Jack and the team have been absolute savours for me and my home.

I had a kitchen tap that was leaking, actually driving me insane - called the number on the website, and within a day they had someone out to me and suggested I get a new tap, the chap went up the road, got the correct one for me (luckily I live right next door to Screwfix), and came back, and fitted it.

I am so insanely grateful to the guys for this.

We hired Polkadot to fix our leaking shower and a leaking kitchen tap. Despite multiple visits they failed to identify the source of the shower leak, their engineers disagreed about the source, and they spent hours resealing the shower which was totally unnecessary. While the engineers themselves seemed nice and fairly knowledgable, their back office support was awful, they were nearly impossible to reach by phone and they clearly hadn't briefed each new engineer they sent. I had to chase them multiple times to find out if the parts required to fix the kitchen tap had arrived and then having forgotten to bring the parts, the engineer had to return two more times to fit them and then again to correct the fitting after the tap leak persisted.

Difficult communication initially, but Jonathan was of a great help, kind and professional and the team offered a short term + long term solution to us, which is very satisfying.

Outstanding customer service received from the first approach! Reported a serious electrical issues going on in our SPA, electrician attended to help us within an hour from the call. Very knowledgeable professional who rectified the issue straight away. It was our first time using this company, but definitely not last! Highly recommended

I couldn’t recommend Polkadot Plumbers more highly. Jonathan came out to service our boiler and subsequently identified a gas leak from our cooker. He meticulously checked all the pipes, identified where the source of the leak was and replaced / fixed our gas pipes where needed.

Fabulous boiler service from engineer Johnathan. Have issues with radiators and Jack has given excellent advice which we hope will resolve our problem. Reliable and turned up one time which was great.

A Plumber came to check central heating for 2 non working radiators. He correctly identified they needed valve replacement but said he did not carry the parts on him (which were standard) or have the time to complete the job. He stayed in my property for 20 minutes but charged for a full hour plus parking. Quotes provided by the company for additional works involved an unnecessary power flush and were twice the price of quotes received elsewhere including the price to source the parts.

Polka dot were extremely good and efficient. They went to extra trouble to sort out my dodgy water filter that had been messed around with by a previous plumber. They arrived early as requested. I can definitely recommend them.

Work was carried out quickly, professionally. Very satisfied. The only downside, and the reason I haven't given five stars was the very unpleasant receptionist, who refused to speak slowly (I have severe hearing loss) then sent me an incorrect email. Having paid the bill on completion, she then sent me an email asking for payment. This is obviously a good company - it's a shame that they employ some-one who can't be a little more pleasant.

In January 2022, we employed Polkadot Plumbers to retile our shower, replace the tray and surrounding glass in order to fix a leak that had developed. They did what looked like a good job but the leak persisted and nine months and numerous emails later have still not remedied their work.

I have rated my experience as one star and will update this review when there is any further progress.

Update: Polkadot had engaged Cavalier Bathrooms to remedy the work. It took them several months to fit my job in but in December 2022, two men came and worked diligently over several days to replace the shower tray and retile much of the shower. They spent more time on this remedy than the Polkadot man spent on the initial job. I have delayed reporting to check that the work was good. Since completing the work before Christmas, the shower has worked as expected, has not leaked and as expected there were no additional charges.

In conclusion, I am happy that I now have a functioning shower but frustrated that it took so long to get the repair. I am upgrading the review to three stars.

At last I have found a good and reliable plumbing company. The plumber not only was on time, but was early and hopefully has sorted out the leak in my shower! I will definitely be using Polkadot Plumbers again! Thank you very much!

PolkaDot are now my ‘go to’ for any plumbing work! Efficient online booking, reliable and knowledgeable- I’ve used PolkaDot a few times now and they always go the extra mile!

I got these guys to fix a leaking shower in my flat. James fixed the shower well and didn't try and charge me for an extra hour (like lots of other plumbers do). Would definitely use again. Very good service.
