⭐ Extremely disappointing service – would not recommend
Placed an order with Pets Drugs Online for urgently needed medication for my dog. The veterinary practice’s email address was provided so that the prescription could be obtained. Because the medication was needed urgently, my son also purchased a week’s supply directly from the vets and paid for next-day delivery from Pets Drugs Online.

This was a very expensive order, and unfortunately the experience has been extremely frustrating.

Firstly, the company attempted to take payment twice, yet when my son contacted customer services, they were unable to explain why this had happened.

Even more concerning was the fact that the medication was not dispatched, despite having paid for next-day delivery.

Contacted customer services, who apologised and said they could not understand why the order had not been dispatched. He also raised the issue of the attempted second payment, but again there was no explanation. We were assured that the medication would be dispatched the following day and would arrive by Saturday. We were also promised a refund of the next-day delivery charge.

By this point, a week had passed, so my son had no choice but to return to the vets and pay for more medication to ensure his dog did not go without. This resulted in additional expense that could have been avoided.

Now it is Saturday evening, and we have finally received a Royal Mail tracking notification stating that the medication is due to be delivered tomorrow, Sunday, between 9am and 7pm.

So much for the next-day delivery we paid for.

It is extremely disappointing to be given assurances by customer services that the medication would arrive by Saturday, only to find that it won’t even arrive until Sunday — more than a week after the order was placed.

I appreciate that delays can sometimes happen, but the combination of attempting to take payment twice, failing to dispatch the order, providing incorrect assurances, and leaving us having to purchase additional medication from the vets is simply unacceptable.

When dealing with essential medication for an animal, customers need to be able to rely on a company to process and dispatch orders promptly and accurately.

Very disappointed with the service and the way this situation has been handled. I certainly would not use this company again.

I have used this company regular and been really happy. Like many reviews in recent months I will never use this company again. I’m waiting for urgent medication for my dog. I paid for next day delivery. Prescription approved 07.55 not dispatched as per delivery payment of next day. Spoke to them 8am on following day when delivery was due. They admitted still in the in box and promised delivery next day and refund the delivery charges. Delivery not happened again and order not updated even though prescription approved.

Like others questioning has this company gone bust? I will now look to get my money back and have to go direct to vets as my dog needs his meds. I have emailed and rung and they are now less than useless. Service awful no care for the animals they are meant to be helping.

I had my delivery today the dog worming come in packets out of box with no instructions on how many to give your dog. I have ordered before so I know. If someone did not now then they would have to ask someone or go on the web to find out.
They are not cheap so they should come in a box with instruction.

Half hour going round in circles trying to get them to answer the phone and dont reply to emails either

55 minutes hold on phone last time. Gave up after 20 today.!! No time update whatsoever. Problems with sign in password EVERY Time. Notice saying can't log in just now!!! Really awful customer service. They previously offered a ring back service which was helpful but no longer!!! Not good enough especially for prescription orders!!!

when it goes wrong its truly awful. basically because you cant cancel an order online if something is wrong ( e.g prescription error) and contacting them by email causes delay - which can put your pets health at risk. Contacting them by phone is awful because of huge queue. I would have given 1 star because of this, except when it works it is fine. They take your money all while your order is on hold.So you have no choice but to you brave the huge phone queue, or cancel by email and physically go back to the vet for the meds. No idea when I'll get my money back.

WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE AT THIS COMPANY?

I have an urgent enquiry in relation to my dog's medication. I am ringing and ringing, noone ever answers. I have emailed, no reply. I have sent a Messenger, message seen yet still no reply. My dog is really sick, he needs his medication yet I cannot get in touch with anyone to discuss this. It's time to escalate to a complaint via Citizens Advice Consumer Service. Ask them to bring to the attention of Trading Standards!

I ordered the first time money was taken waited for email to give delivery date nothing so rang to be told need to send a photo of the prescription again i explained need the medication asap as he had 3 tablets left was told pay extra and get them tomorrow i did that still nothing waited until the afternoon they said tomorrow still nothing this was friday rang and woman said sorry if you pay extra again i guaranteed saturday delivery still nothing ended up having to go to out of hours vets and bying 10 tablets i rang monday was not happy they did refund the postage and sent them that day now i ordered tablets last week and same thing taken money no tablets so ordered off another on line site paid the same and have the tablets 48 hours later but trying to get my money back is a joke dont bother they take your money you have to chace and my dog has to have this medication we cant miss it DO NOT USE THESE ABSOLUTE JOKE

Normally quite good service but my last order was only partially fulfilled and the item I need most, prescribed eye ointment for my dog, was missing. They have issues with their telephone system but that doesn’t excuse delays in answering emails. Surely someone would have the sense to purchase a cheap mobile phone and sim!

This company is awful! I ordered a prescription over a week ago and it’s still being processed, I am now out of medication for my dog. The phone lines and chat are down and nobody is answering emails! HAVE THEY GONE BUST?????

Left my pet in DISTRESS with no meds

Have used this company for 5 years. Now it is a disaster. Just received my order which was completely wrong! Tried emailing, calling , and chat is permanently closed, but never a response. Will now use another company.

I been there customer for a year and I'm very disappointed. I can't reach customers services because my dog tablets has been left in not safe place, I requested to leave my parcel in local post office but it's been left in the garden. However I contacted pets drugs and explained the situation and said I don't have a tablets and they told me to go to local police office and then they will be available to put a claim against to the courier company. Its a joke. People be careful and stay away of them. They don't look after the customers they don't care about pets. Now I need to pay double to get the tablets from vets and I lost money to place order though the petsdrugs.

Impossible to contact this company! Emails are ignored. Phone line apparently too busy all day (even at 8am)to be answered. Call back never happens.
Prescription image rejected 3 times, and I had to send the paper script in desperation.
Avoid this online pharmacy. There are better ones.

Ordered my dog’s meds, which always require the prescription to be posted. They know that when I place the order because I tick the box to say it is a paper prescription, but every single time they tell me to scan and upload it instead of giving the address. I didn’t bother this time because it’s pointless, they always email days later telling me to post it anyway.

I tried to confirm the address is still the same, but I was stuck on hold for 40 minutes with no answer. Web chat is closed, and they take 48 hours to reply to emails. If my dog needed this medication urgently, it wouldn’t be possible with a company this slow, frustrating and inefficient.

This company are appalling
They say they have refunded and they have not they then don’t say where it’s refunded to
So you return the product and they basically steal your money but lying about refunding

If they are dishonest about money then do you really want to buy products from them that are used on your pet because they are dishonest so what’s in this pet stuff what else are they dishonest about

after 4 days the meds were still in their warehouse ,4 to 6 working days will likely cross a weekend making it 6 to 8 days for delivery so if you are in a hurry this is not for you. Prescriptions are checked by vets ? Is that really necessary?

Second time ordering my dogs prescription meds had an email saying it would arrive within 4/6 working days. I ordered well in advance to make sure they were here on time. A week and a half later still no delivery so I contacted them to ask where it was, they replied with no explanation and said it had now been dispatched so I have to wait a further 4/6 working days. Shocking customer service no apology and a poorly dog who’s having to go without his medication for another week.
