What fantastic service from both Ben & Jake in the second hand department! I posted my working Hornby engines etc to them yesterday. Today they emailed & said they were happy to buy them at the estimated price. The money is in our account today! Highly recommend. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I have recently, as a long-time collector of G. & R. Wrenn, purchased several Wrenn pre-owned locomotives from Rails of Sheffield. Just about all of the items have now arrived with me, very expeditiously across the Globe, and I am very pleased to be able to say that all of the arrived items were very well packed, in near mint/ mint condition and all are fully working. I have previously purchased from Rails and have always found their listings to be accurate. I am absolutely delighted with all of the arrived items and I would unreservedly recommend Rails of Sheffield to model railway enthusiasts. I can add that recently I did have to advise Rails that there was an accessory pack missing from a brand new item I purchased from them, they sent me a replacement accessory pack without any hassle at all and to cap everything, the replacement reached me, U.K. to N.Z., in JUST 3 days ! I recently used their trade in service for a few older locos on my collection. They have a dedicated website to enter details of your trade ins and replied very quickly by email with a fair price. They also provided free, insured postage. Once the items were received at their end, payment was very prompt. Overall a very good experience.

Great Service. Prompt and professional. Got the best price for the steam locomotive I was after. It barely took a week to get the locomotive from the UK to Australia. Fantastic after Sales Service. Used rails to sell a batch of model railway products. Their system of identifying products is so much easier to use. Their service and responses throughout was quick and efficient, including prompt payment.I found their valuation was also a bit higher than competitors I approached. I have more to sell and will be definitely be using them now for this.

I have used their secondhand selling service several times. The process of assembling a deal list is straightforward and very easy to use. The response time is very fast and although the prices achieved are probably lower than those possible on eBay or FaceBook Market, the hassle-free experience makes it an attractive alternative. Highly recommended.

Rails of Sheffield are my first choice retailer for all things model railway since reviving my childhood hobby early last year.
From the ease of browsing the website, purchasing stock items, pre-ordering yet-to-be-release items, handling and payment of selling items to them, and dealing with the odd issue, ‘Rails’ are a great company to deal with.
The staff are always friendly, courteous, and accommodating to your needs. I simply cannot fault them.
Just accept that, on very isolated occasions, things can go wrong with products produced by a manufacturer, which are not the fault of the retailer, so it’s a hassle for them to deal with things when product expectations may fall short.
I’ve only had once instance of having to return product due to faulty production, and it was resolved quickly and fuss free.
I highly recommend Rails of Sheffield for all your model railway needs.
