sent to my vet within an hour. My dog needed emergency surgery to remove one of his kidneys and 5 days and 4 nights intensive care . Sadly it turned out the mass is a renal cell carcinoma, but our dog is home and PDSA paid out within a week of receiving the information from the vets with no problems , Less our 20% excess. Thank you for being so quick and allowing our dog to live.

Easy to get a quote, no messing about and very competitive on price, nearly half the price compared to Tesco and Sainsburys. Yes I did compare the cover as well
