Porsche Reading’s Sales Manager is so RUDE !!!
I had a horrific experience at Porsche Reading on Saturday - Went in to buy some accessories and parts and was then approached by the sales manager Michael Grady who accused me of attempting to sell a car ! I’ve been a Porsche owner and enthusiast for 24 years and never been so rudely treated. He couldn’t even apologise in person or by telephone when I called him four hours later. I think customer care at Reading is at serious risk with “fools” like this heading the ship.
Edinburgh Porsche Centre
A grinding and protracted purchasing experience that is on par with changing utility providers. From start to finish, at no stage has the process been straight forward, managed or customer focussed. Constant chasing is required, delays and lack of feedback are endemic. Attending in person at the Dealership was pointless as no sales staff were available on site. Sliding delivery dates, changing forms, repeated registrations, sales staff changes, price increases, et al. They have jaded the relationship with Porsche going forwards and ruined the enjoyment of purchasing a "marquee" type vehicle.
Awful and rude customer service
Order your car elsewhere - I placed an order with Porsche Hatfield for a new 911 but after selling my old car elsewhere as they offered a better price I received a tirade of abuse from one of the sales staff. I lodged a complaint and they never even bothered to reply. Needless to say I cancelled my order and went elsewhere. Stay well clear of Porsche Hatfield.
Appalling build quality - 996 turbo
I have really wanted to love Porsche for years, and have had a 986S Boxster, 1988 911 Carrera 3.2 targa, and now a 43,000 mile 996 turbo (all with full service history). I bought the turbo on the basis that it would not be blighted by the bore scoring and IMS/RMS problems blighting affecting many of the 986, 987, 996 and 997 Porsches, but it has been the most unreliable car I have ever owned as a result of other issues! In one year the battery has gone flat many times resulting in several AA call-outs and two alternator repairs, the whole PCM system failed needing a complete replacement, the air con has failed, I have an oil pipe leak and now it has been discovered that there is rust on the undertray and on suspension components (listed on the latest MOT as an advisory! There has been no previous accident damage). If you can't build decent cars, don't sell them. More modern Porsches might be better constructed (finally), but with arcade game electrically assisted steering and incredibly quiet exhausts (so that you have to up-spec the car in your dealership) you could get 95% of the fun, and a lot more respect, by driving a manual Golf R. Never again.
Contract Breach and FCA regulation ignorance
I surrendered my Porsche extended warranty in early October. I was promised a refund of the remaining amount with one month of the surrender date. As I neared the date where I should have received the refund, I was informed that that it would have to wait up to another month for the refund.
I spoke with Porsche GB, they appeared to be unconcerned and not sympathetic, claiming this is a regular occurance and blaming Porsche Germany. I stated that the warranty was an FCA regulated product and they were in breach of FCA regulations of their contract with me.
The sharp answer I received was "There is nothing we can do about it, you will just have to wait"
I will never buy another Porsche and I would recommend that anyone considering it, should think twice. Customer Service, Customer Focus are non existent and contract terms or FCA regulation appear to mean nothing to them
Disgusting service
I I could give no stars I would prefer to give 0 out of ten for customer service at beckton London porsche branch. The blonde old lady in 50s so rude on 2 separate occasions. Unprintable how rude she is attended branch to make enquiry before I even entered the premises she was yelling at me put your mask on she did not have a mask on. Wow I would sack and get rid of such a person I have told 10 of my friends so far and they will now not deal with porsche we will wait until you go bust. Example of who not to have in your business.. Lost my sale
Please, Please think before using this dealership!
How I wish I'd read the reviews on this "garage" before I purchased from them.
Every negative word said about them is believable following my experience of them.
Truly shocking experience and a very poor advert from a supposed marque car dealership.
Absolutely Rubbish
Absolutely Rubbish
Poor service
Over priced
Arrogant
Simply don’t believe they do the work they say they do
Worryingly just had some work done at Porsche Torque in Uxbridge whom have been able to advise that some parts which Porsche Hatfield told me they had replaced and charged me for were in fact still the original parts
Totally destroyed my confidence in Porsche and until meeting Sid at Porsche Torque, I would never have bought another one
Do not use them
Don’t believe them

Sent in my porsche for 3 issues. took 2 weeks before they 'looked at the first issue' and then ordered a part. Advised me they would look at theother 2 when the part had been changed. I questioned why they didnt have a look at the other 2 issues to see if they needed another part? They advised me that might be a good idea but as the car was on the rack they couldnt do it and so would look at the issue when finished the first job. Brainless.... Car still in 3 weeks later
Do not use!!
Completely agree with other reviews…
Completely agree with other reviews here like from Jnm. Porsche Hatfield is a useless dealership. I sent a query for a new car and they came back with some Job Interview question like what made you select Porsche. I replied back saying I have done my research before coming to you so I do not want to answer this type of question. They never showed any interest in arranging a test drive. And this is PORSCHE dealership. I do not understand on thing how come these car companies like Porsche or Landrover do not bother about improving their dealership service.
My favourite manufacturer of cars ...
My favourite manufacturer of cars .... yes they charge me lots each time I visit them for a service but you get what you pay for.
Porsche Hatfield
Porsche Hatfield - do not return calls! Rang up to book MOT no returned call. Rang up month later to book oil change - no returned call.
Know lots of people with Porsches and they all say avoid this dealer, even to the extend of taking their Porsche 60 miles to OPC Silverstone! As opposed to Hatfield 5 miles away.
I used a local independent instead who provided a same day service.
Avoid these amateurs.
where do I start, Porsche Hatfield!
where do I start! Porsche Hatfield
Porsche macan S under warranty. Had some gear change issue. Got it towed to Porsche Hatfield. initially dealt by Lewis, pleasant gentleman, however the car was sitting at the garage for 1 week before it was looked at. Appreciate it was a last minute, but Porsche company should really accommodate. Finally got checked, Lewis went on holiday, so left with a guy called Akmal- terrible service! All I got from the guy is bad news, indirect threats - 'you have one tyre different and non genuine pads, possibly may contribute to the issue you are having with the gear box, possibly may not be covered by warranty'. Then returns the next day, your service is overdue therefore the issue may not be covered under warranty, then returns 'actually its fine, but you will need to change all the tyres and the brake pads and then we'll change your gear box on the warranty'. I then argued show me proof that the tyres and brake pads were a direct cause the gearbox failing- couldn't prove it. Eventually he wriggled out of it and concluded the work will be covered under warranty. This is the best bit, the new gearbox was ordered and they gave me a date of a week and hopefully the work will take 2-3 days and I will have my car by Xmas. Guess what, called a week later 'the new gear box needs a tool to fix the new gear box' my question was why didn't you check you had all the tools to fix the part before ordering. He didn't know why 'as Ive only been here a few months' . I had enough of his incompetencies and complained to the CP (David Jones I think) of the branch. Even better from him 'this new tool is new to us and we don't change gear box every day' - this is PORSCHE FOR GOD SAKE!! Get a grip and provide a better service, know what you're doing instead of winging it!. At the end they got the tool, the CP said 'as an exceptional circumstance we will be asking everyone to come in on Saturday before Xmas to finish your car so you get it before Xmas'- I don't believe that rubbish for once!! And I caught him out when I spoke to the line manager who said 'everyones working on Saturday so that they get the Monday Xmas eve off so they have 3 days off in a row' . So the CP was trying to make me feel guilty because I requested my car before Xmas so they all come in on the Saturday- what a loser and a lier!! Anyway picked up my car today after Xmas, they gave me a whole list of things that they recommend needs changing on the car- as usual from these main dealers, any way of squeezing money out of you! Also, I was also speaking to the service department manager, Nasser, throughout this ordeal, when I arrived at the branch to pick the car up, he could see me from his office, but happily and arrogantly sat in his office chewing his gum feeling like the CEO of Porsche- mate you are an employee so snap out of it! He did not even come to apologise to me regarding the issues I have. In fact, Akmal and Nasser are friends, and they are running the show in services, and an awful show they are running might I add!
My recommendation is DONT go to this dealership, untrustworthy, incompetent, threatening and selfish. Stay away!! Im pretty sure a message below will be an automated one from the branch 'please email us at this address so we can sort this issue' - yeh right, you can get lost!
